Nina smiled as the little blonde-haired girl toddled over to her and Michael who instantly held out a hand for her to hold. “Oh no, she’s an absolute angel. This one used to toddle off all the time without me noticing. I think we caught him in the dryer once. Are you two going to the summer festival?”.
“Oh good. Sometimes she’s not an angel at all. She is so fast for only knowing how to walk for about six months,” Rowan smiled as she scooped up the little girl and nodded. “We are going to be heading there now. I just needed a pick me up before I went.”

Fallon looked up from the small girl she was sharing her cake pop with, “Oh no don’t worry. She’s coerced me into giving her a bite of my cake pop so I hope that’s alright with you… You’ve got a cheeky one on your hands.”
Rowan smiled as she scooped up the small girl, nodding her head. “Totally fine. She tends to make people give in to her. I have a spoiled girl on my hands. If she gets a sugar high, though, you can take her,” she joked with a smile.

Walking into the nearby coffee shop, Jacob hadn’t necessarily expected to find a little girl wandering up to him first thing. His brows raised, about to ask her where her parents were, but before he could, he found her supposed mother hot on her tail. Jacob offered a smile shaking his head. “No, it’s totally fine – she hasn’t gotten into any trouble. It must be difficult to keep track of a little explorer.”
Scooping Florence up, Rowan smiled and nodded at his statement. “Oh, she’s very fast, too. You would think a one year old isn’t such a good runner, but damn, she goes. Sorry about her, though. I know I said it before, but I wanted to make sure.”

Declan nodded along as she spoke, wondering if he should ask more or chill since it was clear that her relationship with her family was less than pleasant. Instead he smiled and offered a bit of his own history. “New York. The suburbs, though, like 20 minutes from the city. Born and raised. Went to undergrad on the east coast and then after joined the army. That’s where I got my medical training from. After I was discharged with an injury I was in New York a little bit before moving to Boston last year when I got offered this job. So here I am, a Yankee fan in Red Sox territory,” he replied with a soft laugh. “A very bold move, I know.”
Rowan listened as she took a drink of coffee, setting the cup down. “Well, thank you for your service, kind sir. Are you okay now?” She knew there was a possibility that he didn’t want to talk much more about what happened, but the blonde was a little too curious for her own good. “Oh lord. How do you survive? I’m sure everyone judges you here. I don’t really watch much sports wise. I don’t really understand any of it. I probably could learn if I had the patience, but that’s rare. Especially nowadays.” She started to trace the rim of her cup in thought. “What made you want to be a doctor? Or a surgeon, I guess?”
Walking into the coffee shop with her daughter, Rowan let her hand off the child’s back to pay, letting the little girl roam away from her mother. Turning around to find her, Rowan grabbed her money and went straight to the child and stranger. “Sorry if she bothered you. She loves people.”
“Okay, the season is officially over, and I have slept for almost three days straight,” Winnie started, her hand pushing her hair out of her face. “Which means I officially need to go out and do something fun. You have any suggestions? I live like a hermit from October to May so it is well overdue.”
“I wish I knew something fun to do. I don’t really do much outside of work and taking care of my child. I’m sure there’s a ton of things going on with the summer.” Rowan gave her a smile with a nod.
“Listen sugar-” she drawled out the same term of endearment that the other had been calling her for the past twenty minutes, though her tone held no affection. In fact, the word came out as bitter and sarcastic as she could make it. “-I’m not interested like at all so if you would please just leave me the fuck alone, that’d be great. If you need help finding the exit, it’s that way.”
Rowan was watching the two converse, letting out a laugh as she moved to the side of the brunette. “And I request that you find that accent right away. You wouldn’t want another woman annoyed at you.”
‘ — – - wow…this place really hasn’t changed a bit…. ‘ pandora murmured in slight awe. slipping out of the moving truck, she moved her hands on her hips before tsking slightly. she didn’t exactly think out how she’d get some of the heavier things into her home. looking around, she called out to the closest person. ‘ hi…hey….erm…hello…i’m sorry this is kind of out of the blue, but can i borrow you for like two hours ?? i just need help moving boxes into my place… ‘ she explained as she sunk her teeth into her lower lip. ‘ to make it a better deal…i’ll totally throw in pizza and beer ?? ‘
Walking with Florence to her clothing shop, Rowan looked over at the girl who spoke. “I would help, but I have to do merchandise for my shop and take my daughter to daycare. Maybe you could call for movers to help you?”

