Personally I would have never made Dabi buff.

He's scrawny to me. Even after joining the league when they get more income, he wouldnt end up buff. I know it's an anime/manga so I don't judge (too much...) but like..I just genuinly don't think ge would have ended up buff, or anywhere near enjis size and build. With the league he'd probably stop being extremely underweight, but not whatever hes actually depicted as canonically. I think he gets ... too big. Something about the skin stretching too adr too quickly and ripping.

Tho its honestly just a personal preference and such. I like when hes scrawny, at least a little bit. Hes destroying himself why does he have to look like hes lifting weights and follwoing a meal plan???? Let Dabi be scrawny!!!!! Really play into his body "not being correct" and have it be a thing taht he cant properly gain muscle

With Hawks I kinda feel like people either underestimate just how brainwashed he is (like I do love fics where he actually joins the League but I don't think any of them could have gotten through to him at that point. He's too trained to see villains as subhuman vermin that are beyond helping) or don't acknowledge how much his upbringing has shaped him into being a human weapon with an unhealthy worldview and just accept he's fine and doing this because he wants to despite the earlier indications he's unhappy, the HPSC abused him and that he'd like to stop taking orders from them. He THINKS this is just how the world is and has to be but it really doesn't have to be. It CAN be kinder.

He's a very gray, complex character trapped in a black and white setting (and yes, fandom at times) and I struggle to find depictions I 100% vibe with (especially as I still don't think he needed to lose his Quirk and am uncomfortable with the fact he did but that's a different ramble entirely)

i'm reading the genius of birds by jennifer ackerman (amazing book) and today i learned that the first ever documented case of a bird making a tool to use as a weapon against another bird was a steller's jay breaking off and sharpening a stick to wield like a lance at a crow that was taking too long at a feeding station the jay also wanted to eat at. the jay tried to stab at the crow but narrowly missed, the crow lunged back, the jay dropped the stick, and the crow picked it up with the sharp end pointing towards the jay and pursued it into the trees
