the elevator ride was suffocating, the air thick with everything we hadn’t said to each other over the years. i kept my eyes glued to the flashing floor numbers, trying to ignore the heat radiating from him, but the tension was different this time.
when the doors finally dinked open, chris led me down the hallway to his apartment. the sound of the key turning in the lock suddenly felt stressful.
as soon as i stepped inside, that familiar vanilla scent hit me—sweet, warm, and so him. i turned around slowly, my heart hammering against my ribs, and saw him closing the door behind us.
for a split second, we just stood there, the silence electric, and then we crashed together. it was desperate. we were both starving for the taste of one another, our lips meeting in a hungry, bruising kiss that felt like coming home.
we kicked our shoes off blindly, stumbling through the dark hallway. his lips never left mine as he guided me toward his bedroom, his hands already fumbling with the jacket he’d lent me earlier.
everything felt the same, yet a thousand times more intense. i pulled his shirt over his head, my fingers grazing the warm muscle of his chest, and before i could even process the rush of it all, i was lying bare on his sheets.
chris hovered over me, his eyes dark and blown out as he took me in, looking at me like i was a masterpiece he’d been waiting a lifetime to see again.
“fuckkk... you are even more beautiful than i remembered,” he whined, the sound vibrating against my skin as he buried his face in the crook of my neck.
his kisses were frantic, moving from my jaw to my collarbone, and then lower. his hands were everywhere at once, cupping my breasts, pressing into the soft weight of them with a possessive grip that made me moan.
when his mouth moved down to my lower stomach, i arched off the bed, my breath hitching as he kissed the skin just above my hips.
“so beautiful...” he whispered against my skin. then his fingers found my pussy, a soft, knowing touch that made me whine out loud. no one has ever known my body like chris.
he knew every curve, every mole, and every sensitive spot as if he’d spent every day we were apart studying a map of me. he looked at me like he was asking for a premission. i simply nodded, my head tossing back on the pillow, and then his tongue was on me.
he was devouring me, licking and sucking with a slow, deep rhythm that sent sparks through my entire body. he kept whispering to me, calling me a good girl and telling me how much he loved me between every gasp i let out.
i was so close, the pleasure building in my chest until i was shaking, but then he suddenly stopped.
“no, no, chris...” i whined, reaching for him, but he just leaned up and kissed my forehead. “calm down, angel...” he whispered, his voice a low, gravelly rasp. he stripped out of his pants and boxers in one fluid motion.
he was so hard it made my head spin, the sight of him reminding me exactly what i'd been missing. he lined himself up, and as he pushed inside, i felt that huge, familiar stretch. i’d forgotten how perfectly he filled me, how much space he took up inside of me.
“fuckkkk... so perfect,” he moaned, his eyes shutting tight as he started moving with a fast, heavy rhythm.
i held onto the mattress for dear life, my voice caught in my throat. “oh, chris...” i managed to choke out. i looked down and saw the faint, terrifyingly beautiful outline of his dick pressing against the skin of my belly with every deep thrust.
he was hitting every spot perfectly, his body slamming against mine until the headboard rattled against the wall. we were both right there, on the very edge, and before i could even think, we both came together. it was an explosion of heat that left us both gasping for air, tangled in the sheets.
“are you okay…?” he asked softly. i nodded, even though my chest was still rising a little too fast. without another word, he pulled me closer, guiding me gently until i was laying against his chest. his hand rested on my side, moving slowly up and down, grounding me, calming me in that quiet way only he ever could.
his heartbeat was steady beneath my ear. for a while, neither of us spoke. it was peaceful.
after some time, he carefully shifted, sitting up. i watched him through half-lidded eyes as he reached for his boxers, pulling them on before grabbing something from the chair.
his hoodie.
he handed it to me without saying anything. i slipped it on, the fabric oversized, warm, smelling like him. i looked at him, a little confused, but he just gave me a small smile and nodded toward the balcony.
“come on.” i followed him quietly. the night air hit my skin the moment we stepped outside—cool, soft, wrapping around us. the city was quiet, distant lights glowing faintly, the sky dark and endless above us.
i sat down beside him, pulling his hoodie closer around me.chris leaned back in his chair, reaching into his pocket. my eyes widened slightly when i saw what he pulled out.
“you told me you stopped,” i said, a little defensive, a little surprised. he let out a quiet laugh, shaking his head. “just sometimes.”
then he held it up. a joint—wrapped in pink paper, tied with a tiny bow. just like he used to make for me. my expression softened instantly.
“come on…just one,” he said, looking at me with those same puppy eyes that always made it impossible to say no.
i exhaled quietly, giving in like i always did with him. “fine.” he smiled, lighting it carefully before handing it to me. i took a slow drag, the familiar feeling settling in my chest as i exhaled the smoke into the night air.
chris shifted closer, his arm wrapping loosely around me, pulling me against his side so i could lean into him.
it felt the same. everything felt the same, but at the same time…it didn’t. because this time, i wasn’t just there when it was convenient. this time, he wanted me there.
“just be mine,” he whispered softly, his voice low between the smoke. i stilled slightly. “what…?” i asked quietly, not sure i heard him right.
he turned his head toward me, his expression serious now. softer than i’d ever seen it. “be mine,” he repeated. “be with me.”
i slowly sat up, turning to face him fully, searching his face for any hesitation. there was none. “what?” i let out a small breath, almost disbelieving.
he leaned closer, his forehead gently pressing against mine. “i changed,” he murmured. “but my love for you didn’t.” my heart tightened.
“chris…” i whispered, unsure, overwhelmed. his hand came up to my cheek, warm and steady. “this is the right time,” he said softly. “i need you by my side.” the way he said it… it wasn’t rushed. it wasn’t careless.
it was real.
i smiled softly, my eyes closing for just a second before i leaned in and kissed him. slow. gentle. certain.
when we pulled away, he blinked at me, a small smile already forming. “was that a yes?” he asked quietly. i nodded.
his smile broke fully then—bright, genuine, the kind i hadn’t seen in years.
“god, how much i love you…” he murmured before leaning in again, kissing me once… then again… and again, quick soft kisses that made me laugh quietly.
“chris—” i laughed, breathless.
he pulled back just enough to look at me, his expression softening. “i missed your laugh,” he said gently. my smile faded into something softer. “i missed you,” i whispered.
he didn’t answer with words. he just kissed me again. and this time, neither of us pulled away too quickly. the night stayed quiet around us, the city distant, the stars above watching like they always had.
it felt right.
just the two of us.
under the quiet night.
with a soft trail of smoke between us.
author’s note: guys…this is the end of smoke between us 🙉 im actually sad that it’s over but new things are coming up for you ! tysmm for all of the support because of this series. love youu 💗💗

Bodyguard!Chris x Mafiadaughter!Mia
This was a mistake.
Warnings: angst, argument, crying, cursing
It didn’t come out harsh.
Didn’t come out loud.
If anything, it was calm.
Too calm.
And somehow, that made it worse.
Chris didn’t answer right away.
Didn’t move.
Didn’t even breathe for a second.
Because the second he answered that question… everything would change.
He knew it.
His father knew it.
There was no playing this off. No dodging. No bullshit excuse that would actually work not with him.
His mind moved fast, faster than he let it show.
Say no.
That would be easy.
Simple.
Say no, brush it off, call it a misunderstanding, say she’s just someone im supposed to protect, say she’s off-limits, say whatever he needed to say to keep things the way they were.
