you know seeing this reminds me of just how much things truly have and DO change between Sebastian and Ciel, their dynamic over the manga.

I was rewatching Book of Circus earlier and that's like the first glimpse we see of the changing dynamic, by the end, but it would have been unthinkable to see both of them back then bantering full on together like this, no chess moves behind it or anything. I mean think about how back then Sebastian had let loose the snakes while Ciel was still searching through the tents, just to fuck with him a bit.

that'd be like UNTHINKABLE now, in that way.
