FAQās for the impending Star Trek Trick-or-Treat BINGO writing/art event:
This is a BINGO writing/art event where you receive a card with a 4x4 grid on it, filled with various prompts in which you can create some form of art for. As you complete the prompts we will virtually stamp your card, with the goal of getting bingo or filling in all the squares!
There are lots of different ways to fill a square! You canā¦
Write something! (Note: there is no minimum or maximum word count, so you have your choice between writing a long fic, a short fic, a drabble, a poem, etc.)
Mood boards, gif sets, rec lists, podfics, playlists, crafts, baked goods, edits, fanvids are all valid as long as the submission is inspired and related to the prompt!
This bingo card looks a little different. Why are there two prompts on each square?
This is the Trick-Or-Treat aspect of our Halloween bingo! You get to choose which prompt you want to fill in order to get your square stampedāwhether that be trick or treat! Note: You DO NOT need to complete both prompts in order to get your square stamped, just one or the other.
What if I want to create something for both prompts on one square?
You would still only get one stamp for that square. But good on you!
Can I fill multiple squares at once if a submission incorporates multiple prompts?
Yes! A single submission can fill up to two squares if it incorporates multiple themes.
What do I get if I achieve bingo or fill the whole card?
As of now, there are no prizesāit would all be done for the love of the game! However, if you do manage to black out your bingo card, you unlock a super secret second card that you can also fill.
You can start writing any time, but posting your fills for the bingo will officially begin October 1st and last until October 31st. There will be an AO3 link to submit your fics to, and if you post your fills on Tumblr just be sure to tag @StarTrek-BookClub so we donāt miss it!
Is this event exclusive to Star Trek: The Original Series?
No! Feel free to write for any show, era, ship, timeline, or universeāas long as itās Trek.
Do I need to be in the StarTrek-Bookclub discord in order to participate?

Can I join the Book Club?

Can I use a work for another event to stamp out a bingo square?