But then what?
Continue sneaking around for forever?
Hiding her?
Pretending she didn’t matter?
Pretending he didn’t—
Chris’s jaw tightened.
No.
That wasn’t him.
And it sure as hell wasn’t her.
Because Mia wasn’t some secret.
She wasn’t something casual.
She wasn’t something he could just lie about like it meant nothing.
Her father was still watching him.
Waiting.
Chris exhaled slowly through his nose, then leaned forward, elbows resting on his knees.
When he finally spoke, his voice was steady.
“Yeah.”
Silence.
But not the same kind as before.
This one… shifted something.
Chris didn’t look away.
Didn’t try to soften it or take it back.
“If that’s what you’re asking,” he added, more firmly, “then yeah. I am.”
His father’s expression didn’t change.
Not immediately.
He just sat there, eyes locked on Chris like he was reading something deeper than the words.
Then, slowly, he leaned back in his chair.
“I see.”
That was it.
No explosion.
No anger.
Just that.
Chris didn’t relax.
If anything, his chest felt tighter.
Because this? This calm?
This was where things got dangerous.
“You understand,” her father continued, voice measured, “that this complicates things.”
Chris let out a quiet scoff, shaking his head slightly. “Yeah. I figured you’d say that.”
“This isn’t about what I say. It’s about reality.”
Chris looked back at him, eyes sharp. “No, it’s about control.”
A small pause.
Then—
“You think this is about control?” her father asked.
“I think you don’t like anything you can’t control,” Chris shot back.
Her father studied him for a moment.
Then sighed almost like this was disappointing, not infuriating.
“This isn’t about me, Christopher.”
Chris hated when he used his full name.
It always meant this was serious.
“Then what is it about?” Chris challenged.
Her father leaned forward slightly, resting his hands on the desk.
“It’s about her.”
That made Chris go still.
“She’s happy,” her father continued. “Happier than I’ve seen her in a long time.”
Chris didn’t say anything.
Because that part?
That part was true.
He’d seen it too.
The way she smiled more. The way she laughed easier. The way she looked at him like—
Like he was something good.
Something safe.
Something she trusted.
And fuck, that alone made his chest tighten.
“I’m not blind,” her father said. “I see the way she looks at you.”
Chris swallowed hard, but kept his face neutral.
“And I see the way you look at her.”
That hit harder.
Because that?
That wasn’t something Chris thought anyone noticed.
“She matters to you,” her father said plainly.
Chris didn’t deny it.
Didn’t even try.
“…Yeah,” he said quietly.
Another pause.
Then her father nodded once, like that confirmed something.
“I’m glad she’s happy.”
Chris blinked.
That wasn’t what he expected.
Not even close.
For a second, it actually threw him off.
“…What?” he muttered.
“I said I’m glad she’s happy,” her father repeated. “She deserves that.”
Chris stared at him now, confusion flickering in his expression. “Then what’s the problem?”
Hee father held his gaze.
“The problem,” he said evenly, “is that this won’t last.”
And just like that—
There it was.
Chris’s expression hardened instantly. “You don’t know that.”
“I do.”
“No, you don’t.”
“Yes, I do,” her father said, sharper now. “Because I know this world. And I know what it does to people.”
Chris shook his head, pushing up from the chair again, pacing once like he needed to burn off the tension building under his skin.
“That doesn’t mean—”
“It means everything,” he cut in. “You think you can be what she needs? She is going to take over when im too old to do this.”
Chris stopped.
“You think you can keep her safe forever?” her father pressed. “You think you can be what she needs in the long run?”
Chris turned back to him, jaw tight. “I can try.”
“That’s not enough.”
“It is for her,” Chris snapped.
“Is it?” her father challenged. “Or is it enough for you?”
That question landed differently.
Quieter.
But deeper.
Chris didn’t answer right away.
Because for a second
Just a second
Doubt crept in.
He pushed it down just as fast.
“I care about her,” Chris said, voice lower now but no less firm. “I’m not just—this isn’t some thing I’m messing around with.”
“I know that.”
Chris frowned slightly. “Then why are you acting like it is?”
“I’m not,” her father said. “I’m acting like it’s serious.”
And that—
That shifted the weight of the conversation again.
“Because if it’s serious,” her father continued, “then you need to understand what that means.”
Chris didn’t like where this was going.
Didn’t like the tone.
Didn’t like the way his chest felt like it was slowly tightening with every word.
“What are you saying?” he asked, quieter now.
Her father stood.
Walked around the desk.
Stopped a few feet in front of him.
“I’m saying you have a choice.”
Chris’s stomach dropped.
“A choice,” he repeated slowly.
He nodded.
“You can continue working here,” he said. “Keep your position. Stay in this house. Stay in her life.”
Chris’s eyes narrowed slightly. “And?”
“And you end whatever this is between you.”
Silence.
Chris didn’t move.
Didn’t breathe.
“You break up with her,” her father said plainly. “You keep things professional. You remain her bodyguard. Nothing more.”
Chris’s chest tightened.
Hard.
“And if I don’t?” he asked, even though he already knew.
Her father didn’t hesitate.
“Then you’re done here.”
The words hung in the air.
Heavy.
Final.
“You leave,” her father continued. “You walk away from this job, from this house… and from her.”
That hit like a punch to the ribs.
Chris’s brows furrowed. “What the hell does that mean?”
“It means you don’t get both.”
Chris let out a harsh laugh, shaking his head. “That’s bullshit.”
“It’s reality.”
“No, it’s you trying to control—”
“It’s me protecting my daughter.”
That shut him up.
For a second.
Just a second.
But it was enough.
“Because if you walk out that door,” her father went on, voice steady, “you don’t come back. Not for her. Not for anything.”
Chris stared at him now.
Really stared.
Trying to see if there was any give in that.
Any room to fight it.
There wasn’t.
“You’re serious,” Chris said quietly.
“I am.”
Chris ran a hand through his hair, turning away, pacing again.
This wasn’t happening.
This couldn’t be happening.
Break up with her…
Or never see her again.
Those were the options.
That was it.
No loophole.
No third choice.
“Are you fucking kidding me?” Chris muttered under his breath, frustration bleeding through now. “You’re really gonna do this to her?”
“I’m doing this for her.”
“No, you’re not,” Chris snapped, turning back. “You’re taking away the one thing that actually makes her happy.”
“And replacing it with stability.”
“She doesn’t want stability,” Chris shot back. “She wants—”
“You,” her father finished.
Chris froze.
“…Yeah,” he said, quieter now.
“And you can still be in her life,” her father said. “Just not like this.”
“That’s not the same and you know it.”
“It’s better than nothing.”
Chris’s chest rose and fell a little heavier now.
Because that—
That part—
That was the trap.
Better than nothing.
Because the other option?
Was nothing.
No seeing her.
No hearing her laugh.
No being near her.
Nothing.
And fuck—
That wasn’t something he could handle.
He knew it.
He hated that he knew it.
“You’re asking me to lie to her,” Chris said finally.
“I’m asking you to make a decision.”
Chris let out a bitter laugh. “You’re asking me to break her heart.”
“I’m asking you to protect her from something worse.”
Chris shook his head, anger and something heavier mixing together in his chest. “You don’t get to decide that.”
“I already have.”
Silence fell again.
Thick.
Suffocating.
Chris looked down at the floor for a second, jaw clenched so tight it hurt.
Because suddenly
It didn’t matter how much he argued.
Didn’t matter how right he thought he was.
