This blog is for posting prompts that are either for Roy x Jamie or Roy x Jamie x Keeley fanworks.

Submissions and asks are open for submitting prompts. While subject to change, if I realize there's something else that really crosses a boundary for me, I'll accept any prompts, including nsfw ones, except for the following A03 Major Archive warnings: "underage" and "rape/non-con" (if it's past sexual abuse/getting out of an abusive relationship, fine. If it's between Roy, Jamie, and/or Keeley, that's a "no" from me, folks.) And, just to be clear, thought crimes aren't real, and censorship is bad. Read and write whatever you want. This is just because this crosses boundaries for me personally, and this is my blog, so I choose the content.

new royjamie prompt: s.3 pre-relationship roy gets a dog (on dr sharon' suggestion) that he bring everywhere, looks after, calls a good girl when she follows the commands he's trying to teach her, gives her snackies. Jamie is jealous (why am I jealous of a dog?). The team know.

I need you to elaborate the kind of dog he gets. Because the vibe changes soooo wildly depending on what it is. And I'm literally there for every iteration of this!

My go to is always a german shepherd because I feel like that would be Roy's choice because he does like them loyal, confident, hardworking, intelligent, highly trainable and eager to please (reminds you of anyone?). I feel like coach Roy would be spending a lot of time in the breaks training the puppy on different commands and Jamie would be annoyed while the team just sees Roy doing exactly what he does with Jamie, same wording and all.

It has to bs a girl because I feel like if Jamie was jealous of "good boy" that would be too obvious 🙈

However I can see him getting an annoying little puppy that he keeps on his lap and in his arms and on his chest all the time, that alternates between behind a sad little whiney thing and just non stop yapping... and Jamie would totally turn to Sam "but then he tells ME to stop yapping! but when SHE does it, oh it's so cute" gne gne gne gne 😒😒😒 or a sleepy pug and Jamie is jealous of the amount of time it gets to nap and drool ON Roy! ("Disgusting")

The other option is a staffy but that's only because I saw one the other day and they're fairly built, but it was like having a super chilled slow walk and I swear it looked like the butt naked winnie the pooh Jamie walk 🤣

Also consider this scenario:

Given how many retired race hounds are up for adoption in Britain, I'm picturing Roy walking in with a German Shepard or Staffy in mind, and then he finds the most unsocialised, jittery, shaky greyhound or whippet. It's only been a racing dog, it's never been inside a home and it's the worst idea he's ever had in his life, but when he pets her, she damn near climbs him for more, begging for affection. And well, fuck!

So Roy rolls up at Nelson Road with a greyhound of his own. The very last thing she wants to do is run, all she wants is to curl up somewhere comfy and sleep.

And then she decides that the spot under Jamie's bench is the one and only place for her.

Not Jamie bitching about her and yet she keeps going to hide under his bench and it's the only place she feels safe because she senses he's good and will take care of her and protect her if needed

And he keeps bitching but he starts caring, sneaks her snackies and lets her have his sock that fell down, he keeps the act of being annoyed but deep down he's become attached (remind you of anyone?)

Roy has set up a dog bed for her, so comfortable a human could sleep in it, in his office. It takes up so much space, and she is absolutely not interested in the least, not even a little bit. She'd rather nap on the floor under Jamie's bench.

Sometimes she licks his ankles when he comes out of the shower and Jamie makes a big show about it being gross, while failing to suppress a smile. Eventually, he just gives in and they get a smaller dog bed and put it right under his bench, since there's apparently no arguing with her on this one. She's a perfectly good girl, super super happy to learn everything Roy teaches her, especially for a bit of chicken. But the spot under Jamie's bench is not up for debate.

At some point they just try to make it her corner, and Jamie takes a cubby a few meters away to give her some space.

Welp, turns out it wasn't about the location, but the company, because suddenly the dog bed is abandoned again, and Roy's dog is back under his bench.

There's something hurting when I think of her showing Jamie unconditional love, not that he would eve hurt her but he bitches about his ankles getting licked, stolen socks etc and yet she keep coming back hoping he comes around (remind you of anyone?)

