i just think it kind of sucks that even though taylor wrote mary’s song from a neighbor’s perspective and mine when someone put their arm around her shoulder and she daydreamed a whole future and speak now when a friend’s ex was getting married and she imagined barging in and stay stay stay when she was simply daydreaming and blank space from the perspective of an alter ego and inthaf inspired by a book…the general public didn’t think she was a genius for any of that till she turned 30 and still used other perspectives but made her music alternative. folklore is insanely good and her best work but 14 year old taylor imagining a lifelong love should have showed the entire world what she was capable of instead of being branded as only writing about boys
