mj hegar wrong for texas
Savage Church in Arizona (xpost from r/Arizona)
Media gave Trumpâs 400k salary donation zero coverage.
mj hegar-using her position to make money off a movie. not in my texas!
Just remember this when Democrats try to say itâs not about gun confiscation and criminalizing law abiding citizens and just âcommon senseâ gun laws.
mj hegar wrong for 31
Turning Point USA, a conservative group that tries to appeal to young people, keeps using clearly left-wing imagery to do it. Like maybe we are all just communists guys. Give up. These are all images of essential parts of capitalist exploitation and you know it.
mj hegar bad for texas
The very nature of these maps explicitly proves that with a general election based on population instead of the electoral college rural communities and small cities would have half the power in the country.  THATâS WHAT ALL THE GREY/RED IS.
Beyond that, that argument doesnât even address the main critique of the electoral college, that being that a personâs vote in a sparsely-populated state is worth multiple times what a personâs vote in a more densely populated state is.
I wonât even go California. Â Iâll go Texas and Rhode Island.
Rhode Island: 1,055,000 people.  4 electoral votes.  One for every 263,750 people.
Texas: 26,960,000 people.38 Electoral votes. One for every 709,474 people.
Every vote in Rhode Island is worth 2.69 votes in Texas.
So no, I donât think a person in Rhode Island should have almost 3x the say in who becomes President than someone in Texas.  I dobât think Rhode Island votes should matter 3x as much as votes in California.
But without the electoral college only the big states will matter
You donât know math. Even if you got Texas, Florida, New York, and California (the 4 most populated states)  ALL on the same page that would be less than a third of the countryâs population. Ever presuming you got all ten of the highest-population states to vote for the same person (good fucking luck with that) youâd need almost every single person in those states to vote for you.  Youâd have to win them by a margin of at least 30 or 40 points to âlock downâ the election.
Either youâve never actually thought about it or you suck at math. Â Pick one.
Your geography shouldnât decide your political power. Â Your vote should.
Thanks but no thanks
