~~Chuck Thibaut, artist, crafted this bass in tribute to Pete. He’s only making a very limited run of these, green or red, Alpha and Omega… This is the one he presented to JD at Duff’s Alcohol Abuse Center, Brooklyn, Noo Yawk, a name everyone knows and loves.

“Hats off to Jimmy Duff on one bad ass wall mount! This bass is officially “at home.” I’m one proud papa today seeing 4 years of my work enshrined at Duff’s. It’s like The Louvre for all things Type O Negative.”
"Now that I’m home from New York, I want to thank everyone who helped make my time there go smoothly. Thanks to Joey Rudolph for letting me hang out & stay at his house. The welcome & hospitality will never be forgotten & thanks for being my eyes & ears during the hour-long, rainy drive to Duff’s! I would have been screwed without your navigational skills! Thank you to Jimmy Duff for having such a kick-ass, World Famous metal bar & for accepting & displaying my work. It is an honor & the most befitting place for the bass to be enshrined. Thanks also to Jimmy for all the cool Duff’s swag that you loaded me down with in return. That was unexpected, but very, very appreciated, so thanks for the kind gesture. Also, thanks for the post on Duff’s news feed & the brief article. Sorry I look like I’d been partying for a week straight, but I was running on 6 hours of sleep over 2 days. The bass was 100% finished at 8 p.m. on the 30th (I NEVER PROCRASTINATE!!!) A HUGE thanks to the members of Pete’s family who were in attendance. Marie Rowan, Darcie Rowan, Pete’s sister, Pam along with all those who accompanied them that evening. It was great to finally meet all of you & it meant the world to me that you all were there! Thanks to Joey, Darcie & Marie for taking pics & sharing them on my wall. My camera is taking lousy pictures these days so thanks for stepping in & covering that base for me! It was an undertaking & journey I will never forget & all those who were there with me at Duff’s were as good as gold. I can’t wait to go back for a return visit only next time on no deadline, well-rested with no pristine bass to guard with my life & no worries of any mishaps or anything possibly going awry in 10 hours of driving. I’ll go there at a comfortable pace & make sure I have plenty of time to stop & smell the roses in that overwhelming city. I want to pull up a stool at Duff’s & do some drinking & listen to the jukebox blare out the finest metal. Saving the best for last, thank you Peter, Kenny, Johnny Kelly & Josh Silver. Your music, style & the infinite impact you have made on a legion of fans & a genre is it’s own dynamic as well as it’s own language & to some, religion. Rest In Peace, Greenman & Hail Vinnland Forever.”
