Impossible Year

This song is very appropriate for it to be the ending track on the album, because the theme of this song is literally darkness and finality.  While this song is quite possibly the saddest ballad that Panic! At The Disco has ever written, it’s easy to fall in love with. It’s unique in its’ own way, because a song like this one that hasn’t been made in a while, and it’s nice to know an artist like Brendon has a deep appreciation for Frank Sinatra.

House of Memories

In this song, Brendon makes it clear that a relationship he had was built on loving memories, but something has happened, so the memories have turned dark and he sometimes feels haunted by them. It’s one of my personal favorites, mainly because the music sounds mysterious and kind of dark, and Brendon yet again shows his vast vocal range, especially in the bridge of this song.

The Good, The Bad, and The Dirty

In this wild song, Brendon is singing, as his past self, to one of his ex’s and wants to get back together with her, but not in the usual, loving way. The music for this track are energetic and wild, and it flows greatly with Brendon’s vocals. The song suggests that we need to break the status quo and go for something more.

Golden Days

This is kind of a nostalgic song for Brendon, and it can be for anyone. He sings about how the past begins to fade, and he is no longer in that golden age, he isn’t living the ‘golden days’, but he will always remember them.

LA Devotee 

This song is basically a love letter than Brendon has wrote to LA. The prominent horns and the fast paced music allows it to mix nicely with Brendon’s effortless vocals. It’s the kind of song that makes you want to tap along with the beat, it’s seriously that catchy of a tune, and is personally one of my favorites from the album.

Crazy = Genius

This song’s title definitely matches the sound of it because of the lyrics. The song is very fast paced and upbeat, and has strong horns in the music, which allows us to think that this song could be played in a 40’s styled jazz bar.

Death of A Bachelor

In this sweet love song, Brendon sings about his past self being a sophisticated bachelor, but comes along a woman, now his wife, who ties him down. His bachelor self can no longer live because Brendon, as sung in the song, is granted ‘a lifetime of laughter at the expense of the death of a bachelor.

Emperor’s New Clothes

This song’s sound is original and fresh, in which the bass and prominent drum rhythm mix well together to give us a unique fast paced song. In ‘Emperor’s New Clothes’, Brendon gives himself the chance to show off his vocal range that only a few male artists are gifted with, and he pulls it off flawlessly in this song.

Hallelujah

This song’s message that it’s better to accept what you’ve done in the past and come to terms that you’re a sinner, instead trying to be the embodiment of perfection. ‘Hallelujah’ is basically Brendon’s confession of what he’s done in the past and has now come to terms with it, even if he sometimes wants to be that past self again.

Don’t Threaten Me With A Good Time

It’s definitely the perfect party song that describes just some of Brendon’s wild encounters. With the opening of the song being a sample used from Rock Lobster’s guitar riff, it’s sure to grab people’s attention.

Victorious

This song is the perfect one to open up an album. it’s the type of song that has you singing your hearts out with your friends in the car.  ‘Victorious’ is a very uplifting song for those that need something to get their adrenaline going.
