I'm actually going to be so real here and I don't care if people don't like it: some of the shippers, in particular those who ship m/m, are actually insane. I cannot even imagine how it would feel if people spoke to you the way you talk about people advocating for bisexual representation. If a character is queer without being given specific parameters, you are always jumping down people's throats telling them the most deranged shit if they dare to say "hey what if this character is actually bisexual though". If you want to headcanon that the queer character is gay then that's good for you, but you absolutely do not have the right to tell people who headcanon them as bisexual—when it is a character whose explicit sexuality has never been confirmed—that they are *insert barrage of insults here*. They're not trying to steal your m/m ship from you, calm the fuck down.

People don’t always mean exactly what they say. They can cover up what they actually mean by using something else to do it.

A man bullying another man for being kind, gentle, caring and emotionally intelligent by calling him gay does not confirm for sure, that he is gay. It goes a lot deeper than that, whether it’s true or not.

When a man (like so many other men) is bullying another man for the traits that make him who he is by calling him gay and then just going with that like it’s some sort of confirmation, you’re just ignoring what’s actually going on. Ormund knows that one of the best ways to emotionally and psychologically mess with someone is by targeting the things that make them who they are, ie Gwaynes core traits, that’s what he was doing. Ormund, as I’m sure most of us can agree, is just plain cruel to anyone he wants to be cruel to.

It’s not as easy as “well he called him gay so he is!! It’s 100% confirmed that he is now!!” It hasn’t been confirmed and no one actually knows that for sure (at this point I’m not even sure the show runners have a clue…about anything really)

So many of you are acknowledging the very clear homophobia Ormund is showing as something being confirmed canon but also not acknowledging that a) it hasn’t been confirmed and b) he was presenting a lot of other behaviours alongside the homophobia.

Sorry but to reduce a man bullying another man for simply being a good man and not behaving like other men as some sort of confirmation is just spreading the same narrative that has existed for decades.
