“if you’re too busy, it’s okay… i won’t be upset,” goeun insisted softly, hugging her script to her chest. “i just need to have this script memorized for my eval tomorrow and thought it would be easier if someone ran lines with me but… i can ask my sister. maybe she’s free…”
“i got you, goeun. we’ll get you a great eval grade,” junghoon encouraged, clapping her on the shoulder. “what’s the tone?”

“yo, seriously though? i love being big with kids. i know some people take themselves real seriously and hate being a kids commodity but….. it’s cool being someone kids look up to, man.”
“i agree,” he said with a nod. “we’re the entry drug. we’re getting them into the product, and it’s cuz of us that they’re going to be lifelong fans. it’s an important role.”
rvhimari:
“it’s very exciting that you two are being invited on variety,” she commented. “definitely not something a regular wrestler would look to, but it’s been so effective.” she smiled. “i’ve been well. creatively fulfilled for the first time in my life. it’s incredible. how about you– not too over worked doing the idol circuit?”
“honestly, i thought it’d be weird, but it totally suits us. and it’s good for the show. i’m really hyped up about it,” he admitted. he and lance were handsome enough for the idol fans, and goofy enough for the variety format. “no-- its really fun! and we’ve come up with so many stupid ideas for gimmicks too. it’s lookin up.”

“someone’s gotta do it. and i’ve heard that they guys they got to do it are pretty sexy.”
“mad sexy. also huge merch sellers and fan favorites among the kids, so....things have been worse,” he laughed

“sad, really. so few people get to know your real charms.”
“i’ve been told i’m a real gem,” he snorted. “how have you been, himari? i’ve barely seen you lately. mpwa has lance and i doing so many variety slots, it’s like i never see the ring anymore.”
“there’s nothing more frustrating than knowing the name of something, but having to call it something stupid,” meilin sighed dramatically, adjusting her ponytail. “like doing a back extension roll with an extra kick to take out someone’s legs, but having it be called something ridiculous like the equalizer? i think it’s going to be the death of me.”
“i mean, i woulda just called it a slew foot or something. but that fancy stuff sounds cool too,” junghoon laughed
“If I have another fan ask me to show my collarbones on camera one more time, i swear i’m gonna cut the Vlive off immediately, next time.” He says with a disgruntled huff. He understood that fanservice was big thing with idols but he hadn’t expected it when it came to the bands. He wanted to be recognized for his music, not just the fact that he had a good body. “Like someone get thee girls outside to touch some grass….”
“i’m surprised that those comments aren’t monitored. like even kids on twitch at least have mods to delete stuff like that. and you’re a big idol-- liberty really needs to get their shit together.”

“oh, i’m sure,” himari snorted. “you’re terrifying. if i didn’t know you personally i’d probably never want to be near you.”
“yeah, i get that a lot,” junghoon retorted. “maybe for other reasons, though. who’s to know.”

“i think having us come up right next to it makes the retribution stuff all the more impactful, if you ask me. them coming after something funny really settles home how serious they are.”
“or having them beat the shit out of us as an easy first competitor on the tag team ladder-- we totally have our place.”
“have you ever had blue light glasses? are they worth the fuss?” dongwoo mused aloud, rubbing the back of his neck. “my literal career is being on a computer, but the eye strain is fucking ridiculous. if it makes a difference, maybe i’ll cop a pair.”
“i wear them sometimes, but i’m not using screens nearly enough to be able to tell you one way or another-- maybe you’ll have to be the one to test it out and tell everyone else if they work.”

“i’ve said it from day one, but we’re the heart and soul. the comedy geniuses. the entertainment. the halftime show. they need us to break up the pacing, obviously.”
“i mean, real talk, that’s literally what we do, isn’t it? we fuck around and lighten the mood. not everything can be retribution doom and gloom.”
“come on, now, i won’t bite,” himari said, biting back a smile as she saw the person hesitating to sit next to her. “i only play a violent psychopath on television. i promise you, i’m very nice out of the ring.”
“yeah, i have to tell people that all the time,” junghoon replied once the other person had left, feigning being serious. “i’m so tough and intimidating in the product that i really do just have to remind people sometimes that i’m a chill guy.”
“okay– new idea. for a bunch of vingettes in december, we just are walking around backstage singing christmas carols wrong and annoying people and we get beat up for it. or something. i dunno, i havent fleshed it out yet, but trust me, it’s money.”
“no, you’re right, that could be really fun,” junghoon agreed enthusiastically. “mpwa needs to work on their vingette game anyway-- who better to do it than us?”
