Kazemaru’s been up for at least an hour already and he’s still not over what had just happened — what is still happening. He saw teachers (…and some teachers in students’ bodies, whatever) going around and overheard them talking about trying to find some kind of cure for this. Good thing, too. It’s not like he felt particularly uncomfortable in his best friend’s body, but he had to admit that it was kind of really really awkward. He wondered where Endou was — was the other actually in his body or in someone else’s?

H-Hey, wait a sec ! Is something going on around here ? Did they start filming some prank show ?

With that sentence, Kazemaru felt someone pat his back. He heaves a sigh. “You better believe it’s not a prank show —” And then it hits him.

Whoever said that had an awfully familiar voice.

His voice.

Kazemaru turns towards the person, immensely relieved once he realizes that it was indeed him — his body. This made things less complicated somehow, what if people needed to find whoever was waltzing around in their body to change back or something like that?? You never know.

“Er..” He begins. “Endou, that’s you in my body, right?”

Wow.

Wow.

That was his body ? But it looked so... different and peculiar from the back! And not to mention the front as well...  Even though the boy never cared about his physical appearance too much, this still left him bewildered. He used to think that, y'know, maybe he wasn't so childish after playing so much soccer. However, a stranger that had no ties with the sport would have never guessed that Endou was an actual sportsman.

" Yeah !! It is me-- wait, did you just say your body ? " 

Letting his head fall a bit to the side and placing one of his hands on his round chin, the male began to think thoroughly. So if he was in Kazemaru's body and the one in front of him had his body and claimed that his friend's body was actually his that meant that the other person was...

" Me ?? Wait, but no that's... OH! KAZEMARU, IT'S YOU. "

Took him long enough. With a sprint, Endou was already next to the other. His legs were somewhat stronger and because they had kept their powers, his speed had been enhanced a lot.

" I don't really get what happend but... we switched bodies, right ? Maaan, I didn't even notice it until this morning. Last night, when it happend, I thought one of the dormmates switched on the lights so I yelled at them to turn it off and went back to sleep. Guess that didn't really solve anything, eh. "

As some -probably already dead- man has once said, expecting the unexpected would be the safest choice in a school like Tancho. The weird students, teachers and even hall monitors should've been a hint at the high rate of abnormality secluded in this place. The zombie outbreak, which was already finished, should've been the last straw for many students.

But this...

This just seemed like a well planned prank, albeit it wasn't funny at all. Endou noticed something was different as soon as he realized that this room was tidy, unlike his. Not being able to find his clothes, he scurried to the bathroom thinking he had accidentally left them there. To his surprise, he wasn't able to find his track suit but a completely different person.

" Kazemaru ?? " he jumped back, turning his head at the same time.

But no one was there. A few strands of blue hair blocked his view as realization soon dawned upon him. Kazemaru wasn't here, he was Kazemaru.

After a few minutes, the young male found himself outside, wondering about and trying to find well, his body. The confusion grew louder and louder as everyone hurried past him, obviously not comfortable about something. 

" H-Hey, wait a sec ! Is something going on around here ? Did they start filming some prank show ? " he patted the back of the closest person to him.

Sooner or later Ellis will acclimate himself with this new school. Somehow everything was understandable— despite the language barrier, he could still move around as if he were a native. It’s all a matter of what is where, that’s all. 

It was a pure stroke of luck for him to meet this other student. Ellis hasn’t talked much to anyone else since he’s arrived here, the inquisitive Southerner taking more focus on what’s where so he doesn’t get lost in later dates. It could be his old habits kicking in, he and three others surviving within a breakout. Getting lost when the quote-unquote “undead” are wandering about is pretty damn unwise. Fortunately Ellis was a native, knowing well his surroundings and where to escape if needed.

Otherwise he’ll just blow their brains out.

Endou caught that ball as if it wasn’t miskicked at all. The Southerner was colored surprised, impressed even! He smiled ear to ear.

“Whoa, man, great catch!!!”

Endou jogged up to him, sharing the same smile as Ellis had. Complimenting his kick. Embarrassed and with a sheepish grin, Ellis scratched the back of his neck.

“Shucks, man, guess it was from all that kickball I played as a kid. I ‘unno if I’d be a good guy on a soccer team an’ all!” To be fair, the mere thought got him excited.

“Oh, right!” Snapped out of his thoughts, he extended his own hand and shook Endou’s.

“Ellis! M’name’s Ellis, nice t’meetcha! Nah, I haven’t joined any clubs yet. Not even sure what kinda club I’d join yet, y’know?”

Endou was actually wondering why so many of them(if not all) could speak japanese so fluently if they weren't natives. Perhaps it was one of those ~high school mysteries~ that could be easily explained if given a little thought. However, his life centered around sports and not occult stories. Thus, he quickly disregarded the thought and returned his attention to the one in front of him.

Tall, well built, athletic and surprisingly nice. What more could he ask from a stranger ? Besides, the male had apparently already played some form of soccer when he was younger thus he wasn't a completely unaware of its beauty.