The team would definitely give her a cubby, even if she moves back to Jamie's, Will gets one with her name and a paw instead of a number and they keep her toys and treats in there and all the boys print their selfies with her so she has pictures to put up in it 🥰

I also can't resist to mention the idea of Jamie being either sick or about to have a breakdown because of lack of sleep and being exhausted and they find him sleeping in the big dog bed in the office 🤣🤣🤣 it's the only time the dog actually ends up using it, to give him a cuddle!

Imagine Jamie drives home after an away game just to find his father and his friends camping outside his front door waiting for him. He drives by his own driveway and back to work. He could call a friend, he could go to a hotel, but he's just not up for it, and it's already so so late. All he wants is to lay down. So he circles back to work and just lays down under Roy's desk in the dog bed that Roy's dog never used and falls the fuck asleep.

The next morning, he wakes up to the dog lying down on top of him and Roy looking under the table, a little worried.

I'm just spitballing a few things but if anyone has something else or something more specific for anon, please share!

Some ideas for conflict/hurt/comfort here:

The media being involved in a trans player's pregnancy either because the media is questioning a trans player on a men's team or because it's human interest but still an invasion of privacy for them (or both happening at the same time, depending on the media source). You know Roy would punch reporters for him (though Roy being the team's manager complicates that a bit)

When trans men are pregnant, there are transition meds they have to stop for the sake of the pregnancy which can lead to gender dysphoria.

Jamie could be having a difficult pregnancy necessitating he stop playing much sooner than expected, which I think he would struggle with

Some additional thoughts:

Jamie having doubts about being a dad because of his dad (which is definitely something there is fic about already but not for a specifically trans Jamie which likely complicates the issue for gender reasons since I'm going to go out on a limb and say James Tartt Sr. is probably transphobic. But luckily, his mum and Simon are very supportive).

I thought of the specific scenario of Jamie getting pregnant during Lust Conquers All (they're probably supposed to use birth control on shows like that but suspend your disbelief for the sake of drama) and then being in the same situation he is at the beginning of s2 but also pregnant

something something about roy always being the caretaker in his relationships and getting overly emotional the first time someone *cough cough* jamie *cough cough* takes care of him. Imagine jamie washing his hair for him after knee surgery and forcing a skincare routine on him cause self-care darling (plus it's not like roy can run away from him). It will break you a bit when you've never experienced someone being that gentle with you.

having seen Brett in both Adult Life Skills and Super Bob I am here begging for a royjamie or royjamiekeely ted lasso slightly-AU where Roy's personality is closer to Brendan/Bob, he's very introverted, shy, soft spoken, a lil awkward and blushes like hell and jamie or jamie/keely make him so flustered all the time

I very rarely think about storylines for royjamie after richmond (because it breaks my heart a little to think of anyone of the team leaving) but like it's possible that jamie would choose to stay with richmond his whole career, it's also possible that the people at richmond itself would push for him to play for *insert the name of whatever other european football team is considered the best* and he becomes a proper super star, being invited for fancy events and shit.

(In a made up world where Ted stayed in London) Roy and Jamie got together while at richmond and now Roy travels with him everywhere as his own personal coach / PA / secret boyfriend / man behind the camera of every instagram post / personal grumpy cat / number one fan / emotional support teddy bear / personal chef etc He loves being with him 24/7 and finds it fulfilling to still be involved with football and helping someone be the best they can be but without the added pressure of having to constantly step outside his comfort zone that he'd have experienced being a manager to a whole team (he's doing good with being vulnerable with Jamie, he can do it with one person that he loves and he is still going to therapy for himself to work through his own trauma/CEN/grief and is focusing on learning to be in his skin as a human being and not this fucked up idea of masculinity he's got in his head) And Roy has a private instagram account under a random username where he follows and is followed only by the richmond team/coaches/Rebecca/Higgins + Keely + Georgie & Simon + his sister and he only uses it to post pictures of food, nature, weird shit he finds in the cities they visit, and his fit boyfriend. Since it's friends only he does use captions ("the muppet had a late night last night" with a picture of Jamie asleep on the floor) and all the himbos love to comment, especially Dani's "Sexy muchachos #JOY" under every single picture.

