I'm surprised it didn't come up sooner/more often in my search, given that it's exactly what I have been looking for. The whole game is available for free on the Tompkins Games website, but the thing that really interested me about the system is the bizarre action roll:
And rather than trying to beat a specific DC, you take the d6 (the "action die") result, add your relevant modifiers, and then compare that total to the two d10's (the "challenge dice").
If the action die+mods exceeds the result on both challenge dice, it's a strong success.
If the action die+mods exceeds one of the challenge dice but not the other, it's a weak success
if the action die+mods fails to exceed either challenge die, it's a miss
and it's easy to see the echoes of the 2d6 solution that PbtA offers, in fact the developers credit Dungeon World as an inspiration in the credits.
Ultimately I just love how elegant but needlessly complex it is.
