“Ever have one of those days you feel like you been rode hard and put up wet? That’d be how my day went. Found out that apparently...some of the tourists need a little more hand holding than others,” he said with an exasperated sigh. “One guy pissed a fit cause he couldn’t understand basic math. Thought cause Boston and Florida are three inches apart on a map we’d make there and back in a day. Jesus on a bike. Don’t get me started. Tell me your day was better than mine.”
“Do you ever just contemplate all of your life decisions leading up to this very moment?” Andrew lightly gestured with his hand as he spoke before covering his eyes and rubbing his face. “Apparently that’s what this hangover led me to. I’m still asking myself why I even got out of bed at this point. Or how. And why I continue to agree to a few drinks with my uncle because it never ends well.” Resting an elbow on the table, Andrew propped his head up, squinting in the other’s direction. “I feel like kids have their life together better than I do sometimes. But at least I still get to technically color.” His own attempt at a joke brought a faint smirk to his lips, being a tattoo artist.
“Every god damned day...but what’s got you so reflective?” he asked, taking a seat across from the other. “Speaking of, technicolor and what nots... show me what you got there...you brought some decent designs to pick from I hope.”
“Have you seen Entertainment Weekly’s cover? Even though it took them two years, I can’t wait for the new Mary Poppins movie.”
“But the release isn’t until 2018. I can’t even get excited about that...also, might have been more interesting if they say took advantage of that fifty year gap and let the story play in 1960′s London. Now in that case, I could see what all the hoopla was about.”
“So you know I had a date last night? Yeah, he tried to buy me a drink at Therapy and all 3 of his credit cards were declined, so he asked me if I could get them!” Jayde exclaimed, shaking his head. “I was like bitch! First, you make me pay your fucking entry fee which I was like okay fine, but fucking drinks? Nah babe. I still went home with him though because he was hot to be fair, and the bulge in his pants was so obvious, although when I got him naked it was quite the disappointment. Ugh… I left as soon as I woke this morning and I’m so not going to call him. Fucking tiny dick who expects his date to pay for fucking everything.” There really was no filter with Jayde. He rolled his eyes and pulled his cigarette from his lips, exhaling smoke into the air. “But how about your night darling? Any hotties enter your bed?”
While Ryan didn’t date for the most part, he could relate to the story being relayed in ways he didn’t care to remember, hence the reason he didn’t date, to begin with. “Sounds like you had a rough night, though I tend to maintain low expectations when it comes to that sort of thing anyway...that way there’s never any disappointment.” He took a mouthful of coffee as he pondered on his response to the last question. “Nobody if I’m being honest, but even if there had been...I don’t play that kiss and tell shit. Outside of that it was alright I guess. Not half as interesting as yours sounds like...”
