Nick Cave + The Dirty Three / ATP NY / Kutscher's, Monticello, New York / September 2008 -- Another Pitchfork.tv shoot. We'd rented out two connected rooms in a distant wing of the decaying Kutscher's resort. The wing had recently been flooded and these rooms had taken on too much water for anyone to sleep there. Before the trip up, we'd booked a session with The Dirty Three for first thing in the morning. So around 8:00 a.m., we were preparing backline, and the band arrived. We weren't expecting Nick Cave to show up requesting a keyboard. After some running around, we managed to persuade Suicide's Martin Rev to let us borrow his Korg Triton on short notice. It barely fit in the room, so Warren Ellis improvised by standing on the bed. You can watch the session here.