“You know, sometimes I think it’s where I live too so you’re not the only one.” He smiled and shrugged, “Whatever you want to tell me,” he replied before blowing on and sipping his coffee. “San Diego is nice, I mean I haven’t been in a while but I went back in college and loved it. Ah, right, you own a boutique, that fits with the whole fashion thing. That’s awesome, though, you definitely get all the seasons here. I mean sometimes you get all four seasons in one day,” he joked. “That’s great though, do you have a lot of family back in Cali or do you go back often?”
The blonde smiled at him as she nodded, taking a drink of the coffee. “We do get the seasons here. It’s really nice, actually. San Diego got boring from time to time and I just needed to get away from there.” Looking up at him, she shook her head. “It’s just my parents there. I haven’t been back since I had Florence. They weren’t huge fans of me being a single mom. And I’m not really close to them before my little girl, anyway.” Rowan ran a hand through her hair, looking at him. “What about you? Where are you from?”

“Maybe one day someone will-and maybe one day they’ll believe it.”
“I hope so. They deserve it.”

“Well maybe when she gets out you can go get her favorite meal and everything will be alright.” He nodded and smiled softly. “Yeah, I know, it’s never a good setting. I mean I work here and it stills feels eery, but you get used to it after so long. You know, occasionally, I do things outside of these walls, maybe we could hang out some time when your daughter is back to full health.” He ordered them both coffees and paid quickly before finding a table for them to sit at. “So aside from your daughter and your store, I realize that I know like nothing about you and I intend on fixing that. So, you should tell me more about you,” he replied with a soft laugh. “I can’t remember, are you from here originally?”
“I’ll have to. I’m not the best cook, so I think going to her favorite restaurant will make up for it.” She smiled and nodded as she thought about it. “I hope you do. It would be hard if you didn’t. Oh, you do? I thought you just had a bed here and this is where you lived,” Rowan joked as she followed him, sitting down in the chair. “What do you want to know?” As he asked where she was from, the blonde shook her head as she took a drink. “I am originally from San Diego. I moved here when I was around twenty one. Roughly. I went to the Fashion Institute in LA and then decided to move to Boston to experience the seasons.”

“Well, I’m quite unimpressed.” Her nose now hidden behind a monogrammed handkerchief, Mizuki eyed the blonde suspiciously. Plastic flowers were, in her opinion, cheap and low class. To trust a woman who put her faith in them seemed ill-advised. “You weren’t mucking about in pollen, were you?”
“I’m glad I’m here to impress you and no one else,” Rowan rolled her eyes as she ran her hand through her hair. “No, I haven’t even been near pollen. Maybe it’s the person behind you,” she pointed behind the woman, the man holding two dozen flowers.

“I know. It feels so unreal. How long did it take you to find the right building? It took me probably a month or two.”
“It took me about six months. But I was looking online before I moved here, then when I moved it took about two months.”
“So it’s official (papers are signed and in my position)- I am now the proud owner of a building for my storefront, workshop and storeroom. Perhaps a little more space than I needed but it was as close to perfect as I could get.”

“That’s awesome! I remember how it was when I bought the building for my clothing shop.”
Melody grabbed a bag of grapes from the produce section in the grocery store, taking a few out of the bag and tossing them in her mouth to taste them before putting the bag in her cart. About to move onto the next section, she notice that someone had seen the whole thing. “You have to taste them to know if they’re ripe.” She said with a shrug.
Nodding her head, Rowan smiled as she looked at her child who was also eating grapes. “I just weigh before I gave them to her so I’m not lying too much about how much I got. They keep her quiet so I don’t care.”
Lunch in the park sounded like a good idea up until about five minutes ago. It wasn’t often that Eden got enough free time for lunch to visit the park let alone sit down long enough to eat a whole meal. Thanks to today being a slow day she made the choice to enjoy the beautiful weather at last. Picking up her food at the local sandwich shop, Eden walked the three blocks to the park. Once there she found a nice spot a bench. It all going great until the birds showed up. Now she sat irritated, watching as her sandwich was eaten by one of the birds. “Look at that deceitful little shit. So damn pleased with itself about stealing my food.”
Rowan needed a break from her shop. Having one of the workers take over for the afternoon, the blonde took her daughter for a walk in the park, feeling Florence pull her hand as she saw the birds. “I don’t know why they like to take our food. I guess theirs isn’t good enough.”
