There’s gonna be a new Zelda, you guys!
"it seems so legit" - "It’s stated early on that Link left, and has been gone for years." - "Victor is the first Zelda Protagonist to speak." - "One such place is a village in ruin that ***Link*** can help rebuild..." | Doesn't sound like a reliable source or legitimate at all.
sometimes the internet gets me and i stop thinking correctly :v thank you! for that xd
So i was checking Zelda U news and this came in, it seems so legit.... you must read it
It isn't Link or Zelda, it's Link's son. His name is not yet decided, but he has been nicknamed "Victor" for the time being. He's the son of OOT/MM Link and Malon, this is shown early on as he lives at the ranch with his mother. He's very arrogant andbitter, and doesn't know how to use a sword properly, hence the bow. It's stated early on that Link left, and has been gone for years. Victor is bitter, and angry about his father's disappearance, as well as him not teaching him how to use a sword. Victor is the first Zelda Protagonist to speak. He is the opposite of Link in every way. He's cocky, arrogant and often demands compensation for helping people. He gets teased in the game a lot due to his androgynous look, and often under-estimated.He is compared several times to Link in the game, which sets him off.His main form of fighting is his bow, which is also capable of Melee early in the game when a blade is attached to it. Although sometime later in game (continued)..... Victor will lean to swordfight from this game's version of Impa. The game takes a lot of inspiration from OOT and MM obviously, making many OOT references and small nods to MM. Victor can change his clothing throughout the game, if you notice he has on Gerudo gauntlets. This is because some time in the game he is tasked with taking down a high ranking gerudo warrior. Upon her defeat, he gains the ability to buy gerudo clothing pieces once he gains their respect. The cloth he is shown wearing in the trailer isn't even his default. It's a tunic obtainable after earning the respect of the Zora. One of the nods to MM includes being able to completely dress up as Kafei from MM, though it is never actually specified as "his clothing". (continued)One of the new things in this Zelda is the vast, and living open world. Unlike in previous Zelda's where the world was split off into segments, this one offers much more. There are areas not relavant to the main quest that are up to the player to explore. One such place is a village in ruin that Link can help rebuild, to create a source of Rupees for him to collect. Money is much more important as well, as you can use it to upgrade the Ranch to get things like more bottles, better arrow quivers, and better bomb bags, to new clothing pieces. It is also used to upgrade weapons and shields ala Skyward sword, though you will still need the materials as well. Enemies will drop them as well as them being collectable like before, via nets and fishing rods. You can also mine rocks/ore from caves, and harvest certain plants from villages. Some supplies can only be bought at Hyrule port, as they have to be imported from other lands. (continued)This is also one of the few times in the series where the neighboring regions to Hyrule will be mentioned. One such place is a currently unnamed tropical country who's king has an audience with Zelda early on. They currently do not play a huge role in the story other than mentions though.Victor's partner in this game is going to be Epona, and just Epona. Although she cannot talk, she is very expressive, and has much body language. The "help" narrative will come from Victor himself, often examining his surroundings and making sarcastic/quirky comments.
