“i can’t show off my legs either, i’m with you on the warmer weather.” he might have slightly been teasing, sarcasm vast in his voice. “just kidding, i love to become an idol popsicle. it’s a goal i never knew i needed until it happened.”

She had to bite back a laugh, and do her best to make sure her face remained a mask. Donny, Jaeho and now Sunmin. All her boys seemed to be plagued by girls. But, as someone who valued her relationships with all of them and their trust, she wasn’t going to reveal that, so that meant not laughing, and thank god she had stellar self control. “Okay, well first of all, I’m not sure what abs have to do with anything. If it’s something that genuinely you want, I’m sure spending a week at the gym with Adonis would get you on the right track, but hear it from me first– I’m not about to body shame any of my idols into looking any kind of way. You look just as hot as any of the other guys, and having visible abdominal muscles has nothing to do with it. And this girl– I’m sure she doesn’t mind either.”

“With that out of the way, though…..Is it a fear of rejection, do you think? It’s easy to express feelings about someone when it’s literally anyone else, because they aren’t the one who could say no.”

Sunmin couldn’t deny that made his confidence feel a little better, at least in the abs department. “but what if she does mind?” He was mostly looking for reasons to self-distract right now.

She had brought up something he hadn’t thought much about before. The rejection part. Especially when it would come to someone so close to his heart. He started thinking that couldn’t be the reason, surely he would have noticed before it was. That’s when he realized she had figured out the reason all to quick. “I..I don’t think I want to lose what we have. Not in the ‘I’m afraid to go further part’ and more in the ‘I don’t want her to be uncomfortable with me’ part and if she doesn’t like me the way I like her then there is no way it wouldn’t get uncomfortable at some level. And that--,” He paused, running his fingers through his hair. “That would hurt. Not being as close to her as I was, even if she didn’t like me back. So, I guess it is fear of that. I don’t know how to fix that or if there even is a fix.”

“soft isn’t all bad. i might be biased, but i don’t think you’re a bad guy. going out of your way to not give him any reasons is probably a good idea. you can’t be in helix if you’re dead.”

her eyes widened and she ran to his side, quickly grabbing an arm and holding him steady. “why didn’t you knock on the front door? you could get really hurt this way!” she fretted, deathgrip on his arm

he tumbled in side with her head. popping back up and dusting himself off. slightly pouting. “cause i’m dumb and make dumb decisions. i do kind of like that you’re touching me though, so maybe i’m not so dumb after all.”

“I dunno, cons of being the one who apparently needs it the most,” Noah laughed. “Wei would probably be the prettiest, I’d say Austin but he’d just look like his normal self but in a wig.”

“Now that you bring all that, I’m switching my vote to Austin,” Sunmin laughed along with him. “I’m a little hurt though bro, do you not think I’d make a pretty girl?”

He rolls out of bed and looks around for a shirt and some sweatpants. “I’m up, I’m up. Like I said. Am I going to get observed in the shower too?”

“i think we are having a reversal of our conversation. when did we both get like this? were you taking those stats in case he tries to beat your ass?”

With one leg hanging out of the open window while the other was inside of the room, he was holding himself up for dear life. “If you could help pull me in that’d be great,” He hadn’t fully thought through his plan to be funny and climb through Ahra’s window to pick her up. “I was graced with several things and absolute balance wasn’t one of them.” @rvcirce

Ryukji sighed, closing her office door behind her, and turning to her companion. She loved all of Alpha– they were her family– but she had a special connection with the Helix and TNT members. Maybe it was because they were messes and she needed to help keep them in line, or maybe it was just because she had a daughter and the thirteen of them were her hopeless sons. Either way, they were her boys.

“Sit,” she said, taking her own seat at her desk and resting her chin in her hands. “I don’t want any bullshit– I know when you’re lying. You seem distracted lately– what’s wrong?”

Sunmin did as she commanded and took a seat. Taken off guard at her question, he started to think through what gave away how distracted he was. Here he was thinking he’d been hiding it well. ‘No bullshit’, okay. “Uh--Honestly? Someone once said that love makes us crazy. In this case distracted. I seem to be fine telling everyone else about it, but telling her about it doesn’t seem to work unless I let it out through song. But, I feel like that could be played off as me just serenading her for fun rather than have some underlying message. That’s what’s been going on. I know I look like I might not be the romantic type, but this shit is keeping me up at night.” He paused. “I feel like a dumbass who can’t just tell a girl how he feels. a dumbass who doesn’t possess abs.”
