Going on hiatus
I’ve been mysteriously absent lately, and you all probably saw this coming a mile away, but I am officially going on an indefinite hiatus.
Roleplay just isn’t fun for me right now, and it feels more like a chore or obligation rather than a hobby that I enjoy. There are a few threads I’d like to keep active, but I’m dropping the rest, sorry.
I don’t know when, or if, I’ll come back. I’d really like to, though, since I love writing and I love all the friends I’ve made here. Speaking of friends, I’ll still be active in servers, and mutuals are always welcome to follow me over on my personal or add me on discord. My personal blog is thewuh and my discord is blue#3732.

Other than a few minor differences, Ryuichi is visually identical to Rantaro. The biggest difference is that Ryuichi doesn’t wear accessories, and he doesn’t have piercings, either.
Because of his awful sleeping habits, Ryuichi always looks tired, and he yawns a lot, too. He also rarely smiles, which ends up making him look either really annoyed or really bored.
History:
Despite a fairly normal upbringing, Ryuichi quickly grew disinterested in school and started to rebel more. He skips class a lot, and kind of just does whatever he wants. If he isn’t hanging out somewhere on school grounds, he can usually be found in the library. There are also a lot of nasty rumors going around about him, and a lot of people are intimidated by him.
Ryuichi comes from wealth, and his parents have completely spoiled him rotten. He lives in his own apartment that his parents pay rent for, and he tends to have more money than he knows what to do with. He’s also somewhat greedy and is used to getting what he wants.
Ryuichi is apathetic towards life and has no interest whatsoever in mingling with society and its rules. He doesn’t want a boring life with a boring job but is worried that his life has no direction and that he does not have a future. He decides to join Team Danganronpa in order to make a change in his life, for better or worse.
Additional Notes:
My personal theory regarding pregame is that the audition tapes are real. I also believe that most, if not all of the cast’s pregame counterparts, have completely opposite personalities from their in-game selves. This is why Ryuichi seems like the total opposite of Rantaro. I didn’t have anything else to go off of when I was developing Ryuichi as a character, but writing a tsundere delinquent sounded fun.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Ryuichi is a special case, as Rantaro was a participant in both the 52nd and 53rd killing games. Because of this, all of my pregame threads take place before both killing games. I hope this isn’t an issue.

Seeing that Rantaro loves it made Shuichi very relieved and happy. He felt that the gift was perfect for him, all the more reason he’s happy he liked it.
“You don’t have to do that.” He assures, giving a slight shake of the head. “I’m just glad I was able to pick out something you really liked.”
“Please, Shuichi, I insist!”
He already had an idea, an idea inspired by the lovely map in front of him, but wasn’t sure if he should suggest going on a trip so impulsively or without some consideration. Trips needed time to plan, but who knows? Maybe a surprise vacation was just what the two of them needed.
“Give me some time," he said, "and I’ll think of a way to return the favor.”

“Don’t worry about it.” He said, handing the book to Shuichi. “It’s no problem, really!”
Rantaro was hanging out with Shuichi while he worked on a case, and helping him out where he could. He didn’t know much about the case but was able to put together bits and pieces from the context Shuichi gave him. The two of them had been at it for a while, but thankfully Shuichi was finishing up the last of it.
“Hey, after this you wanna get drinks or something?” He asked. “I’m kinda thirsty.”

“Niiice. I’m all ears, nishishi~! It doesn’t matter where you start, since we’ll probably be stuck in here forever anyway. Ou, but I’m sure none of your stories will beat that one time in Indonesia when one of my subordinates lost their royal allowance for foretasting cheese fondue!”
Kokichi started babbling until he realised he should probably keep quiet and give Rantaro a chance to talk. When asked for a colour, he curiously stared at his hands, before he met his gaze again and cheerily smiled.
“You said I should pick purple for the outfit, so I’m gonna go with purple! But pick one that isn’t such a crazy eye-catcher or I’ll get in trouble on my next sneaking mission. My beloved Rantaro wouldn’t want me to get caught and taken away by the bad guys, riiight?”
“Oh, did I say that? I totally forgot about that, haha.”
Somehow, it completely slipped Rantaro’s mind that he had already picked out a color for Kokichi to paint his nails with. It wasn’t too late for Kokichi to change his mind, however, since Rantaro hadn’t started painting his nails yet. And actually, he could change his mind at any time if he wanted to.
“And yeah, a lighter color would be a good choice for you! I definitely don’t want you to get in any sort of trouble because of me.”

Placing his hands on his own thighs, Kokichi curled his fingers while watching Rantaro relax. He hadn’t imagined Rantaro being the studious type, though, he didn’t expect that he’d be so quick to stop. Well, he didn’t have much room to judge.
“A quick one, huh? You look like you’re about to take a long one!”
Laughing a little, he gently flicked Rantaro’s forehead when he had closed his eyes. Made him feel like lying down himself, but he’d have plenty of time to do that when he was at his dorm. He felt drowsy at that moment. Kokichi wouldn’t show his lack of sleep, of course, he wanted to mess around a bit.
“Ow!”
Rantaro started to relax even more when his peace was suddenly disturbed. He flinched involuntarily when Kokichi flicked his forehead, his body tensing up before quickly relaxing again. He opened his eyes and looked over at Kokichi.
"What was that for?” He asked.

“…You’re not a bad person, right?” He looked up. “Because you don’t get into fights on purpose, right? You just have a certain image so people think badly of you…”
“I mean,” he began, “I do bad things.”
“...But am I a bad person because I do bad things?” He continued. “Or does being a bad person automatically mean everything I do is bad? Is it really that simple? I’ve seen a lot of good people do awful things, but they’re still good people.”

“Ah, w-well-!” Aside from watching DR together, Seiichi didn’t really have any idea what else they do without boring the other too much. Pondering for a second, he responds:
“I know we are going to watch Danganronpa together, b-but we could also do some things like reading some manga together or talking about whatever while relaxing or…ah! Actually, did you eat yet? If not, I could make us something t-to eat!”
“Sure, sounds good.” He replied.
Because he had rolled out of bed before coming over, Ryuichi’s stomach was completely empty. He brought some snacks with him, but he wanted to save them for later. And if Seiichi was offering to make something for the two of them, then that was an offer he couldn’t refuse.
“I haven’t eaten yet,” he admitted, “but feel free to make whatever. I’ll just have whatever you’re having.”
