for whoever needs to hear this, if you refuse to communicate your relationship problems with someone and instead choose to let those feelings simmer until they eventually boil over, while providing absolutely no room for that person to show growth, you're just a fucking coward and are a generally unsafe person for others to be around. part of life is fucking up. if nobody in your life has any room to make mistakes, you are going to eventually fracture every connection available to you. nobody is infallible. everyone will make an error eventually. everyone will cause hurt. and while you don't have to accept everyone's apology, the absolute least you can do for someone you claim to care for is give them time to rectify their actions. i've seen a rising trend in the trans community of ex-communicating those that are deemed "unsafe", no matter the context, severity, or origin of accusation. do you realize how damning that is? do you understand how weaponized accusations against members of the trans community can be a death sentence? we MUST do better. so many of us have become so sensitive to the traumas the world has inflicted upon us that we look for them at every turn and in an attempt to cauterize the wounds that have formed, doom those with good intent just the same as we do truly malevolent perpetrators. bad people don't condemn their past actions. bad people don't internalize the labels you've thrust upon them. bad people don't spend every waking moment in agony for the pain they inflicted. provide your trans siblings with the same understanding you hope to receive when you eventually find yourself on the other side of the accusation. you have a lot of life to live. be kind to each other.

Yes, wholeheartedly agree, but I want to add nuance. If someone is being abusive you are not obligated to subject yourself to further abuse to tell them that you don't like abuse. In a perfect world we are all kind to each other, and we should definitely begin that way, but you are allowed to remove yourself from a situation in which you are not safe. They should also be looking out for you.