Didn’t matter how much he cared about her.
The outcome…
Was already decided.
Unless he walked away from her completely.
And that?
That wasn’t an option.
It never was.
He let out a slow breath, dragging a hand over his face.
His voice, when he spoke again, was quieter.
Rougher.
“…If I stay,” he said, not looking up yet, “I can still see her?”
“Yes.”
“Still be around her?”
“Yes.”
“Still protect her?”
“Yes.”
Chris swallowed.
Hard.
“And if I don’t…”
“You lose all of that.”
Chris closed his eyes for a second.
And all he could see was her.
Her smile.
Her laugh.
The way she looked at him like he was something good.
The way she trusted him.
The way she—
Fuck.
His chest tightened painfully.
Because he knew.
He knew exactly what he had to do.
And he hated it.
He hated it more than anything.
Chris finally looked up again.
His expression had changed.
Still hard.
Still controlled.
But there was something else there now.
Something heavier.
Resigned.
“…Fine,” he said quietly.
Her father didn’t react.
“Fine,” Chris repeated, louder this time, like forcing the word out would make it easier. “I’ll end it.”
The words tasted like shit in his mouth.
Like something he didn’t mean.
Something he didn’t want.
But something he had to say anyway.
“For her,” her father added.
Chris let out a hollow laugh. “Yeah. Sure. For her.”
But the way his chest felt?
The way his throat tightened?
The way something in him felt like it was cracking—
That didn’t feel like it was for her.
That felt like it was destroying both of them.
Her father nodded once. “Good.”
Chris didn’t respond.
Didn’t trust himself to.
Because if he stayed in that room any longer—
He might take it back.
And he couldn’t afford to.
Not if it meant losing her completely.
So instead, he turned.
Walked to the door.
Hand gripping the handle just a little too tight.
He paused for a second.
Just one.
Then opened it.
And stepped out.
And the second the door shut behind him—
Chris exhaled sharply, like he’d been holding his breath the entire time.
His chest felt tight.
Too tight.
Like something was pressing down on it, making it hard to think straight.
He ran a hand through his hair, pacing once down the hallway.
“…Fuck,” he muttered under his breath.
This wasn’t how it was supposed to go.
He was supposed to protect her.
Not be the one who hurt her.
But now?
Now he was the one who had to look her in the eyes
And lie.
Because there was no way in hell he could tell her the truth.
Not when the truth was that her own father forced this.
Not when that would just make everything worse.
Not when it would put her in the middle of something she couldn’t fix.
Chris leaned back against the wall for a second, staring up at the ceiling.
Trying to figure out how the hell he was supposed to do this.
How he was supposed to walk up to her…
And act like she didn’t matter.
Like this didn’t matter.
Like he didn’t—
He swallowed hard.
Pushing the thought down before it could fully form.
Because if he let himself feel that right now—
He wouldn’t be able to do it.
And he had to do it.
Because losing her completely?
That wasn’t something he could survive.
Even if keeping her meant breaking both of them.

Bodyguard!Chris x Mafiadaughter!Mia
"Are you trying to kill me?"
Warnings: mafia, mentions of violence, cursing, smut! P in v, dirty talk, kissing, making out, let me know if I missed anything!
Mia had known about the dinner for three days, and somehow it still managed to make her nervous.
she had been around powerful, intimidating men her entire life. Mafia dinners, business meetings disguised as parties, quiet negotiations that carried the weight of entire empires. She had grown up sitting at the edges of rooms like that.
But tonight felt… different.
Her father had specifically asked her to attend.
“Everyone’s bringing their kids,” he had said earlier that afternoon, standing in the doorway of her room while adjusting his cufflinks. “It’s time people start seeing you as more than just my daughter.”
Mia had leaned against her vanity, arms crossed. “Meaning?”
He gave her that look. The one that said she already knew the answer.
“You’re the only heir I have your next in line to lead the family business Mia.”
So here she was, two hours later, staring at herself in the mirror.
The dress she’d picked out was dark red—deep enough to almost look black in dim lighting. The fabric hugged her waist and hips before flowing slightly down her legs. The neckline dipped into a sharp V-cut, showing just enough cleavage to feel a little dangerous without being inappropriate.
The back of the dress was completely open.
Her hair fell in soft waves over her shoulders, glossy and loose, framing her face perfectly.
She turned slightly, studying the way the dress fit her.
Okay… yeah.
She looked good.
Maybe a little too good.
A small, amused smile pulled at her lips as she reached for her perfume.
For a brief moment, Chris crossed her mind.
She hadn’t seen him all day. He’d been busy with security arrangements for the dinner.
The thought of his reaction seeing her made her stomach flutter slightly.
She shook it off.
“Get it together,” she muttered to herself.
But the smile stayed.
By the time Mia finally walked downstairs, the house was already buzzing with conversation.
Her father didn’t do small dinners.
The dining room had been expanded into the adjoining sitting area, long tables covered with elegant dark linens and candlelight. Crystal glasses reflected warm golden light across the room.
Several families were already there.
Men in expensive suits. Women in sleek dresses.
And their children most of them around Mia’s age, some younger, some older.
The moment Mia stepped into the room, a few heads turned.
That was normal.
She offered polite smiles, walking further into the room.
“Evening, Mia,” one of the older men greeted warmly.
“Mr. Moretti,” she said politely.
A woman pulled her into a brief hug. “You’ve grown up so beautifully.”
Mia laughed softly. “You say that every time you see me.”
“And every time it’s more true.”
She continued greeting people, making small talk the way she’d been taught since childhood.
But then—
She saw him.
Chris stood near the far wall with two other guards, dressed in a black suit that made him look even broader than usual.
He had been scanning the room, clearly doing his job.
Then his eyes landed on her.
And he froze.
Mia almost laughed.
The look on his face was priceless.
Chris blinked once.
Then again.
His gaze moved slowly down her figure before snapping back up to her face.
For a second he looked completely thrown off.
Flustered.
And Mia felt a tiny spark of victory in her chest.
She lifted one eyebrow slightly.
Chris cleared his throat and looked away, running a hand over the back of his neck.
Yeah.
She had definitely caught him off guard.
Dinner began about thirty minutes later.
Everyone took their seats around the long table, conversations overlapping with the clinking of glasses and plates.
Mia sat halfway down the table beside one of the other daughters, Alessia.
Across the room, Chris remained standing along the wall with the other security.
But Mia could feel his eyes on her sometimes.
Not constantly.
But enough.
The first half of dinner stayed light.
People talked about travel, businesses expanding, new investments.
Wine flowed easily.
Laughter filled the room.
But eventually, the conversation shifted.
It always did.
One of the men leaned back slightly in his chair, swirling the wine in his glass.
“So,” he said casually, glancing toward Mia’s father. “Have you started preparing Mia to take over yet?”
The table quieted slightly.
Mia kept her expression neutral, but she felt the shift in attention immediately.
Her father dabbed his mouth with his napkin before answering.
“She’s learning.”
Several people looked toward her.
Mia held their gazes calmly.
Another man chuckled. “She’ll have a lot on her shoulders. Shes almost at the age to take over.”
“She’s capable,” her father said simply.
Mia spoke up then.
“I’ve been sitting in on meetings,” she said.
A few eyebrows raised.
“Really?” Alessia asked beside her.
Mia nodded. “Mostly observing. But I’ve been learning how things run.”
One of the older men studied her thoughtfully.
“You don’t seem nervous.”
