The Nijiku clan are renowned Steel type users and as much as he tried, Zanka was never truly comfortable using the Hell Guard Academy’s training Pokemon. He wasn’t to even sure he was meant to become a trainer, he was struggling so much. That is until he accidentally grabbed a grass Pokémon’s ball instead of steel while doing some late night train and found a deep love for the typing.

Reasons I think Zanka would be a gas’s type trainer: easy lovely assistant is wood and grass is weak to poison (jabber).

Janka Baseball au

Jabber Wong and Zanka Nijiku were high school baseball rivals. Legends in the making.

Jabber with the fastest arm in their league met its match in Zanka’s precision batting. But after Zanka’s unexpected shoulder injury in their senior year (rumor has it, the injury involved his father) and the teen’s complete withdrawal from high school and society, left Jabber fumbling to find even an ounce of enjoyment in the sport that was supposed to be their shared future

3 years later Zanka finds himself meeting Jabber agains when he’s asked by his adopted fathers to pickup Rudo from his little league training. He wants another more than to ignore the history they share while Jabber is convinced that Zanka still has that fire that drew him in. Jabber just has to convince Zanka that his injuries don’t define him.
