One day I wanna be rich enough that I can just like. Give away hundreds of thousands of dollars every year in like scholarships or grants or whatever. That when I see someone make a post like “hey can I get $50 for groceries” I can just donate $1000. Or tip my server their rent money. Like that’s the dream

Or buy a bunch of contracts from a collections agency and pay them off then call the people and be like, ‘yeah no worries.’ Or go to a used car dealership and pay for five or six cars and just be like, “Yeah the next person who comes in and needs a car, this one’s theirs for free.” Or like spend all day on go-fund-me and fill them up. 

Money is wasted on the rich.

Not as big and flashy but there are charities such as RIP Medical Debt. They buy up medical debt at discount debt-collector prices but instead of trying to collect, they just forgive it. Donate $10 and you can wipe out $1,000 of someone’s medical debt. This is the only one I know of, but I believe there are others.

hm ok we can’t live like this anymore so i’m ebegging akdhsjdh hiii i’m sarah i’m an arab and sudanese college student living in a two bedroom apartment with my family. my mother is the only one who works since my younger brother and i go to school full time, but i’m hoping to get a job once this semester is done. she’s a health care worker, working 12 hour shifts 5 days a week.

anyway my mother and younger brother share a bed bc we only have 2 bedrooms and they’ve been sleeping on a fucked up mattress for almost the entire time we’ve been here aka a decade. i also have never had a wardrobe in this apartment bc we couldn’t afford any. my father is abusive and out of the picture financially and refuses to help us with anything.

a lot of ppl are in way worse situations so i am really only asking those who can afford to help out. my main goal is to get my family a mattress, i can make do without the wardrobe and keep putting my clothes on my desk but my mother really can’t sleep on that mattress anymore. if you’re comfortable enough to help out, the mattress i am hoping to get them is $279 at ikea. i can afford to pay the first $100 from my savings but i need all the money i already have for university. so $179 is the goal.
