like whatever yeah that does suck in a way too but im talking about how bands will literally ignore an entire continent. wales and scotland are like within reasonable driving distance of big uk cities and yall have trains too. im not saying thats easy or inexpensive but if i living in africa want to see someone who's not playing In My Continent then i have to literally get a plane ticket. if bands do come to africa they also just go to cape town, joburg, maybe durban. those are all just in south africa which is luckily where i live. if someone in one of the many other african countries wanted to see them they'd likely also need a plane ticket. africa is HUGE and the uk is tiny these things are not equivalent imo. and my credentials are i lived in the uk in a place that is not london/bristol/manchester for years
