So I've been going to my local Unitarian Universalist church for the past few months, and wanted to share the song that we sing pretty much every service. It's just really resonated with me, and I really appreciate how my UU church does indeed practice religious pluralism, and is mindful of the language used in songs and the sermons (i.e., there are no specific mentions of "God," but instead spirit of life or something similar). ANYWAY, below is an image so you can see the melody, but I'll also type out the lyrics.
Spirit of Life - words and music by Carolyn McDade
Spirit of Life, come unto me.
Sing in my heart all the stirrings of compassion.
Blow in the wind, rise in the sea;
move in the hand, giving life the shape of justice.
Roots hold me close;
wings set me free;
Spirit of Life, come to me, come to me.
