been a while huh?

I been playing a teeeeensy little tiiiiny bit cough cough 128 hours of Flash Party (FTP online only plat fighter gacha slop mobile game /affectionate) for the past couple months so I've been playing around with the models for some of my favorite character skins to get myself back into Blender and try to learn Eevee

I refined my hair curves workflow so I was able to knock out her hairstyle in way less time than with Aqua's :D

FINALLY

started blocking out the clothes for Sweet Ruby after an age and a half

it's almost certainly not gonna be done anytime soon, but the point was more to get down a rough draft that'll both mostly satisfy present me's perfectionism now and later offend future me's sensibilities to the point she'll spend like 30-40 hours over a few days getting it to look as good as is possible at the time, rinse and repeat until (eventually) it doesn't suck

in the business we call this method the "future me's problem" workflow lmao

also look at my lil cutie patootie, I finished her particle hair (besides the bang rigging) and she now has very very very bad facial rigging now!

for some reason blender decided to delete all of the unpacked images in my materials for my Naminé file so I had to fix a bunch of shaders including the hair so I just decided fuck it I'm going fully procedural on it besides a couple easily replaceable normal maps

ngl I'm not the biggest fan of this model, the proportions and design are slightly off in an uncanny way (which makes sense given it's only meant to be glimpsed briefly in a DLC cutscene and never seen again), but it was in the file so I fiddled with it

I swear, I just haven't opened blender in a while lmao. anyway I spent the afternoon reworking my skin shader with new techniques that mimic pores and blemishes which I think is very cool!!!

I also updated Minx a bit bc I haven't touched her model in ages. ngl idk why I never merged her clothes and hair into Naminé's file, they have the same base model lol
