Expectation / Reality:
I'm kind of softie, I like drawing all sorts of tenderness and silliness, especially with serious characters like Viktor and Mordecai (but of course, angst, brutality and suffering are still highly valued by me)
I mean, someone has to create it, and I proudly take on the heavy responsibility of creating silly art with complex, dramatic and stern characters😤😤
shouting and hissing to whoever will listen (no one) about how much he loathes his siblings and wishes nothing but the worst for them, then immediately beating up anybody who attempts to agree with him. only HE gets to hate them!!!!!
he reaches out his hand without thinking and promptly has his hand shredded off.
i hit the jackpot with my initial rolls for the bishops' traits and got the pettable trait on all of them but narinder (i gave it to him through the exorcism altar because i felt like it)
though i depict them with a positive relationship, narinder is actually enemies with most of the bishops. heket and shamura were natural, but i interfered with him and leshy because i was bored and wanted to see if i could force them to become enemies and i succeeded.
he's friends with kallamar though. i imagine he’s no help in mending narinder’s and the rest of his siblings’ relationships, my willfully ignorant king.
but, i still think the first drawing could still be possible in my savefile. while narinder is enemies with them, i noticed that the other enemies he has are also their enemies. webber (poor dude!), meranna, poyel... its funny. the enemy of his enemy is... also his enemy, apparently. (￣∇￣)
i was going to really ram in just how angrily emotional narinder is in the first drawing, snot and all, but he looked too much like that one image of chopper from op and that’s a much too positive association for him.

Kallamar is quite love-struck in canon, according to some accounts, and he's the same in this AU, although his demands for his partners are quite high (often unattainable). He constantly dives headfirst into new relationships, only to become disillusioned and end them, accompanied by devastating tantrums, tears, and depression.
Shamura is already used to the fact that no one stays with their brother for long, so they doesn't worry too much about it. Heket and Leshy try to support Kallamar in their own way.
I woke up sick and had to do last-minute rewrites on this which was a HEINOUS combo. I'LL BE FINE OFC, I'M TAKING CARE OF MYSELF I just can't focus super well and this scene in particular was supposed to be sudden + volatile, but end quickly and still be understandable why he's acting the way he is. For narinder comics I usually get my lil sister to help with his thought process, but she was at work so I had to wing it...
Even though I dunk on him all the time, I don't hate narinder and hope my characterization of him on this blog doesn't come across entirely as "HE'S IN THE WRONG! HE SUCKS!". The thing that made me adore this game to begin with was the kind of lack of any "right answer" in regards to the schism. So even if I feel like the fandom has enough comics/art/writing/etc. of Redeemed Narinder to last a lifetime, I wanted to throw my hat in the ring and be like "okay but what if his absolute fucking mondo meltdown that made him attempt to kill his entire family stemmed from a lifelong fear that they all knew about, but had no choice but to put him through anyway."
You'll see more of it in the future, ESPECIALLY when I do the schism comic, but I wanted to start small with scenes like this so it's more understandable when he does eventually lose his shit and pretty much kill the person he loved the most
updated cult of the lamb animatic to the plagues (from the musical not the movie)
cw: animated gore, fast moving pngs that may or may not cause a bit of eye strain, oh and probably cult of the lamb spoilers but like genuinely i think the entire fandom already beat shamura so its not like this is a huge spoiler for something that came out like 4 years ago
did this take me 4 days for less than 30 seconds? yes. do i regret it? no
i love drawing shamura as visibly intimidating and threatening in their prime because they did kill most of the other gods to ever exist

when the brain damage fully starts getting noticeable you can see shamuras eyes start to hyper dilate and look down on one side of their face which is common with people with severe brain damage
also you can see as soon as that starts happening their hands go shakey and start to convulse a bit which is also an effect of severe brain damage
also if you notice something about shamura in this animatic and shamura in my doodles, shamura is visibly skinnier post brain damage as people with brain damage forget to eat and drink

they would probably call me weak and throw me into a fight pit to die but that’s okay i’m alright with a fate like that
maybe maybe not actually because i do consider myself relatively smart but maybe that’s the autism and the large amount of knowledge i hold from the massive degree of things i do bc i like researching every little thing when i like something in media. im sure shamura would definitely spare me even tho i am a weak as shit loser who talks back to authority and they wouldn’t immediately cull me
or my massive ego considering it was massive enough to think i, the person with a chronic illness who can barely get enough motivation to finish my leshy angst comic to somehow manage to finish a 6 minute animation when it took me 3-4 days to get 30 seconds
also the sea of X’s is different crowns from dead gods shamura killed for dramatic effect
also no narinder fans, i don’t have anything of note other than the fact i made him do the cat thing where his eyes dilate when he’s upset
