“If you’re a white person who’d never heard POC talk about white people before the advent of social media, it probably means no POC, even your friends, have truly trusted you.”

Years ago, when I was just a budding witch, I read a book on urban witchcraft that spoke in very flowery terms about strip clubs as "temples to Aphrodite" and advised people to make offerings there, but to just tip and call the dancers "lady" or "goddess" and get out. Now that I'm investigating sex work as an option, I'm getting the feeling that that was really offensive unintentionally. Can you shed a little light on it?
“goddess” or “lady” are two of the literally LEAST offensive terms I’ve heard to refer to strippers.
I think we all need to heavily promote the idea that it is valid to express your faith by going to a strip club, giving a dancer money, calling her something fairly polite, and leaving as soon as you’ve given her your offering.
Yeah fuck church I’m going to the strip club
I want to see what strip club marketing turns into when the usual crowd gets pushed out in favor of Tumblr-using neopagans come to give praise