Mia smiled faintly.
“I’ve grown up around this my entire life.”
That earned a few approving nods.
Her father watched her quietly from the head of the table.
Not smiling.
But there was pride there.
The conversation continued from there people discussing future partnerships, expansions, territory disputes disguised under polite language.
Mia listened carefully.
Every word mattered in rooms like this.
Occasionally someone would ask her opinion, testing her.
And every time, she answered calmly and correctly.
Across the room, Chris watched everything.
At one point, their eyes met again.
And this time
Chris didn’t look away as quickly.
His gaze lingered a second too long.
Mia felt warmth creep up her neck.
She looked back down at her plate.
By the time dinner finally ended, it was nearly midnight.
Guests began slowly filtering out, saying goodbyes and exchanging handshakes.
Mia helped her father walk a few people to the door before slipping away upstairs.
Her heels clicked softly against the marble floors.
The house felt quieter now.
She stepped into her bedroom and shut the door behind her, exhaling slowly.
That had gone well.
They weren't wrong though. She was getting to the age to take over. Her father wasn't old but he wasn't young anymore he's in his late 50's now.
She kicked off her heels and walked toward her vanity
Then paused.
Her phone was sitting on the dresser.
She picked it up, staring at the screen for a moment.
A small smile appeared.
She typed quickly.
Come upstairs.
She hit send.
Chris was halfway through checking the security cameras when his phone buzzed.
He pulled it out casually.
Then froze when he saw the message.
His jaw tightened slightly.
He glanced toward the staircase.
Then back at the phone.
Then he sighed under his breath.
“Jesus Christ…”
Five minutes later, he was knocking on her bedroom door.
Mia opened it almost immediately.
Chris had been prepared to say something.
Anything.
But the words died in his throat.
Because she was still wearing the dress.
Up close it was worse.
Or better.
He wasn’t sure.
The neckline dipped low enough that it took serious effort not to stare. The open back exposed smooth skin all the way down her spine.
And her hair was still falling in those soft waves.
Chris dragged a hand down his face.
“Are you trying to kill me?”
Mia leaned casually against the doorframe.
“Excuse me?”
“You know exactly what I mean.”
She smiled slowly.
“I just dressed for dinner.”
“Yeah,” Chris muttered. “Sure you did.”
She stepped back into the room.
“Come in.”
He hesitated for half a second.
Then walked inside.
The door shut behind him with a quiet click.
For a moment neither of them spoke.
Chris crossed his arms, leaning against the wall.
“You needed something?”
Mia walked toward him slowly.
“Maybe.”
He watched her carefully.
“You were staring at me all night.”
Chris scoffed.
“I was doing my job.”
“Uh huh.”
She stopped a step away from him.
Close enough that he could smell her perfume.
Chris exhaled slowly.
“Mia…”
“What?”
“You know what you’re doing.”
She tilted her head slightly.
“Do I?”
His jaw clenched.
“You can’t walk around in a dress like that and then look at me like that.”
“Like what?”
“Like you want me to lose my damn mind.”
The room felt suddenly smaller.
Mia reached out and lightly grabbed the front of his suit jacket.
Chris went completely still.
Her voice dropped slightly.
“You look nervous.”
“I’m not nervous.”
“You look nervous.”
He leaned closer.
“I'm trying to behave.”
Her lips curved.
“That sounds difficult.”
Chris stared at her for a long moment.
Then muttered under his breath.
“Fuck it.”
He pulled her closer.
Mia gasped softly as his hand slid to her waist.
And then his mouth was on hers.
The kiss was immediate.
Hungry.
Like he had been holding back all night.
Mia melted into him almost instantly, her hands sliding up his chest to grip his shoulders.
Chris kissed her deeper, his hand tightening slightly at her waist as he pulled her closer.
Her back pressed lightly against the wall.
Mia’s fingers moved into his hair, tugging slightly.
Chris groaned softly against her mouth.
The sound made heat rush through her chest.
They broke apart for half a second, both breathing harder.
Chris rested his forehead against hers.
“This is a bad idea,” he muttered.
Mia’s voice came out soft.
“Then stop.”
He didn’t.
Instead, he kissed her again.
And the moment deepened.
Chris’s hand tightened slightly at her waist as he pulled her closer, like he needed her there. Mia could feel the heat of him through the fabric of his suit, solid and steady, and it made her head spin.
Her back pressed fully against the wall now.
Mia’s fingers slid into his hair again, tugging just enough to make him groan quietly into the kiss.
The sound sent a shiver down her spine.
Chris pulled back suddenly, breathing harder, his forehead dropping against hers again.
“Mia…” he murmured.
His voice was rough now.
Lower.
Dangerous.
Her heart was pounding so hard she could hear it in her ears.
Chris looked down at her, eyes dark, jaw tight like he was fighting something inside his head.
“This is…” he exhaled sharply, shaking his head once. “This is a really bad idea.”
Mia swallowed.
“Then stop.”
He stared at her.
For a long second he didn’t move.
Like he was waiting for her to laugh. Or change her mind. Or push him away.
She didn’t.
Instead, Mia stepped forward again and grabbed the front of his jacket, pulling him back down toward her.
That was all it took.
Chris kissed her again, harder this time.
His hands moved from her waist, sliding slowly along her sides before settling firmly at her hips. The contact sent warmth flooding through her chest.
Mia leaned fully into him, pressing closer without thinking.
The kiss grew deeper, slower, heavier.
Chris moved them away from the wall, guiding her backward a few steps until the backs of her legs hit the edge of the bed.
Neither of them noticed.
Or maybe neither of them cared.
Mia’s hands moved down from his shoulders, fingers working at the buttons of his suit jacket.
Chris broke the kiss just enough to look down.
“You’re really doing this right now?” he asked, breathless.
She glanced up at him, cheeks slightly flushed.
“You’re wearing too many layers.”
Chris let out a quiet laugh under his breath.
“Yeah… that tracks.”
He shrugged the jacket off, letting it fall somewhere on the floor.
Mia barely noticed.
Her hands slid up his chest again, feeling the warmth of him through his dress shirt.
Chris watched her carefully.
Like he was trying to read her mind.
Like he was still waiting for the moment she’d stop.
“Mia,” he said again, softer this time.
She looked up.
His expression had shifted slightly.
The teasing edge was gone.
Now he looked serious.
Careful.
He reached up and gently brushed a strand of her hair behind her ear.
“You sure about this?”
The question hung between them.
Not teasing.
Not joking.
Real.
Mia could feel her pulse racing.
She had never done this before.
Never gotten this close to someone.
But the way Chris was looking at her… the way he always looked at her… like she was something fragile and powerful at the same time.
It made the nerves fade.
She nodded.
“Yeah.”
Chris studied her face.
Still searching.
Still making sure.
“If we do this I want you to be sure...” he said quietly.
“I am.”
“Because once we start—”
“I know.”
She reached up and cupped his face, pulling him down just slightly so their foreheads touched again.
Her voice was soft.
But certain.
“I'm sure my love.”
For a second he closed his eyes.
Like that answer broke the last bit of restraint he had left.
When he opened them again, the tension was back.
Stronger this time.
“Jesus…” he muttered under his breath.
His hands slid back to her waist, pulling her closer again.
“Okay.”
Then he kissed her.
Slow.
Deep.
Like he finally stopped holding back.
One of his hands moved carefully along her back, fingers brushing the open skin of her dress.
Mia’s fingers moved to the buttons of his shirt now, slowly undoing the first one.