“Ellis... ” he repeated, as if to memorize it on the spot. “ I'll be sure to remember it ! ”

“ I've been in the soccer club since middle school and I can't see myself in any other clubs. I don't think I'd even have the time to participate in others, haha. Say, do you know where the main building is located ? Thing is, I haven't actually handed in my form yet so I'm not oficially... part of the soccer club yet... Maybe you'll also decide when we get there !  ”

Kazemaru laughs. “Me neither! Now that you’re here I’m beginning to hope that maybe, just maybe, some of the others are going to the same academy us.” It would be really great if that was the case. He hadn’t seen a lot of their old friends in a long while, after all, even if he stayed in touch with them through letters and e-mails and somesuch other means of communication.

When Endou’s hand freezes as he was patting the bluehead’s back, the corner of Kazemaru’s mouth twitch up mischievously.

“Heh, is that so? I was starting to question the authenticity of our long lasting friendship right there.” He teases, poking at Endou’s arm playfully. It doesn’t take him long to genuinely smile, though. Because he was really happy that Endou was here, and a part of him couldn’t exactly believe it yet!

Then, Kazemaru’s mind also trails off to those rocky times when they had to battle against Aliea; how his normally stable self-confidence began to falter with each of their failures, how he had eventually left and how the last words he had uttered to Endou were ‘I’m not strong like you’. Every time he occasionally replayed some of those moments inside of his head, he felt like mentally hitting himself over how stupid he was back then and more importantly just what kind of impact his leave had left on Endou (He had learned the details from the others, which made him feel an infinity times guiliter). When Endou speaks up again, Kazemaru shakes away those frivolous thoughts, the frown he didn’t realize he wore replaced by a smile once more.

“I’m glad you’re here, too.”

Kazemaru blinks when the other abruptly declares something about making a promise and it takes him a moment to actually respond. He grins, extending his arm out and letting his fist meet Endou’s.

“Yes. We’re gonna make that happen; one of the greatest soccer teams of all time will be ours, Tancho Academy’s!”

The words Kazemaru spouted made his heart beat faster. Could that mean that they would be able to play soccer again, together ? That sounded fantastic although it seemed sort of far fetched. Then again, Endou never really bothered to find out where the others had gone as he was half devastated to be separated from the others and half excited for his new high school life. And truth to be told, his day had started out quite well. A simple jog with the ball had turned into an almost tearful reunion.

" Maybe a  pass or two would prove to you the power of our friendship, " he playfully grinned, picking up the ball from the ground. 

"Yeah, man, Nacho Academy doesn't even know what great players it has. Oh, right, have you signed up yet ? I wanted to go now but the doors were closed... d'ya think they're still sleeping ? "

Gracefully turning around on his heels, the boy sprinted towards the goal post, the patched up ball still in his hands. After placing his legs in the perfect position and lowering his back just a bit, Endou kicked the ball towards his blue haired buddy. The air around it grew powerful and a normal person would've dodged it. However, that probably wasn't going to be Kazemaru's case.

" Come, Kazemaru !! Let's see if you've still got it . "

She accepted the ball as it was practically shoved into her hands. “Gao…” She stared at the ball silently. She wasn’t good with sports, not at all. The blue hues remained fixated on the object in her hands. She hesitated for a moment before turning it over in her hands several times. Finally her gaze turned back up to the boy.

Managers don’t play. That was a relief. She stared for a moment as she thought it over. Bringing refreshments would be the easiest part. A hand raised to her lips. She wasn’t sure she’d be a good mood maker. She let the thoughts sink in. It sounded sort of fun. He must really have liked soccer. She remained hesitant. 

She didn’t know how to gather information on other teams, or set moods. Heck, she didn’t even know how to fully talk to people. She sighed and held the ball out toward the boy. He was nice, and the offer was tempting, but she probably wasn’t the best person to join his team.

“Sorry…” the meek answer came. “I think… maybe someone else would be better.” She told him, with the warmest smile she could manage.

It was pretty obvious that the other wasn't doing so well physically but Endou thought there was nothing that a little training couldn't fix. Then again, he had been running around and playing soccer since a fragile age, against his mother's will.

However, he wasn't expecting his offer to be shot down like this. After all, the manager position was a delightful one that could bring you closer to others and could indirectly help peole out. Plus that it looked quite good on a CV, especially if the team had been successful.

" Aww man, are you sure ? I bet you would've been a great help, especially since we're running low on managers... " his shoulders slumped down.

" Ah, but don't worry !! I-I'm sure we'll find someone else, eventually. "

The boy introduces himself as Endou Mamoru, a freshman, and as totally lost. That made two of them yet, Yuki was probably as clueless about this school as he was… Wait, he figures that he better introduce himself too. “I’m Sanada Yuki, and I’m also a freshman. It’s uh, nice to meet you Endou.” Yuki ponders for a few seconds; he does recall passing by both the main building and soccer field when he was wandering around aimlessly. He’s glad he could at least help in something — that’s it if he doesn’t end up actually misleading the other. Oh God no Yuki no don’t think about that.

