Sad Robot

We are a 3 member band from Los Angeles. Our sound is best described as "Dirty Fuzz Pop Rock" Katherine (singer/keys), Nick (guitar/bass) and Jake (drums). We just released 2 singles Hold On (featured on Bones' Season 8 Premier Promo on Fox) and Sing. Our full album is launching this October 2012. Our 2010 LP, "The Beginning of the End" is also available on iTunes where songs such as "All Bad", Little Miss Bi-Polar and "The Movie" has had exposure at the Staples Center for the LA KINGS, The Bad Girls Club on Oxygen and feature films. If you like NBC's The Office and Glee- check out our music video God Damn the Man where we take the average 9-5 button pusher's angst and make a dance riot montage mixed with guitar smashing- dog riding and a beautiful guest star appearance of Kristen Renton from Son's of Anarchy! This video was so much fun to make and definitely worth watching and sharing. Thanks so much to our director Stephen Steelman and our cast of riot dancers and actors. You all made this video even more special ;)

We got a spot light on Rdio!!

I have so much to post about these days and am very grateful that I have this opportunity to do this.  We are thrilled about our new album, 1.0 releasing Tuesday, Oct. 30th!! Show tonight at El Cid

Hey ya'll-

In just a few hours... we will be on stage at El Cid and will be playing every song off our upcoming album featuring Hold On from the Bones Season 8 promo!

We are very stoked for play live again and just got out of rehearsals.  ;)  With 2 other great bands joining us tonight, the entertainment starts at 10pm.  

Our set is at 11pm sharp!

Our website is almost done!!  Just a few final touches on itunes links etc...

No one ever tells you how much work goes into music as a business but boy do I love it!!  (insert sarcasm ;)  )  

We have a lot of new things in store and are really excited to share with everyone.  We just wrapped on a music video this past weekend (Sept 1st and 2nd) for our upcoming song "Automatic Reset" with an amazing director Constantin and his crew shot at the historic Hotel Normandie in downtown LA.  Behind the scene shots were taken by photographer Kevin Schlanser who is kick ass with a camera.   We will post a couple pics now!  We will be shooting a music video THIS weekend for our song featured in Bones, "Hold On", and will get that up on Youtube soon! That same night of the shoot- we will have rehearsal and then a live show at El Cid in Silverlake, CA.  Yowzers- we are busy- overly caffeinated - lack of sleep- and much to do!  We are about to release our full album in October, featuring both versions of Hold On and many more of our songs.  Def- check it out.  You can preview the album here at our Official Website
