She loved to watch the stars when they twinkled above her, and she loved the evenings around the campfire, listening to the Elves sharing stories of their carefree youth.

Well, someone fell asleep during story time.

The ring of fire keeps overly curious elves and Valar away - and is an excellent way to grill vegetables.

And yes, this is Gil-galad standing in the far off distance, probably about to sunbathe yet again.

Another (updated) family tree backwards from Elnaur.

This time, I included the linage of Aragorn/Elessar and Gilraen back to Elros.

As a side note, did you know that Arnor was once split into the three kingdoms Arthedain, Cardolan and Rhudaur because the sons of Eärendur got in a row?

I guess, now I finally know the background to the LOTR Online Quest "Treasures of Cardolan”

I tried drawing the new family tree of A Wrong Turn (adoptions included). It was…messy, even though I reduced it to Finwë‘s line and left out most spouses.

Meanwhile, Fëanor had managed to reunite his scattered band of disorderly elves by simply standing in the middle of the path, emitting a dazzling light.

Given that Fëanor's sons knew the paternal glow by now - after all, no one glowed as brilliantly as their father - they had found him without problems.

It helped that it was completely dark outside, so their father's brilliance remained undiminished.

Well, it’s not a forest he’s standing in, but this way it’s more dramatic.

Ereinion Gil-galad, last High King of the Noldo, stood somewhere in a gloomy forest in Middle-earth, clad in nothing but a bath towel.

Along with his spear, Aiglos. Which he always carried with him.  For some unknown reason, even when sunbathing.

Cut Scene  - Of Glaring Gates

The first version of the emergency meeting from Of Glaring Gates. I took it out because I wanted Elrond’s awesomeness in.

Maitimo watched his father walking up and down in agitation, muttering angrily about half-brothers and their insolent offspring.

The twins sat next to him, munching themselves happily through a bowl of fruit and managing to look attentive at the same time.

Carnistir, Tyelkormo and Curufinwë were sprawled out on the floor, their faces scrunched in concentration as they tried to build a straight tower out of Carnistir's knife collection. Maglor alternated between keeping the twins from overeating and redirecting his father's pacing away from the three elven architects.

"My sons!" Fëanor stopped so abruptly that he startled his tower-building sons.

Their already rather loop-sided, chair-high formation wobbled and collapsed. Looking rather disappointed, they turned their attention to their father.

The elf held up a small vial filled with some kind of liquid, a dangerous smile playing around his lips. "We are going to show this child just how inferior his precious gate is!"

Seven elves broke into an identical, ominous smile.

"Is there a reason you are attacking us so viciously?" Tyelkormo inquired as a napkin flew at him.

"A reason?! You ratted me out!" Elnaur attempted to lunge over the table, only to get dragged back by a passing Maitimo, who looked like he was entirely too used to dealing with people leaping over random pieces of furniture to assault each other.

When all three combatants were finally separated from each other by at least one of his other sons, Fëanor crossed his arms and looked between the three pouting faces. "Well?"