Super whump jamie centric prompt / trigger warning for CSA, SA, james tartt and zava being assholes. It could be RJ/RJK (but also would love soft Will being present somehow and I love coach Bear and Jamie silent supportive relationship) ................................................................................................... ................................................................................................... I just have the icks every time I see the way Zava is around Jamie, both the way he touches him and talks to him, so I couldn't help but think of a scenario in which those touches go slightly beyond what is in canon and into sexual harassment and assault (grabbing him in inappropriate places, threatening him, making sexual gestures, and general violence like grabbing him at the back of his head like in the weight room) etc. Now from Jamie's POV he first of all struggles with "learned silence" and is unable to enforce boundaries (which is a very common thing among survivors of CSA and we're assuming he's not ever said anything about Amsterdam and this is pre-bike ride with Roy + he's canonically bad at setting boundaries with his own father and already has an off relationship with his own body #LCA). He also doesn't want to antagonize the team again since they're finally friends again and they're all super into Zava so he just really struggles every day with Zava being a piece of shit to him, everyone loving his abuser, even the coaches not taking his suggestion when he puts it out as "for the good of the team" etc

Maybe he finds support in an expected figure like Trent Crimm or Leslie or Will (my heart has a soft spot for Jamie and Will cuddling, a couple of puppies!) or Dr OSullivan or Dr Sharon.

To make it even worse, but it's not really part of the main prompt I guess, there would be something even more awful that could have happened aka either Denbo/Bug (who are aware of Amsterdam) harassing him once back in Manchester (threatening to tell Georgie or making jokes about maybe Jamie not liking it cause it was a woman) or someone at Man City academy (like a doctor or a physio - I feel weird it being a coach because then it'd make the royjamie of it all very hard to explore - who sees Jamie struggling post-Amsterdam, being irritable and sad and zoning out and who gets him to open up) actually betraying that trust and taking advantage of him and him being unable to speak up about it both because he just did and look what happened, but also, of course, because of shame surrounding it (and it having happened again) and not wanting to cause pain to Georgie and not wanting to be kicked out of the team like he's being threatened. So you can see how this all would cause even more conflict in Jamie wanting to speak up about Zava to the coaches at Richmond.

(Sorry for the angst! It would all, of course, need a good those of hurt/comfort because that is what we live for in the end. This is just the bad stuff of the prompt, but it can go in any direction in terms of how he does bring it up and recovery and getting help and the RJ/RJK of it all).

Zava gives me bad vibes all around, and he definitely pushes Jamie's boundaries in ways that make Jamie uncomfortable, so, unfortunately, yeah, I could see this happening, making the whole Zava arc even worse for Jamie.

I hope that all the coaches, not just Roy, find out about it because I need them all to realize that Jamie was right about Zava from the get go. I will forever be bitter at the show for the conclusion of the Zava arc being that he left himself and not that the coaches realized he was ruining the whole team's dynamic exactly like Jamie said he would. And this would make it soooo much worse.

With Roy’s birthday coming up, Jamie decides to be bold and order some special male lingerie and surprise Roy after they get home from the birthday party with the team. Roy just about keels over when he comes into their bedroom to find Jamie waiting for him.

Evil boyfriend gets his ass landed in jail while Roy devotes himself to helping Jamie recover. They grow closer, and later Jamie gets pregnant again. Roy is over the moon and shows Jamie what a true expectant father is supposed to act like. Roy and Jamie glow together.

But when the doctor calls Jamie’s baby ‘hers’ under her breath at a checkup the warning bells become sirens. He finally tells Roy, which leads to an investigation where it’s revealed the doctor was indeed planning to steal baby Tartt-Kent because she’d lost her own baby a few months prior and just fixated on Jamie at first sight. It’s a terrifying situation but Roy never falters in guarding Jamie and their baby

I've read a few fics now where Phoebe is hurt/upset/sick and wants Roy when Jamie is the one there.

Consider that Phoebe doesn't want Uncle Roy either. She wants her mum. Jamie and/or Keeley are trying to make Roy feel better about it while they're all trying to make Phoebe feel better in general.

(Based 100% on the fact that I've lived with and helped raise my nephew since he was 2. He never wants me. He always wants his mom.)

(Unless he's mad at his mom...then he comes to me...so Phoebe being mad at both her mum and Uncle Roy about something and going to Jamie and/or Keeley about it, also valid)
