If you like both TOH & Sonic, raise your hand!
Some recent stuff from Twitter.
My Updated Pokemon Team
Pokemon has been part of my childhood since late 2010. I love the character designs, the art direction, and the narrative. Before going to Miraculous Ladybug and TOH era, one of my old fixations was Pokemon.
These are my parties I've gone through countless battles in Pokemon main games. The relationship I've build with these Pokemon are still fresh and juicy in my mind. Let's be begin my chronological order!
1.) Pokemon FireRed
First of we have Pokemon FireRed, which was one of my first two Pokemon game alongside Emerald. All I remember is that my starter was Charmander and I really enjoyed using Raichu, Nidoking, and Lapras during the playthrough :D
2.) Pokemon Emerald
I played the Emerald version when I was 8 years old, though I didn't understand the concept of Pokemon gameplay at first. Blaziken was over leveled for the rest of the playthrough due to its type combination and I beat Norman's Slaking easily with just my Blaziken.
3.) Pokemon Diamond & Platinum
In Gen 4, I had two version of my Sinnoh team:
My original team in Pokemon Diamond included Staraptor and Lucario. However, my Platinum team needed more spices, so I replaced my Staraptor and Lucario with Togekiss and Weavile respectively to balance out my team composition. Considering Cynthia's battle was goddamn hard :"3
4.) Pokemon HeartGold
I got my start with my Johto chapter in Pokemon HeartGold version because I never actually played a Gen 2 game. :(
But yeah, Espeon was dope when it came to Poison type coverage.
5.) Pokemon White and White 2
Near the end of the in-game storyline, I replaced my Archeops with Braviary for being a badass Normal/Flying type birdie. It took me times to get my Rufflet to fully evolved, but once it did. It was definitely worth it as this Pokemon is pretty good.
I enjoyed Pokemon White 2 over one of the original games because it provided more variations for Pokemon in Unova region and I think my team in B2W2 was much better. Both Lucario and Arcanine were really powerful Pokemon and I had no regrets about capturing them. Apart from Reuniclus, I gotta say it's great.
6.) Pokemon X
My team for Pokemon X was incredible. Okay, for the starter Pokemon I chose was Froakie and after it fully evolved, it was truly a great member of my team. Early on in the game I caught a Fletchling and when it later evolved into Talonflame, it was one of the strongest early bird Pokemon that I've ever owned. Also, the only Pokemon that went Mega evolving was Lucario and it's OP as always.
7.) Pokemon Ultra Sun
For my starter Pokemon in Alola region, I chose Rowlet. It was a pretty last-minute decision because up until I chose it, Litten was originally going to be my starter. But hey, I didn't regret because once it was fully evolved into Decidueye this was easily the best member of my team. Another Pokemon that caught my attention is Alolan Vulpix, which turned into Alolan Ninetales due to its beautiful design. In-battle gameplay? Well, it was decent.
8.) Pokemon Sword
Man, Cinderace turned out to be the strongest out of three starter final evolutions in my opinion, thanks to its diverse moveset. What made me loved Cinderace even further beyond anything was its signature move Pyro Ball. Honestly, this is the coolest move animation I've ever seen in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Toxictricity was surprisingly good tho due to its unique typing.
9.) Pokemon Scarlet
After final evolutions of Paldea starters were leaked, I can't lie I had actually had a mixed opinion with Meowscarada tbh but Sprigatito was still adorable. Tinkaton was a surprise as it took the hearts of fans worldwide. Its design and gameplay were unique and fun.
One thing about me is that I will always pace around. At a hospital waiting room?? Catch me strolling around and making everybody nervous with my restless energy

Let's begin our new adventure!
Guess who is back to Pokemon phase..
Tumblr is 200% better then Twitter
100% true!!! Plus, Tumblr also gives a freedom to edit our posts
As soon as I realized Hunter was pretty similar to Shadow: the red-eyed edgelords, the artificial lifeforms, having abusive father figures. Overall, the upcoming The Owl House x Sonic was a fun project that I had been working on for like 5 months now.
crime kids! crime kids!
bonus:
Oh.. I also want to say that I'll be focusing more on whatever I like to draw than specific fandoms from now on so if you follow me for fan contents only, I wouldn't hold it against you if you choose to skip it ><
I'm officially back to Pokemon and Sonic phase!!! Also, I will do more Genshin or other fan contents than TOH and Miraculous Ladybug.