Then the second.
Chris watched her the whole time, his breathing heavier now.
“You’re really trying to ruin me tonight,” he said quietly.
Mia just smiled faintly.
“Maybe.”
Chris let out a soft laugh and kissed her again, one hand sliding to the back of her neck to hold her there.
The kiss lingered longer this time.
He pulled back just enough to look at me, his dark eyes scanning my face. “You’re so fucking beautiful, Mia.”
My heart hammered against my ribs. I’d been told I was pretty before, but the way he said it, low and rough, like it was a physical fact he was just now discovering, made my stomach clench. My hands trembled a little as I reached behind my back, fumbling for the string on my dress. I pulled on the string and shrugged the straps from my shoulders, and the dress pooled around my feet, leaving me in just my plain red bra and matching panties.
For a second, I felt a flash of self-consciousness, standing there. But then I saw his face. His mouth was slightly open, his gaze heavy as it dragged over my body, from the curve of my hips to the swell of my breasts pushed up by the simple bra.
“Holy shit,” he breathed, his voice barely a whisper. He took a step closer, his hands coming to rest on my waist, his thumbs stroking the skin just above the waistband of my panties.
He leaned in and kissed me again, softer this time, but with an undercurrent of hunger that made my knees feel weak. His hands slid up my ribs, his fingers tracing the underwire of my bra before moving to my back to unhook it. It fell away he made a low sound in his throat, a growl of pure appreciation.
I sat down on the bed and he knelt in front of me, his hands on my knees. He looked up at me, his eyes dark and intense. “Lie back for me, baby.”
I did, shuffling backward until I was fully on the bed, my head on his pillows. He followed, hooking his fingers into the sides of my panties and slowly, so slowly, pulling them down my legs and tossing them onto the floor. I was completely naked now, exposed in a way I never had been before. A part of me wanted to cover myself, but the look on his face stopped me. He looked like a man who’d just been presented with a feast.
He spread my legs gently, settling his shoulders between my thighs. The first touch of his tongue against my clit was a shock, a jolt of pure electricity that shot through my entire body. I gasped, my hands flying to his hair, my fingers tangling in the soft strands. He didn’t hesitate. He licked me with a slow, deliberate pressure, exploring every fold and crevice, his tongue flat and wide one moment, pointed and precise the next.
I’d never felt anything like it. My hips started to move of their own accord, grinding against his face, seeking more of that incredible friction. He groaned against me, the vibration sending another wave of pleasure through me. He focused on my clit then, sucking it into his mouth and flicking it rapidly with the tip of his tongue. The pressure started to build deep inside me, a tight, coiling heat that grew hotter and tighter with every pass of his tongue.
“Chris,” I gasped, my voice high and thin. “Oh, god, Chris… don’t stop.”
I was right there, teetering on the edge, my whole body tensing for the release I knew was coming. And then… he stopped. He lifted his head, his chin slick with my wetness, and just looked at me. A whine of pure frustration escaped my lips. My body was thrumming, right on the precipice, and he’d just… stopped.
He just smirked, a slow, confident curve of his lips. “Not yet,” he said, his voice a low rumble. “I want you to come on my cock.”
He moved up my body, kissing a trail up my stomach, between my breasts, along my collarbone. He settled his hips between my thighs, and I could feel him, hard and thick, pressing against me through the fabric of his pants.. He reached down, fumbling with the button and zipper, and then he was kicking his pants and boxers off.
I looked down. His dick was… a lot. Long and thick, the head flushed a dark, angry red and already leaking pre-cum. A jolt of pure fear, sharp and cold, cut through the haze of my arousal. There was no way. Absolutely no way that was going to fit inside me.
He must have seen the panic on my face because he leaned down, kissing me gently. “Hey,” he murmured against my lips. “Relax. We’ll go slow. I promise.”
He positioned himself at my entrance. He rubbed the head of his cock through my wetness, coating himself in my slickness. “Just breathe, baby. Tell me if you need me to stop.”
He started to push in. The stretch was immediate, a sharp, burning sting that made me wince. My hands flew to his shoulders, my nails digging into his skin. He stopped, letting me adjust. “Okay?” he asked, his voice strained.
I took a shaky breath and nodded. “Yeah. Keep going.”
He pushed in a little further, and the burning intensified. It was a strange mix of pain and pressure, a feeling of being completely, utterly filled. I squeezed my eyes shut, focusing on my breathing. He kept pushing, a slow, relentless slide.
He kissed me again, a deep, distracting kiss, as he finally, finally pushed all the way in. I felt his hips press against mine, and I realized, with a dazed sense of shock, that he was fully inside me. He was all the way in. The pain was already starting to fade, replaced by a dull, heavy ache and a strange, full feeling.
He stayed still for a long moment, letting my body adjust to his size. “Fuck, you’re tight,” he groaned, his voice muffled against my neck. “So fucking tight.”
Then he started to move. He pulled out almost all the way before pushing back in, a slow, deep stroke that made me gasp. The pain was gone now, replaced by a deep, pleasure that built with every thrust. My body, which had been tense with apprehension, began to relax, my legs wrapping around his waist, pulling him deeper.
“Chris,” I moaned, my head thrown back against the pillows. “Oh, god, that feels… that feels so good.”
He picked up the pace, his movements becoming harder, faster. The sound of our skin slapping together filled the room, mixed with my moans and his harsh grunts.
It was a good thing no one was really around or else they would have heard us.
He shifted his angle slightly, and his cock hit a spot inside me that made me see stars. A bolt of pure, white-hot pleasure shot through me, and I cried out his name.
“Right there?” he panted, his thrusts aimed at that same spot over and over again.
“Yes! Right there, don’t stop, please don’t stop!”
The pressure that had been building earlier came roaring back, stronger this time, more intense. It was a tidal wave, and I was completely at its mercy. It crashed over me, and I screamed, my body convulsing, my pussy clamping down on his cock as a powerful, shattering orgasm ripped through me.
He thrust into me a few more times, his movements becoming erratic, before he buried himself deep inside me with a guttural groan, his body shuddering as he came.
For a long time, we just lay there, our bodies tangled together, our breathing ragged in the quiet room. Then he slowly, carefully, pulled out of me and laying next to me.
He kissed the top of my head, his lips soft against my hair. “Are you okay?” he asked, his voice gentle. “Was that… was that okay for you?”
snuggled closer, my body feeling loose and boneless and utterly sated. “It was more than okay,” I mumbled into his chest. “It was perfect.”
He tightened his arms around me, holding me close. “Good,” he said, his voice full of relief. “You were perfect.”
After a moment of silence passed i spoke.
"I love you chris."
"I love you too baby"
He kissed me and we slowly drifted to sleep in eachothers arms.

okay i don’t mean to cause harm with this post and i wanna throw out there i have no hate towards any skin colour. we are all beautiful and all mf queens/kings. but why is it we have came to a society where being white is almost a bad thing? i’ve seen so many posts saying “__ only posts white fc this is racism” or “notice how there’s no black fc on this post.” or people genuinely arguing over a skin colour. and i have seen posts saying “it’s always a black girl” and honestly it needs to stop. if someone wants to post only white fcs that doesn’t make them racist. if someone only wants to post black fcs it doesn’t make them woke. love eachother and love our colour.
18+ Blurb where perv-bsf!Matt cums in bed beside bsf!reader during a sleepover✮⋆˙
a/n | Started randomly writing this because I thought it was hot so enjoy ;)
You had fallen asleep thirty minutes ago in Matt’s bed.
