I love the concept of Peter referring to Tony as Mr. Stark just becoming its own thing. To the point where it doesn’t even register as a term of respect, but starts to sound like a separate name entirely like “misastark” or something.
Like when Tony hears someone else call him Mr. Stark, he hears it as “oh they’re trying to be respectful” but from Peter it’s just what the kid calls him.
I also think it would be funny if Peter started calling him Mr. Stark to be respectful at first, but then Tony was like “please just call me Tony at this point I beg” and Peter kept calling him it to annoy him but then he just ended up getting too used to it and Tony just becomes Mr. Stark to him.
They always call each other “Mr. Stark” and “kid” and that’s just how they operate and I find that cute.
They never call each other their actual names unless it’s something serious (like one of them dying oop)

10 things Peter gains by the end of Brand New Day in no particular order (spoilers under the cut).
The biggest favour owed from Frank (because you better believe that Peter will be milking the 'you shot me' like he was the Staten Island incident)
A super powerful little sister-coded friend (which is likely setting him up to become a mentor figure in the future to Miles, and I'm here for it)
Bragging rights about defeating the Hand twice (which is still one less time than Matt. You've got to do better, Pete)
His best friend back (and Ned recognising him either by remembering at the end or at the very least remembering that Spidey's name was Peter was so good)
MJ back in his life (that they didn't force that romance back was such a good decision, and I was so worried that they'd ignore her characterisation for the sake of what Peter wanted. Could probably write a whole analysis on that. Might later. We'll see)
Affirmation that New York loves him (the crowd gathered outside the hospital had me tearing up. I knew Peter would be fine. He's too marketable to kill off at this stage. Him getting to see just how loved he is though? Right in the heart)
A serious level up for powers (he held his own against the Hulk while still wearing the inhibitor, and that was bloody brilliant. And then that he could fight back against Jean Grey's powers too? Love to see my badass Spidey)
A guilt bomb waiting to go off over what happened to Bruce (the red herring foreshadowing of Bruce making the comment about it being a bad thing to suppress your powers implying that Peter would accidentally kill someone he loved [probs MJ] and instead it was Bruce losing control because he's been suppressing the Hulk for years? Love it)
A distrust of any government organisation pretending to be on his side (setting him up as a traitor to other mutants, mutates, enhanced, etc. was a gut punch, and I'm so glad that they explored the way that it was very much not a good thing for Peter to do this, which will make him more sceptical in the future)
Suppressed deep-seated rage that was explored in No Way Home and is still building, building, building after years of being isolated to protect the people he loves (and I am very much looking forward to when that inevitably explodes in the next Spidey movie, especially if they bring Venom in to do that. Ooh. Or Deadpool. Such wonderful character foils Peter has to learn from to express his emotions in a healthy way or turn out like them. Too bad he doesn't have Harry in this universe)
