Yuya did want to have something others didn’t have at first, pendulum summoning was something never seen before and liked having something special that no one else had and was actually upset when pendulum summoning was copied by others. Yumas philosophy is never giving up and seeing the best in others.

Also little thing that might be irrelevant but I’ll bring it up anyway, but what about Zexal (the form not the anime) compared to Zarc? Comparing Astral and Yuma willing bond and ability to become one and seporate back into two at will and comparing it to Zarc and how most of Zarc fragments didn’t want to reunite at first.