And Matt had stayed awake.
Cock harder then a fucking rock, sweatpants pulled down enough to have his fist clamped tightly around the slick shaft of it.
He didn’t know how it got to that point— but your oblivious taunting actions the whole night had somehow lead him to that moment, where he couldn’t take the urge to pump his aching cock anymore.
And he tried hard not to.
He knew it was wrong, to jerk off beside you while you slept peacefully in his bed.
His best-friend, the girl he had pretended not to be absolutely fucking whipped over.
But he thought maybe, maybe, if he just slid his palm down the length of it a few times, not enough to cum, but enough to soothe that ache, that he would finally be able to go to bed too.
What a lie that was.
“Oh my god,” he whispered into the quiet room, that pit in his stomach growing as his fist grew faster in pace against his cock.
His head tilted to the side, eyes running over your sleeping frame, the way his blanket left little to the imagination draped over your soft curves.
And before he knew it, his release came without a second thought, cum spirting out in thick streams pitifully onto his bare stomach, cock twitching in his palm.
He bit down on his lip to keep quiet hard enough to leave a mark.
After a minute he sighed, eyes turning back to you.
Still asleep.
Except you weren’t—not actually—and you heard absolutely everything.

ᵎᵎ warnings: angst, harassment, alcohol, verbal insults, toxic, mild violence, emotional distressᵎᵎ
you were standing at the side of the stadium, far from everyone else.
not because nobody let you stand with them, you just felt more comfortable there. the crowd was too loud, too alive, too full of energy that you didn’t know how to match. people were standing shoulder to shoulder in the middle of the stands, shouting and laughing and clapping loudly every few seconds.
so you stayed near the railing. quiet. watching.
the stadium lights were bright, almost blinding, shining down on the huge rugby field below. the grass looked almost unreal under the lights, glowing in a deep green color. the cold evening air brushed against your legs softly, moving the hem of your skirt and pushing your hair gently across your face.
your hands were tucked into the sleeves of your sweater. partly because it was cold. partly because you didn’t know what to do with them.
everyone around you seemed so confident here. they shouted the players’ names, argued about the game, laughed loudly when someone got tackled hard.
you didn’t say anything. you just watched. your eyes followed matt across the field without even realizing it. he looked completely different out there.
at school he was loud, teasing, careless. the kind of person that filled a room without trying. but here he looked focused. serious. like the entire world around him disappeared when the game started.
players crashed into each other hard, tackling, pushing, fighting for the ball. every time someone hit the ground the crowd reacted loudly—cheering, shouting, clapping. you flinched the first time it happened, but matt always got up again.
always.
at one moment he suddenly broke away from the group of players, running across the field with the ball tucked tightly against his side.
the crowd around you immediately started shouting.
“go matt !”
people stood up. you leaned forward slightly without realizing it, your fingers tightening around the metal railing.
two players tried to block him. he dodged one. the other grabbed his arm for a second but matt twisted away and kept running.
your heart jumped into your throat. a moment later he crossed the try line. the whistle blew. the stadium exploded.
everyone around you jumped to their feet, cheering so loudly it almost hurt your ears. people were clapping, shouting, hugging each other like they had just won something themselves.
you clapped too. quietly. barely making a sound compared to everyone else.
matt’s teammates immediately surrounded him on the field, slapping his back and pulling him into a quick celebration. someone lifted him slightly for a second while the others shouted his name.
you smiled softly. you couldn’t help it.
the game continued after that, fast and loud and full of energy you could barely keep up with. and later he scored again. this time the cheering was even louder.
his teammates ran to him again, practically tackling him in celebration while the crowd went wild. you felt something warm spread through your chest. a strange feeling. pride. even though you didn’t know why it felt like it belonged to you too.
finally the game ended.
the final whistle echoed across the stadium and everyone around you started clapping loudly again. people were standing up, cheering, talking excitedly about the match.
they won.
matt’s teammates gathered around him again near the side of the field, celebrating loudly. one of them lifted him up again while the others laughed and shouted.
then they all walked toward the dressing rooms. you stayed standing there quietly while the stadium slowly started to empty.
people walked down the stairs, still talking about the game. the loud energy slowly faded as the crowd disappeared piece by piece.
you were still standing there when the dressing room doors opened again. matt and the rest of his teammates came out. now dressed in normal clothes. immediately they were surrounded.
girls appeared almost out of nowhere, laughing loudly and congratulating them. some of them were touching matt’s arm, leaning close while talking to him.
someone shouted that there was a party. another voice repeated it loudly. “party at jake’s house!” everyone cheered.
the group started moving together toward the parking lot. you stayed standing there awkwardly for a second. then matt looked back. his eyes found you. “come on!” he shouted. so you followed.
but was it a good idea? that question stayed in your mind the entire time. you thought matt would stay with you. maybe talk to you a little. maybe stand near you at least. but that didn’t happen.
the moment you arrived at the house he disappeared into the crowd of people around him.
so now you were standing in the corner of the living room. awkwardly. like you didn’t belong there.
music was blasting loudly from speakers somewhere in the room. people were dancing, singing along to songs, shouting over each other while holding drinks.
the air smelled like alcohol and perfume and sweat. someone bumped into your shoulder while passing by and didn’t even notice. you were holding a cup of water. just water. you didn’t want alcohol.
your fingers gripped the cup tightly while you stood there watching everyone else have fun. you felt completely out of place. the noise started to feel overwhelming. too loud. too many voices. too many people. your chest felt tight.
so you quietly slipped away toward the hallway and found the bathroom. you closed the door behind you and leaned over the sink. the music was still loud through the walls but at least it was quieter here.
you turned on the cold water and splashed some on your face. your reflection looked back at you in the mirror. you tried fixing your hair a little. smoothing it down. trying to make yourself look normal again.
after a minute you opened the door. that’s when you heard matt’s voice. you stopped walking immediately. he was in the living room.
you looked toward the room carefully. he was sitting on the couch. three girls were sitting close to him, laughing and talking. you weren’t trying to listen, but their voices carried through the hallway.
“matt why did you invite her?” one of the girls asked. your stomach dropped.
matt laughed. “come on,” he said casually. “i’m just using her for good grades.” the girls laughed too.
your heart broke a little and you didn’t even know why. you and matt were nothing. just tutoring. just a deal.
but after the night at his house…after the way he looked at you while studying…you thought maybe you saw the real matt. maybe he was different, but clearly you were wrong.
everything suddenly felt too much. his words. the way those girls were leaning on him. the way they were laughing. you needed to leave. that was the only thought in your mind.
leave.
you walked quickly toward the door, but before you could reach it, a group of guys stepped in front of you. one of them suddenly pushed you back against the wall.
“oh look at this good looking girl…” he whispered. fear rushed through your chest. “hey, let me be!” you said, trying to push him away.
“oh come on,” he said quietly. “let’s have some fun baby.”
“i said let me be!” you tried pushing him again. he laughed softly. “stop fighting. i know you want it.”
you moved side to side trying to get past him. finally he stepped back.
“you’re no fun,” he said annoyed. “whore.” you didn’t answer. you just walked out of the house as fast as you could.
tears were already rolling down your face while you walked through the dark streets. alone. everything felt too heavy. matt’s words kept repeating in your mind.
