My biggest piece I have ever done.
Contemplating
creating characters who are terrible people and examining how they benefit from being terrible and why they act the way they do is way more cathartic than a fantasy world that completely blocks off the option to make immoral / bad choices
you ever see how people talk about a controversial character and it becomes glaringly obvious that they believe some kids are just born inherently evil
i love playing this game where i like a fictional guy and then i go into his tag and disagree with every single post there
there’s a phenomenon when it comes to enjoying a male character in a piece of media where it’s so much fun and i love my blorbo and i want to talk about my blorbo and read analysis of my blorbo but i realize very fast and very hard that the majority of fans made up a version of him that appeals to their horniness and it’s become the popular and standard interpretation and i do not care for that guy at all like i’d beat him with hammers actually
ppl should plagiarize their fanon interpretation of characters and just make an oc out of that honestly. sometimes it is removed enough from the text anyway it is ur own thing im ngl. im not even saying this to be an asshole or as an insult i just straight up believe this
a character being a perpetrator does not negate their victimhood and neither does their victimhood negate being a perpetrator. it is not that difficult to accept and reckon w both dimensions
