Normal runs do feel good if you’re in shape. But a hard workout or a fast run, that will always hurt. I used to think that at one point a switch would flip, and I’d feel smooth and great on everything. Feel how Dibaba looks… effortless. I learned that if I was feeling that way in workouts, it probably meant I wasn’t trying hard enough. Improvement comes when it hurts. I’ve learned to chase after that feeling. Even if it can be a bit scary in the moment.
Kate Grace in a 2016 interview with pigeonposeandrunning.com (via carolyn-lives) this is one of the most comforting things i’ve ever read. (via angel-likes-running)
WHAT AND WHO IS THIS??
AND WHY IS THIS THE BEST THINH IVE EVER SEEN??
This is great????
I think the biggest lesson I’ve learned in my college years is to believe. Believe in yourself, even when no one else does. The first time I ran a 5:45 mile, I was a junior in high school. Four years later, I comfortably opened up my 10K at that pace. No one thought I would be good. I am not talented. But I knew I had it within me if I would just work hard enough. And I’m not finished. Don’t wait for your coaches, parents, professors, or anyone to tell you “you can.” It may seem superhuman or impossible to them at times, but trust yourself. Dream big. But most importantly BELIEVE.

I want running to be something I do forever
Always building those aerobic engines!
#Run
shoutout to people with simultaneously great and terrible memories. like oh yeah i remember in perfect detail that random story you told about the banana costume from a year ago but all of novemeber? completely blank.
Three 1500s in a week! Tired but getting stronger.
we ran the same leg of this relay!!
I've started running again recently. Just small runs, mile or half mile. I'm definitely out of shape especially because of everything that's happened recently with being hospitalized for my mental health. They've been slow miles but they've still been miles.
Update
Hey so I haven’t been doing the best as far as eating and adjusting to being back at school so running has been put on the back burner. I’m hoping that by next semester I’ll be in a better place and will be able to start running again.

my fave thing I’ve seen lately
Running art on a rainy Saturday 💗
omg I love
this is so awesome !!!
Today I ran for the first time in over 7 months. My plan was to do a mile at a 10 min/mile pace. I was only able to get in .8 miles, but I’m just happy to be running again :D
I love this gif, it’s my favourite of all I’ve ever made. You can tell he can’t believe it’s happened, that he’s won the Stanley Cup and that his dream came true. He’s trying to take it all in. I love moments like this, you don’t see them often and it’s beautiful when you do.
