Today Canadians, college students, and dads who donāt know how to cook celebrate the wondrous, loud, and frost covered wonderland called the FROZEN FOOD AISLE. For those busy days, quick snack, or still havenāt mastered the difference between delivery and...well Iām not getting paid to say the rest of that line. Frozen foods were actually started by US President Ronald Reagan in 1984. He realized that slowly freezing foods did not taste as good when they were thawed and cooked. So the flash freezing process held in some of the flavor. Thatās how we have these cold majestic aisles now.
Today we also celebrate WHITE CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE DAY. As delicious as that may sound (and comes on the perfect day), who really needs a day to eat cheesecake. I am more than happy to eat it any day of the year...for breakfast, at 2 a.m., so not really breakfast...like a midnight snack...I need help.

R.I.P Joey Feek
Sadly Joey Feek, wife and part of the country duo Joey+Rory, died in her home in Indiana. She had been battling Cancer for the last two years.Ā
She leaves behind her husband Rory and beautiful daughter. Although she was diagnosed two years ago, the couple still made music and recorded songs. Joey was lead vocals while her husband Rory providing back up harmonies.
"Though this is, and has been, a time of many tears of sorrow, it has also been a time of countless tears of joy. There have been too many beautiful moments to count or even begin to share in this blog. But I try. When a person has been through as much pain and struggle as Joey's been through, you just want it to be over. You want them to not have to hurt anymore, more that you want them to stay with you. And so, it makes the hard job of saying goodbye just a little easier."
What makes this hurt the most is they are nominated for Duo of the Year this year at the 51st ACM awards.

Luke Bryan Makes His Extra Day Count
What did you do with the extra 24 hours you got this year? Did you take the day off, meet up with family, or did you sleep in say no to work and binge watched Fuller House (Not speaking from experience)? Well country megastar Luke Bryan decided to pay it forward with a new campaign called #DayItForward. It was started by Chevy to encourage people to use these bonus hours to do something nice for someone.
With his extra hours, Bryan decided to be a firefighter for a day at a station in Franklin, Tennessee.Ā
He kicked the dust up at the station by bringing food for the station, hung around, chatted with the firefighters, signed some cds, and gave props to a guy who recently saved a life. The folks at the station really loved him.
Luke even tried on the gear. The workers at the station took some shots at him because he had a few issues piecing together the suit. He needed a bit of help getting it on, but dang Luke pulls it off. Looks like a picture out of one of those sexy firefighter calendars.Ā

But...But...But Why?!
We Here in Ontario we are so excited for the many country music festivals we are getting this year. Yet again the return of the Boots And Hearts festival, Rock the Park in London, many acts at the Molson Amphitheater, and the CNE always has amazing country acts. BUT our American friends south of the border are becoming more and more disappointed with many country music festivals being canceled. FarmBorough in New York was cancelled even though itās debut festival last year brought in 40,000+ fans. Also Big Barrel Country Music Festival in Delaware was cancelled in January. Apparently all tickets will me refunded.Ā
The most recent cancellation comes from Dega Jam at the Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama on the July 4th weekend.
There has been no explanation as to why these festivals have been canceled because they have sold many tickets. The fans are pretty disappointed...
Will this spill over into Nashville? My goodness I hope not.
Thomas Rhett Stage Dive
Looks like Thomas Rhett took some lessons from Luke Bryan when took a tumble last Friday. During a show part of Jason Aldean's "We Were Here" tour, Thomas reached out to shake some fans hands. Unfortunately he lost his balance and fell into the crowd. Best part was he didn't miss a beat when he was singing "South Side". He's ok... He even tweeted a pic when he was getting medical attention after the show.

Where is he going to find a bush big enough for that? This is Chris Bishop, I guess you can call him a dirty pruner. He spent many hours pruning and sculpting this huge (Iāve seen bigger) 25 year old Cypress tree. This 18ft phallic stands in the front of Chrisās yard for ALL to see.

Today we celebrate a day in which all women wish and hope for. When the ball dropped on January 1st, many women (some men) decided on theĀ āNew Year New Meā. They have been so good on their diets and workout programs suffering from LWD (Lack of Wine Disorder). This condition usually occurs early on in the year. The only way to combat this disorder is today. Itās DRINK WINE DAY!!!! They say a glass of wine a day keeps the cardiologist away, but Iām sure thatās exactly why we drink it pfffttt.Ā
Just be careful with it, wine is considered an aphrodisiac, especially red wine. Iām sure thatās because everyone looks better with every glass. Anyways CHEERS!
Nike Knockouts Contract with Pacquiao
Ā After a derogatory anti-gay comment in an interview, Nike cuts ties with Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao. The boxer said in an interview on a Filipino TV stationĀ "Have you seen any animal having male-to-male or female-to-female relations? If you have male-to-male or female-to-female [relationships], then people are worse than animals."
Later on he had apologized for what he said in a tweetĀ "I'm sorry for hurting people by comparing homosexuals to animals, Please forgive me for those I hurt. God bless!"
The only endorsement Pacquiao can hope for now is Little Debbie snack cakes
February 17, 2016 Random Act of Kindness Day
Today we celebrate Random Act of Kindness Day. The day where any random act of kindness is the way to celebrate. Holding the door doesnāt really count thatās too easy and too common. I mean buying a stranger a coffee (but not a Venti triple shot extra whip latte. I have a budget). Get creative and find small ways to make some smile. Who knows, maybe they will pay it forward.
I think my random act of kindness today will be to not yell at the person in front of me at the stop light not moving AFTER IT HAS TURNED GREEN LIKE 30 SECONDS AGO!!!
