Hii, i recently just got into your fics after seeing you’re no longer in the marauders fandom anymore so i apologise if you’ve already answered this before.

Do you have any plans on finishing Saltwater & Cigarettes? Or are you DNF’ing that fic?

Unfortunately Saltwater & Cigarettes must rest in peace. It’s one I always saw myself going back to in THEORY but in actuality I put no real plans or thought into the fic. Was kind of just fucking around to be honest. So I don’t see myself picking it back up.

Fun fact: the bar Sirius and Reg go to in the last chapter of Tennessee Baby is a real bar in the city. I usually don’t include real places but I read a fic recently that incorporated real places in an area I knew, and I actually really liked that aspect and being able to find familiarity in it, so I decided fuck it let me give it a try too.

The thing I wish people had told me before persuing a career in healthcare is not about the toxic hierarchy or the way patients are going to treat you. NO, it’s that healthcare has its own fashion and trends. You can walk into work feeling like the baddest bitch in the hospital and then run errands after work feeling like a fool. Especially in the south, u walk out in ur little fleece vest mid summer, and ur not going to see anyone else with a fuck ass vest on or platform clogs 😭

Insane to see that ppl are getting caught using AI to write fics when I’ve been writing fanfic since before generative AI existed (or was available to the public? Idk)

On one hand as a writer it makes me livid to think of the hours of my life I’ve put into writing, on the other hand I’m not sure how to feel about the witch-hunt going on. Only bc I worry about ppl who DONT use AI getting accused or publicly shamed for something they didn’t do. But also, WHY ARE WE CHEATING??

Learn to write, write “bad” fics, make mistakes, write fics you can’t stand to think about now bc they were so poorly written, because you spent those years making work and improving. Write only oneshots or microfics, start a million WIPs and finish none of them. I don’t care what you write as long as YOU wrote it.