“i’m just using her for good grades.”
you didn’t even realize how much it hurt until now. you just needed to be in your room. alone.
when you got home you quietly took off your shoes, but before you could go upstairs your mom came out of the kitchen. she had a beer in her hand.
“where is all the food?” she asked angrily. “i told you to buy it!”
“mom…no you didn’t,” you said carefully. her expression changed instantly.
“yes i did!” she suddenly slapped you. your heart stopped. you froze. you looked at her with pure disappointment in your eyes.
but you didn’t say anything, you just ran upstairs to your room. the only place that felt even a little safe. and when the door closed behind you—you finally broke down crying.

you could barely recognize the man walking beside you as you stepped out of the car, beginning to walk toward chris’s childhood home. as you walked up the steps toward the front door you noticed the way he suddenly got stiff, stopping in front of the door, he stood staring for a moment before hesitantly knocking softly. the door swung open, and his mom greeted you first, smiling but carefully. “chris, you brought her, it’s about time” she said, slightly whispering the last part and stepping aside. his dad lingered in the hallway, arms crossed, expression cold and unreadable, only making chris stiffen more.
his dad was never easy to please, even now that chris had made it into college with a hockey scholarship he’d earned despite barely passing high school. every game, every practice, none of it was enough according to his dad.

warnings: angst romantic tension, slow burn, physical closeness, past heartbreak
we stepped out of the restaurant together, the warm glow of the lights fading behind us as the door closed softly. the night wrapped around us instantly—cooler, quieter. above us, the stars were scattered across the sky like they had nowhere else to be, glowing gently, patiently. the trees along the street swayed slowly with the breeze, their leaves whispering to one another, and my hair followed the movement, brushing against my shoulders.
the cold crept into my skin before i even realized it. i shivered, barely noticeable, but chris noticed anyway. he stopped walking.
i felt his hand slip from mine, and before i could even ask why, he was already pulling off his jacket. my eyes followed his movements slowly—how he shrugged it off, how he stood there in just a long-sleeved black t-shirt like the temperature didn’t bother him at all.
“chris, you don’t—” i started, instinctively stepping closer.
but before i could finish the sentence, the jacket was already wrapped around my shoulders, warm and heavy, carrying his scent with it. clean. familiar. grounding.
“have to,” i finished quietly, my voice softer than i meant it to be.
he smirked just a little, that same stupid, effortless smirk that used to drive me crazy years ago.
i looked at him then—really looked. those eyes. that expression. the way he stood so casually, like nothing in the world weighed on him. he hadn’t changed at all. and yet… everything about him felt different. calmer. steadier. more present.
we didn’t say anything else. the silence between us wasn’t awkward—it was full. thick with things we both knew were there but weren’t ready to touch yet.
when we reached his car, he opened the passenger door for me like it was second nature. i slipped inside, adjusting his jacket around me, and he walked around to the driver’s seat.
as the engine started and the car pulled away, i watched the city through the window. the streets looked the same. familiar. like they’d been waiting too.
i glanced at chris.
the street lamps passed over his face, light and shadow sharpening his jawline, catching in his blue eyes. he looked focused, calm, but after a few minutes, his fingers tightened slightly around the steering wheel.
“so, um…” he cleared his throat. “you wanna, like…go home?” the question was careful. hesitant.
i kept looking at him, unsure what to say. i didn’t want this to end. but i also didn’t want to hold him there if he didn’t want to stay.
“um…” i murmured, words failing me. he glanced at me again, quickly, then back to the road. “or we could…go to the beach. or—”
“beach is okay,” i whispered before he could stop himself. he nodded immediately. “beach it is.”
the road shifted, the city lights thinning out as we headed toward the water. soft music played quietly in the background, something low and gentle, filling the space without demanding anything from us.
i leaned my head against the window, watching the world blur past. suddenly, chris reached over and rolled my window down.
i turned toward him, surprised, but then smiled as the wind rushed in. i leaned out slightly, letting my head slip through the open window. the air tangled in my hair, cool and wild, and i closed my eyes, laughing softly without meaning to.
chris glanced at me, his smile slow and real. he reached for the radio, fiddling with it for a moment.
then the song started.
champagne coast.
my breath caught.
i turned to him, eyes wide, and he just smiled like he’d been waiting for that reaction. before i knew it, we were both singing—too loud, off-key, not caring at all.
i leaned farther out the window, laughing, singing like a teenager again, like nothing ever hurt us. his hand hovered near my waist, steadying me without making a big deal out of it, just making sure i wouldn’t fall.
he laughed softly, the sound easy. familiar. it felt unreal and somehow…painfully real at the same time.
when we reached the beach, i slipped off my heels the second i stepped out of the car, sinking my toes into the cool sand. we walked side by side along the shoreline, the waves brushing close but not touching us.
the ocean stretched endlessly in front of us, dark and alive. we didn’t talk.
it felt like there was something heavy hanging between us—something waiting. something we both knew we should face, but neither of us reached for yet.
until chris did the dumbest thing possible. “where are you going?” i asked, confused, when i saw him stepping into the water.
the ocean reached his knees as he turned back to me, gesturing for me to follow. i shook my head immediately. “no.”
he rolled his eyes, smirking, and before i could react, he walked back toward me.
“what are you—” i started. then suddenly i was off the ground. “chris!!” i yelled as he lifted me effortlessly, my hands gripping his shoulders as he carried us straight into the water.
the ocean climbed higher and higher around us. “chris!” i shouted again, half laughing, half panicking, as the water soaked my dress. he only smirked.
by the time we stopped, the water was deep, my head barely above the surface.
“i hate you!” i said breathlessly. “i did my hair for one hour!” he laughed like it was the funniest thing he’d ever heard.
then he grabbed my head and dunked it under. i gasped when i came back up. “chris!!”
i tried to swim toward him, trying desperately to sink his head too, but i wasn’t strong enough. he laughed the whole time, completely unbothered.
“will you stop?” he asked calmly. eventually, i did and then i noticed how close we were. too close.
his hands found my waist, steady, warm. i looked up at him, into those blue eyes, glowing under the moonlight. beautiful. dangerous.
my gaze dropped to his lips. his did the same. the space between us shrank slowly, painfully, like gravity was pulling us together.
and then—
he pulled away.
“sorry, just—” the hurt hit instantly. i stepped back, water splashing as i turned toward the shore.
“no—hey!” he grabbed my wrist gently. “i wanna—”
i cut him off, looking back at him, frustration and confusion mixing in my chest. “i thought you wanted this. i thought you changed.”
his grip tightened just slightly—not controlling, just desperate. “i do,” he said quickly. “i want to kiss you so bad, but we have to talk it out. please.”
his voice wasn’t calm anymore.
it was raw.
honest.
i searched his face for a long moment.
then i nodded.
and together, we walked back toward the shore—wet, shaken, unfinished—knowing this night wasn’t over yet.

