Just watched the video for thank u, next, and I really want to know how they ended up with this assortment of law books for her Elle Woods segment, because they are clearly all actually law books, but also not 1L books?

As far as I can see, we have: 

Immigration and Refugee Law & Policy (I’m pretty sure this is the book we used in my imm. law class)

American Law

Search & Seizure Law

Immigration and Nationality Law: Problems and Strategies

Two law dictionaries (I think they’re both Black’s, but they didn’t get permission for them, so they’ve blacked out “Black’s” on both. But you can clearly see the West publishing on the black one, and they publish Black’s). I can’t find a photo of one like the black one there, but here’s that big green book:

Anyway, I just have… questions. How did they decide on these books? Did they just find a random law student and ask to use their books? 

They’re clearly not just trying to remake the original shot, because Elle has no little table with books? 

I just want to know if they accosted some random person studying for their finals at some law library to ask if they could borrow some text books? Or did they rind a random attorney who’s a friend of one of the crew if they had some old books they could borrow and it turns out that person practices crimmigration law? These are the questions I need answers to, Ari.

I am 32 and I have been watching this political landscape spiral out of control for some time now.  So tell me, does Barak Obama deserve to be called a war criminal because of his drone strike policies?  Does he get called a bigot because he failed to defend LGBT people until late in his career?  Something tells me you won’t be picking up these stances or at the very least treating them with a touch of nuance.

Before you start drawing the line between human beings and monsters make sure your chosen metric isn’t just for your political opponents.

I added this lyric to the top of next week's spread using @over. I learned you can download free fonts from 2ttf.com and add them directly into Over - it's pretty awesome. Anyway, lyric from #legallyblondethemusical obviously. Chip on My Shoulder is probably the most motivating song in the show for me, especially coming from a poor background, having no lawyers in the family, having parents w/ only HS diplomas, etc. Somehow I made it through college and law school as a kid from a crappy economic background with ADHD and autism and other stuff that made it harder. Next week #beforethepen in my new digital planner (by @printstickshop) and in my #bighappyplanner. It's the last week before the bar exam and I've become re-obsessed with #legallyblondethemusical this month so I made the digital spread Legally Blonde themed. ☺ I decided to also use my paper planner since I didn't this week. It's not finished but really simple - just some basic planner & productivity stickers. Lots of motivational ones, I need it. 😂
