I know the majority of us aren’t really fans of wattpad as a platform, but screenshotting a wattpad fic to post and mock an author is still an asshole behavior btw.

if it’s an asshole move when it’s done to an ao3 fic, it’s as much of an asshole move when it’s done to a wattpad fic or a fic from any platform.

like. I feel like mocking fics are so normalized on platforms like twitter and tiktok where algorithms and “going viral” are so important to so many users there for whatever reasons. but fanfic writers aren’t writing to please your personal liking or preferences. you read their works for free. if you don’t like what you’re reading, quietly click away from the fic. or one day writers will just stop sharing their works because entitled people can’t be decent and respectful to artists.

Absolutely, Poe would drink coffee! I've always had him drink the Star Wars version of coffee, Caf, so you know he would drink it. I can't say for certain that he's a caffeine addict, but I do know he is fairly dependent on it to keep him alert and focused. As a pilot, he needs to be on his game every time he sits in the cockpit, whether he's flying an X-Wing in space or an F-16 here on Earth. He can drink it black, but he prefers a touch of cream.

As for energy drinks, I don't think he touches those. While he takes advantage of caffeine to keep him sharp, he knows that too much can make him hyper-sensitive and he can loose focus easier, not to mention it's not super healthy for the heart. He gets enough adrenaline doing his job, he doesn't need his heart racing any longer than necessary!

Can we start acknowledging the sexism in fanfiction. When I search for x reader fanfiction, I don't want to be the bimbo, slut, stay at home mom, I want to be the firefighter, the superhero, the doctor, the ceo, the police officer, the construction worker, and there is nothing wrong with that. I want to read about myself as a capable woman. Its not "Mary Jane" or "overpowered" to just be capable, intelligent, and strong. I understand the appeal to being the damsel of the story, but for once when I search "x firefighter!reader" I don't want to read one hundred fics about my back being blown out by a muscular man, i want to be running into the burning building. And yes I understand that people can write whatever they wish, but we need to also understand that this type of narrative of being the damsel, never the hero, can be harmful to young women discovering fanfiction.

And if you can't understand that or don't like it, you're the problem.