Jacob's No Pressure Guide to Learning How to Enjoy Art Practice
DISCLAIMER: I own none of this. All of it is just an abridged version of the Drawclass (link: Drawclass 04/29/2022: Jacob's No Pressure Guide to Learning How to Enjoy Art Practice - YouTube). Please watch the video for the full experience, context, and nuance.
So, recently Jacob Andrews from Drawfee taught a class on how to practice art without putting too much pressure on yourself, and honestly, it was excellent. Do give it a watch if you're also facing a wall in getting started on art practice (also subscribe to their channels and support them on Patreon for more excellent content :D). Since I don't really have a good memory for basically anything, I did what I usually do to memorize stuff: I made notes. This blog post is basically just for me, but I'll be glad if it helps other people too. (again, all credit to Jacob and Nathan for the excellent Drawclass).
The Rules
Rule #1: Pick any 5 days during the week to practice. Take your break days whenever you want.
Rule #2: Set a minimum time for each day that is easily achievable. Continue drawing after that only if you feel like it.
Rule #3: If you miss a day, it doesn’t matter. Just try again the next day. (Avoid thinking of it as maintaining your “streaks”)
Rule #4: Do NOT try to do a good job (Practice is INPUT). The only judgment you get to make is if you drew or not.
Rule #5: Focus on something you want to improve on each week. It can be as general or specific as you want it to be.
The Schedule
Day 1: Draw from imagination to the best of your ability
the aim is to get warmed up and also to get a baseline for the week
Jacob’s Example: Jumping poses, 15 minutes
Day 2: Speed sketching
numerous and fast drawings from reference
Fast is subjective, whatever feels comfortable for you (the upper limit is 3 minutes, Jacob does 30 seconds to 1 minute)
Not going for detail, just capture the structure and vibe, as fast as you can
No need to even save it
Jacob’s Example: 10 minutes, ~1 minute for each reference photo (reference photos from Pinterest)
● Nathan’s sketches from the same reference photos:
Day 3: Reference drawing
Pick references (the number is up to you) and spend a little more time with each one
Capture details and complexities this time (like if day 2 was poses, then in day 3, try to capture musculature or folding of clothes etc.)
Doesn’t have to be a one to one copy, you can stylize
Another thing you can do is lower the opacity of the reference image and place your sketch over it to see which areas need improvement. In case of Jacob’s example, he mentions that the torso and legs are too short (areas of improvement which he was already aware of, so in general he tries to keep those in mind while drawing).
Nathan’s sketches from the same reference photos:
Day 4: Style study
Take a look at how professional artists portray the topic you’re studying
It helps you to develop shorthands and your own style
Pull up references and try to imitate to the best of your ability
Can also draw over the reference pics to understand the shape language and flow (but don’t simply trace the drawing)
Also try to notice shapes made by the negative space
Basically don’t mindlessly copy, this is “active copying”
● Nathan’s:
Day 5: Draw from imagination again
Put together what you learned throughout the week
Compare with day 1 (hopefully, you will notice improvements)
Changes will be incremental, don’t be discouraged!
Jacob’s example: 10 minutes of free drawing:
● Nathan’s:
I hope this was helpful. Good luck with your art practice!
Coming Out...
Ok, I open up about something..... Here we go! I've been diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum) + ADHD since my childhood. In the other words, I'm neurodivergent.
For those who don't know what they are, I'll give you a summary:
■ Symptoms of ASD:
▪Regular difficulties in social interaction or communication
▪Repetitive movements (stimming)
▪Resistance to change or restricted interests.
▪Sensitivity to certain taste, smell, or sound (sensory overload)
▪Poor eye contact
■ Symptoms of ADHD:
▪ Shory attention span
▪ Hyperactivity
▪ Carelessness
▪ Executive dysfunctions
▪ Impulsivity
▪ Forgetfulness
▪ Fidgeting or restlessness
▪ Emotional dysregulation
These are usually the ones I carry most in my day to day. I know being neurodivergent can be a double-edged sword at times, and I honestly view my conditions as either my struggle or superpower. It may even last me my whole life but I don't take medication to treat my ADHD. I still appreciate the people who are to listen to me, because even though I have struggles. I know my friends will be there for me, and I appreciate that a lot! ^_^
