Yeah alright man

In the final issue of Batman/TMNT Adventures, we get to see what happened to Jonathan after he was sucked into the Kraang portal. He should’ve been transported back to Gotham, but instead Crane finds himself in Dimension X surrounded by Kraang! He barely escapes with his life, the experience haunting him back at Arkham Asylum.

That’s when Batman and Raphael confront the frightened Scarecrow and ask for his assistance in fighting the monstrous aliens. (who’ve have invaded Gotham) As it turns out, Jonathan’s been planning for this ever since his initial confrontation with the Kraang. The GCPD have been unknowingly filling their blimps with a special “anti-kraang” version of his Fear Gas and this is the key to saving Gotham.

Honestly, I’m thrilled at the fact that this comic focus so much on Scarecrow. I would never have expected such a good story from a TMNT crossover! These two pages have some of the best crane-expressions too. I’ve really enjoyed the updated BTAS art style and the amazing writing that accompanies it. This story is definitely worth reading~

Bruce: Alfred, we need more candy.

Alfred: Pardon me, sir, but weren't there only about 4 kids to have come by?

Bruce: Yes, I know, but one of them was dressed as Robin and he said he loved me, so I gave him everything.

Animation practice. Kind of a mess, but I just wanted something simple to find the best lining method in OpenToonz (still haven’t quite found it yet). So there’s a lot of trial and error mismatching in this. Was thinking about the ubiquitous ‘stick a Santa hat on a character’ holiday icon thing, but for Crane it just made me think of The Grinch. Super exaggerated Chuck Jones expressions FTW.