SMOKE BETWEEN US - PT. 22 (5 years later)
pairing… dealer!chris x innocent!reader
warnings: slow-burn tension, soft physical contact, romantic tension, nostalgia
i stood in front of the mirror longer than i probably needed to, fingers smoothing over the fabric of my dress again and again. dark red lace clung softly to my skin, familiar yet somehow different tonight. maybe because i wasn’t dressing for attention. maybe because this time…it felt like it mattered.
my heart was beating faster than it should have. i didn’t know why i was nervous. i knew him. i always had, but five years changed people. five years changed us. and this didn’t feel like before—like sneaking out, like something temporary.
this felt real.
and that scared me.
a part of me kept whispering that he wouldn’t come. that he’d text last minute with an excuse. that he’d disappear like he once did so easily. i tried to ignore it, breathing slowly, fixing my hair, adjusting my earrings.
then my phone lit up.
i’m here.
just three words.
my shoulders relaxed instantly as i let out a breath i didn’t realize i’d been holding. i smiled softly at my reflection, gave myself one last look, and grabbed my bag before stepping outside.
the night air was cool but gentle, summer still clinging to the warmth of the day. my heels clicked quietly against the pavement as i walked toward the street, my heart pounding with every step.
his car was parked just ahead. it wasn’t his old one. not the black car i remembered, the one that always smelled like weed and late nights. this one was newer. cleaner. different.
and so was he. he stood in front of it, hands tucked casually into his pockets, dressed in a black shirt, dark jeans, and a dark red jacket that matched my dress almost too perfectly. when he saw me, his posture changed instantly—like the sight of me knocked the air from his lungs.
his eyes widened.
i slowed, suddenly shy, suddenly unsure of where to put my hands or how close to stand. i stopped in front of him, feeling smaller under his gaze.
“you look…” he started, then stopped, letting out a quiet chuckle as he shook his head. “wow. i’m sorry, i—” i smiled softly. “thank you. you look good too.”
his lips curved into a small, almost relieved smile as he reached behind him and pulled out a single dark red rose. just one. simple. careful. meaningful in a way that made my chest ache.
“thank you,” i whispered, taking it from him gently. he nodded, clearly nervous too, then moved to open the passenger door for me. i slipped inside, the scent of vanilla and coconut surrounding me instantly.
everything felt different. the car. the air. him. me. no smoke. no chaos. no rushing.
he got in beside me and glanced over, catching me quietly looking around. “what?” he asked softly. “nothing,” i said after a moment. “i just thought nothing changed…but a lot did.”
he started the car, his hands steady on the wheel. “is that a good thing?” i nodded. “yeah. i think it is.”
the drive was calm, the streets glowing with soft lights. he drove carefully, like there was no rush, like the night belonged to us. i watched the city pass by through the window, feeling oddly peaceful.
he parked in front of an italian restaurant, and my eyes widened slightly. before i could even open the door, he was already there, holding it open for me, his hand extended. i hesitated just a second before taking it, our fingers naturally interlacing as if they remembered how.
inside, the restaurant was warm and intimate. candles flickered on each table, soft music humming in the background. we were led to a quiet corner, tucked away from everyone else.
he pulled my chair out for me. “thank you,” i said quietly. he smiled and sat across from me, the candlelight dancing across his face. when the waiter handed us menus, i pretended to read mine—but i could feel his eyes on me.
“chris,” i said softly, amused. “the menu’s in your hands.” he blinked, snapping out of it. “sorry. i just…you’re really beautiful.” my expression softened. “thank you.”
when the waiter left, silence settled between us—but it wasn’t uncomfortable. it felt gentle. full.
“do you like it here?” he asked carefully.
“i do,” i smiled. “i was surprised that you took me to restaurant…but it’s really nice.” he nodded, relieved. “i wanted to make this specual..to apologize, actually. i’m really—”
“not now,” i said gently, stopping him. he understood instantly. “yeah. sorry. bad timing.”
then there was a pause—not uncomfortable, just heavy with everything unsaid.
“so,” he started carefully. “college. how was it?” i smiled, leaning back slightly. “it was…amazing. hard. lonely at first. but it changed me. i learned a lot about myself.”
he nodded, listening closely. “what did you study again?” “psychology,” i said. “i almost quit the first year. i felt so lost.”
“but you didn’t,” he said quietly. “no,” i smiled. “i didn’t.”
“did you like the city?” “yeah,” i admitted. “but it never felt like home.”
he swallowed. “and did you…you know..” he paused and looked away “meet someone?” i hesitated, then nodded. “yeah. one guy, but he cheated on me after one year.”
chris scoffed instantly. “idiot. i mean—sorry. that sucks.” i laughed. “it’s okay. honestly, it taught me what i don’t want.” he relaxed a little. “good.”
“what about you?” i asked. “five years is a long time.” he shrugged. “i work at a business company, nothing exciting.” “chris..that’s amazing,” i said sincerely and he smiled a bit.
our food arrived, and the conversation flowed effortlessly—memories, jokes, small confessions. it felt easy. safe.
dessert came, rich and sweet, and we shared it without thinking twice. “this is incredible,” i said. chris smiled, then paused. “you’ve got chocolate here,” he said, pointing to my lower lip.
i tried to wipe it away, laughing quietly, but he leaned in, his thumb brushing gently against my lower lip as he cleaned it for me.
“thank you,” i said, my voice softer now. “for this. for tonight.” he shrugged, but his eyes stayed on mine. “yeah. anytime.”
then he paused, eyes flicking to my mouth. “wait—there’s still some.” before i could react, his thumb hovered—then he leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to my cheek.
“chris!” i protested, laughing.
and just like that—
a memory slipped in
the parking lot was almost empty, only a few cars scattered around like they didn’t really belong there. the yellow lights above us flickered softly, buzzing in that quiet way that only late nights had. the air smelled like fries, asphalt, and summer.
chris pulled the car into a spot and turned the engine off, but neither of us moved right away.
“you hungry?” he asked, glancing at me with a lazy smile. “always,” i laughed softly.
he grinned and leaned forward, resting his forehead against the steering wheel for a second like he was exhausted, then looked back at me. “mcdonald’s it is.”
we ended up sitting on the hood of the car instead of inside, legs dangling, the warm metal beneath us still holding heat from the day. paper bags sat between us, fries spilling out, wrappers crinkling every time we moved.
it was quiet in that comfortable way. no pressure. no expectations. just us.
we ate slowly, talking about nothing important. stupid things. people from school. jokes that didn’t even make sense anymore. he laughed a lot that night, real laughs, the kind that made his shoulders shake.
at some point, i felt something sticky on my lip. “ugh,” i muttered, wiping at my mouth with a napkin.
chris paused mid-bite, watching me. “you’ve got sauce on your lip.” “i do?” i frowned, wiping again. “where?”
“here,” he said, leaning closer. before i could react, his thumb brushed gently against my lower lip. it was quick, careful, like he was afraid to linger too long. my breath caught, but i didn’t move.
“there,” he said quietly. “got it.” “thanks,” i murmured, suddenly very aware of how close he was.
he pulled back, pretending nothing happened, grabbing another fry like his heart wasn’t racing too. we sat there for another minute.
then he tilted his head, squinting at me. “you still have some.” i groaned. “chris, no i don’t. you’re messing with me.”
“i swear,” he said seriously. “right there.” i wiped my lip again. “see? nothing.” he smiled slowly, that familiar mischievous smile. “huh.”
“what?” i asked. “nothing,” he said, leaning closer again. “just…hold still.”
i froze. his face was close enough that i could see the tiny freckle near his eye. close enough that i could smell fries on his breath. my heart was beating so loud i was sure he could hear it.
his thumb didn’t touch my lip this time.
instead—
he leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to my cheek. it lasted barely a second. “chris,” i said, half-laughing, half-breathless. “sorry,” he said quickly. “i just—i don’t know.”
back to now.
“ready to go?” he asked quietly. i nodded.
he paid for everything, then stood and offered his hand. i took it without hesitation, my fingers fitting into his like they always had. and as we walked out together, the night felt full of possibilities again.
