PLEASE READ BC I REALLY FEEL LIKE SOME OF Y'ALL NEED TO BE DRAGGED BACK TO REALITY
Hey so to the people going absolutely nuts over the fact that "episode 6 confirmed Gwayne is gay" I already spoke about this so I don't wanna repeat myself too much so if someone is just now seeing this post and for some reason is curious on my thoughts on the scenes, it's on my blog under this post, putting aside my whole opinion on that scene, let's say it did confirm that he isn't straight, it doesn't automatically mean he's gay, and this is where a whole other issue begins, bc the LGBTQ+ community is supposed to be accepting and loving and just like the name says it's supposed to represent lesbians, gays, BISEXUALS, transgender people, and queer as a whole, but the little (actually not so little) detail that y'all constantly seem to either forget or ignore, is that people are not just gay or straight, they can be bisexual etc. which are terms that even though THEY don't use, we do, we understand, they also understand what it is to like the same gender or both genders, so they might not be able to name it but we can, so the fact that you hear something that to you is hinting at someone's sexuality, and you automatically jump to the assumption that he's gay no other option, and you don't even want to give it any further thought, when with Gwayne specifically, we have no scenes of him with either men or women, so both can be possible, just like it can also be only one of those, but it's just so toxic and borderline biphobic to constantly erase bi people and bisexuality as a whole.
And don't get me started on the fact that people who jumped on the "Gwayne is gay" train are now bullying and harassing people who don't agree, and fanfic writers who are writing for him with a female love interest, y'all have some serious issues, bc not only are y'all going too far about something that is not this deep but once again you are seeing one possibility when there's more than one, just bc YOU saw that scene and wanted to assume he's gay, other people have every right to either assume he might be bisexual, or just not really rely on that scene to dictate anything further, not when it comes from a bully. Even if he was confirmed to be gay, that gives you no right to attack people for writing fanfiction with a female love interest, you can feel however you want about it, I'm not invalidating your feelings but you cannot go around acting like a madman and harassing people for creating harmless fiction about a fictional character, if the person writing this stories says anything homophobic or implies that they are writing him or any other character as straight bc "it's better" then THAT is a problem THAT is what you should be mad about, not anything else, not a simple work of fiction that people are doing for fun, all bc they liked the character and want to write for him. You can write for him and other characters with a male love interest, but a female love interest, and any other is also okay as long as the intentions are good
