 Dinner Corps Diplomatique ➳ Queen Máxima wore the Ruby peacock parure tiara to the yearly dinner hosted for the Corps Diplomatique in the Palace at the Dam Square in Amsterdam, 23 April 2026. Máxima chose the tiara and the necklace (and I think I also spotted the bracelet) of the ruby peacock parure. Though I like the pieces seperately, I'm still not sure what I think about them being worn together, it's a bit much. And this old dress! I think she wore it first in 2007. I was already roaming the royal forums back then. 👵🏻

♛ Queen Margrethe II of Denmark ➳ Margrethe wore the Baden palmette tiara to the wedding of prince Carl Philip of Sweden and Sofia Hellqvist, 13 June 2015. I love it when Queen Margrethe wears this tiara with its heart shaped scrolls to weddings!

 Belgian state visit to Norway ➳ The Belgian royal couple made a state visit to Norway and King Harald and Queen Sonja hosted a state banquet in their honour, 24 March 2026. Queen Mathilde of course wore her wall of diamonds, the Nine Province tiara. After all these years of tiara watching I'm still not sure if I like it or not. Queen Sonja opted for her old faithful, Queen Maud's diamond and pearl tiara. It's one of the better tiaras in the Norwegian vault. They have some significant historical pieces, but none of them would end up in my top 25 of best tiaras, I'm afraid.

♛ Princess Theodora of Greece ➳ Theodora wore the Khedive of Egypt tiara on her wedding day, 28 September 2024. Such a lovely tiara!

 Nigerian state visit to the United Kingdom ➳ The British royal ladies attended the state banquet in honour of the Nigerian president, 18 March 2026. Queen Camilla opted for the George VI sapphire tiara (a new favourite, it seems), Catherine returned to her old faithful, Anne wore the meander tiara and Birgitte wore the Iveagh tiara. How the Gloucesters ended up with all the best tiaras is a real mystery to me...

♛ Queen Letizia of Spain ➳ Letizia wears the Spanish diamond floral tiara to the state banquet in honour of the Peruvian president, 7 July 2015.  I absolutely love this dress! And even though I have seen this tiara so many times on Letizia, I don't even mind, because it's one of my favourite nature themed tiaras, together with Luxembourg's Vine leaves tiara.

♛ Princess Astrid of Norway ➳ Princess Astrid wore Queen Alexandra's turqoise circlet for her 94th birthday portrait, 12 February 2026. Gotta love Astrid!

♛ Princess Mabel of Orange-Nassau ➳ Mabel wears Princess Mabel's wedding tiara during her wedding, 24 April 2004.  I love this tiara, I wish it would be worn more often, there is no reason why Maxima can't wear it to a state visit to a republic. I bet it would look great on Amalia too. About Mabel's famous bow dress: back then I was like wtf are you wearing? But I saw it in a Viktor & Rolf exhibition in Rotterdam many moons ago and I have loved it ever since. It's just a piece of art. ❤️

♛ Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie of Luxembourg ➳ Stéphanie wears the smaller version of the Chaumet diamond and pearl choker tiara during the Dutch state visit to Luxembourg, 23 May 2018.  I have a lot of issues with the Luxembourgish tiara collection. But I think this tiara is tolerable, as long as it is worn without the pearls, like Stéphanie does here.

♛ Danish state visit to Lithuania ➳ Frederik and Mary ended their series of state visits to the Baltics with a state visit to Lithuania, 28 January 2026. During the state banquet Mary wears her Edwardian tiara. A lovely choice!

♛ Princess Mathilde of Belgium ➳ Princess Mathilde wore the Belgian laurel wreath tiara to the pre-wedding dinner of hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg and Stéphanie de Lannoy, 19 October 2012.  Such a boring wedding! 😝 Jokes aside, this is one my favourite looks for Mathilde.

♛ Norwegian gala dinner for the Diplomatic Corps ➳ Harald and Sonja hosted the traditional gala dinner for the Diplomatic Corps, 29 January 2026. For the dinner Queen Sonja wore Queen Maud's diamond and pearl tiara and princess Astrid (our trooper!) chose Queen Alexandra's turquoise circlet.
