Currently, the only way I could see Alicent having a way against Rhaenyra is through Mysaria. They're matching in blue (a color Mysaria has never worn before) and this can't be a coincidence. Let's not forget their conversation in E5 with the "favor of a Hightower".
I see only two options for that. Either they communicate through Mysaria's spies when Alicent is locked in the Red Keep again (let's be real, paranoiac Rhaenyra ain't releasing her). Or people working for Mysaria attacked the men escorting Alicent and get their hands on her inside the streets of King's Landing.
From there, they could work together to get the smallfolk to rebel against Rhaenyra. But, assuming she isn't already in the Red Keep , eventually Alicent is gonna be back in front of Rhaenyra, rather she goes on her own or she's captured before the Dragon pit stroming. It's the Rhaenicent show, there is no way S3E6 is their last conversation. It's the Rhaenicent show, I bet you my first born Alicent will witness Rhaenyra's death.
A lot of people say S1 Alicent will be back. I wouldn't mind seeing the attitude (I freaking love when she's insolent and petty). But a crucial point y'all are forgetting about S1 Alicent is that she was at the prime of her power, she was the Queen, she had a support system for her actions and allies. Now, she has nothing left but her feelings and a 4 yo granddaughter trapped in a room.
There is so little she can do. Even if Alicent is somehow back on pro-green, she can't go back to them. If Rhaenyra closes King's Landing after hearing of Tumbleton like in the book, Alicent ain't gonna go anywhere. Aemond knows she betrayed them, the news that he is alive and reunited with Aegon is gonna reach her. Same for when they go to Tumbleton.
Thanks @dmcmercy for noticing it. Ormund's spy knows she let the Blacks inside the Red Keep. The both of them may be dead but Roxton is still alive. Rather it's from him or Aemond, Aegon is gonna find out about the betrayal. Even if he doesn't (he will), Alicent will assume he knows. We, as the audience, know that her sons would still spare her life but it doesn't mean Alicent sees it as well (maybe for Daeron, but def not for Aemond and Aegon).
What I'm saying is that the Green Queen as we know can't be back. If Alicent acts against Rhaenyra, it will be on her own or through some who isn't affiliated with the Greens (like I said most likely Mysaria).
However, I think ultimately Alicent will face the irony that when she no longer wants anything to do with her, Rhaenyra will be all she has left.
