the clan with the most impressive survival rate. thanks to their late healer's determination to slow the disease, many infected cats' deaths were able to be postponed, their symptoms lessened, and their last hours made more comfortable. however, they were not without loss completely. riverclan lost many kits and apprentices who were more susceptible to the disease and could not weather the symptoms quite as well, and the clan also lost their leader of several moons and the healer that had been working so hard to protect them.
with the disease having passed, riverclan is determined to restore itself to its former glory. they maintain a great deal of respect for their passed, and vow to always honor them going forward. their relationship with starclan is rather strained, especially after their healer was taken from them, but many still find comfort in the stars and the idea of those who passed waiting for them up above.
riverclan's camp is situated on the southwestern side of the lake, on a triangular patch of land situated between two streams that feed into the lake. their diet consists primarily of fish and other aquatic prey, but they will occasionally also eat small mammals like water voles, shrews, and mice. much of their clan is made up of cats with sleek coats and muscular bodies, perfect for swimming.
shadowclan happily boasts the second highest survival rate, though many speculate that it was just due to sheer luck that so many of their clan members lived. most of the cats who passed in shadowclan were elders and kits, though they did lose a good deal of warriors as well. when skyclan and windclan merged, shadowclan readily accepted the additional chunk of territory from skyclan.
shadowclan is less of an open book compared to riverclan as they move forward. they keep to themselves, even at gatherings, yet are happy to use the advice lent to them by riverclan when it comes to facing throat-rot. belief in starclan within the clan is quite varied, though many are impartial and agree indifferently that they are surely important in some nuanced way.
shadowclan's camp is found deep within the coniferous forests of the northwestern stretch of land. their camp is found in a deep, branch-covered hollow, surrounded by thick trees and bramble thickets. their diet is one of the most varied and consists of reptiles, small mammals, and birds. much of their clan is made up of cats with dark and thick coats, perfect for blending in the shadows and squeezing past bramble undergrowth.
formed by the union of windclan and skyclan, breezeclan is made up of straggling survivors from both clans. they decided to band together after heavy losses in both clans, figuring they would be much stronger when working together. since thunderclan had disbanded and was out of the picture as well, this merger left the two clans with an excess of territory. as such, they offered up some of skyclan's old territory to shadowclan.
breezeclan is arguably one of the friendliest clans, though some attribute it to their reluctance to risk any conflicts after suffering so much already. they are heavily reliant on starclan and pray to them often, feeling as if it was due to their mercy that they had any survivors left after the disease shook both of their clans.
breezeclan's camp, formerly thunderclan's, is found in the northeastern forests by the lake. their camp is within an abandoned quarry, composed of tall rock walls and cliffs. this camp provides them shelter from the wind and storms, but also floods during especially strong storms. their diet consists of small mammals and birds. their clan is incredibly varied in appearance, due to it being composed of both windclan and skyclan cats.
