Blessed Aphrodite,

Goddess of Love, born of seafoam and starlight,

You ever think that maybe God isn’t listening to you because he knows you’re not his and you were instead claimed by some other deity? Imagine praying to God like “please I need your help” and he’s just frantically trying to tell you “I’m sorry but I literally cannot help you even if I wanted to. Please contact Artemis if you need any help.” And Artemis is just like “I sent them five deer today! How can they not know??” And here you are still stuck in the hands of a religion that cannot help you.

I sometimes am truly mystified by how protected I feel by the Gods. Everything that happens in my life feels gentler in the arms of faith. I trust the Gods, and I trust that for every bad thing that happens they will be with me. Whether they clean up a mess, help me move on, or grieve alongside me I never feel so vulnerable that I am without their protection.