“Uh, if you want me to show you the way to the soccer field—or the main building, I think I can help you.” Yuki pauses to think about the other question Endou had asked him. “And…I think the ceremony is tomorrow morning…? Th-that’s what I remember, at least. If you want to be one hundred percent sure you should probably ask someone else.” He sort of feels stupid after saying that, wow. But Endou didn’t look like the kind of person to judge him or anything; the complete opposite of that actually. It’d be nice to be friends with a person like him!

Sanada Yuki... well that meant that the boy wasn't a foreigner, at least. Of course, after catching a glimpse of his cherry hair everyone would have to think twice before assigning him a nationality.  However, that wasn't one of Endou's priorities. He only wanted to get accustomed to the school's grounds, especially the soccer field.

" That would be great !! I'm glad I met someone who knows this place. "

With a smug smile, the boy gave Yuki a short pat on his back and started walking forward, only stopping for a minute when the other mentioned that the  ceremony was, in fact, tomorrow morning. This meant that he could've rested for more than 4 hours but what was done was done. Besides, his soccer addiction was showing up and the only thing he wanted to see now was the field.

" So, what way is it ? Is it this ? Or maybe this ? " he franatically jumped in place, pointing at different directions. " I think practicing on an actual field is going to be great. Back home, we couldn't use it because of the other teams, haha. Somehow, we still managed to win all the important competitions though. This brings back memories... "

!! ATTENTION SOCCER CLUB MEMBERS !!

I am super excited to see that so many people have joined this club !! (seriously, this is better than the whole first half of Inazuma Eleven) I am this team’s captain, Endou Mamoru, and this is the team’s coach, Kira Hiroto.  We also have an official uniform, designed by some cool dude. We still don’t know who is actually going to sew them but I’m sure it’ll work out somehow.

Now, I think it was time everyone actually picked a position. Huh ? Not all of you have played before ? Mmm, this could be troublesome… but alright, I’ll explain to you the basics !

Since there are 11 players that can actually go on the field, there are multiple formations in soccer that can either tighten the defense or the offense. Some of them can even balance the two !! Really, it all depends on the opponent and formations can change throughout the game. Naturally, we can also exchange the players on the field with the ones on the bench if they get injured or if the coach thinks it’s for the best so don’t be sad if you’re not out there on our first match.

There are 6 main positions in this team.

I’ll start with the managers. Even though they don’t get to play, they’re the team’s pillars. They bring us refreshments, information about the enemies or are simply mood makers. Of course, one person can’t really have all of these qualities so we’ll accept as many as possible.(sometimes you might even have to cook so…please…don’t do it if you want to poison us)

Next up is the goalkeeper position. I, myself, am one. It’s a tough one but it’s rewarding. You not only have to keep an eye on the ball, but also on the enemies and your other teammates. Staying in front of the goalpoast also means looking out for the other’s backs. Balance and a strong position are required. (we already have 2 but we accept more, no worries !! )

In front of the goalkeeper, you can find the defenders. As their title suggests, they’re the last frontier before the enemy reaches the goalpost. They need to be prepared to give it their all to block it but also need to have good passing skills. Most of the goalkeepers have strong feet and, even though they don’t move as much as the forwards, they also need to have great physical condition.

The midfielders are usually the connection between the forwards and the rest of the team. They need to have high speed and good eyes, ready to always seize the opportunity. They’re also usually the first ones to understand the team’s rhythm, increasing their pass and shoot accuracy.

Next, the ones who usually score the goal, the forwards. Their duty is to break through enemy defense and score one for the whole team. They’re usually bound to run the most but they’re also the ones who develop shooting techniques the fastest. With time, they learn how to gracefully curb the balls trajectory and also the goalkeeper’s strategies and body movements. There is also something called the ace striker, aka the one who wears number 10. They’re the usually the ones on which everyone depends as they score the most goals.

Last but not least, libero. This is a special but difficult position. Basically, if a person has all the qualities listed above, they’re free on the field.  They can assume any possition at any given time, depending on the circumstances. 

Please keep in mind that anyone can score a goal !! Even if you’re a goalkeeper, you can still leave your place (assuming the risks, of course) and go try out your luck.

If that was true about Endou, then Wocky would be really glad to not be judged upon first glance. It happened to him far too much, and by now, he was sick and tired of having to deal with it. If Wocky could only cast a glance at the sorts of people Endou had met and dealt with, then he really wouldn’t feel so bad about it!

But that was the first thing that struck him about this guy – he didn’t say anything about his looks, he didn’t look at him weird, not at all! Wocky hadn’t intended to show off the soccer skills he had at all – merely done what came naturally to him after having played for a few years when he was younger, but when the kid replied to him with such enthusiasm, telling him his shot was awesome, he couldn’t help but grin – and the way he’d caught it, Wocky was impressed too!

“Wow uh, y’really think? Yeah, I played in middle school, but I ain’t played seriously in a long time!”

Wocky watched as the boy ran over to him, incredibly excited. Like he’d previously thought, he hadn’t believed the kick to be anything special, but apparently this kid had thought so. He then mentioned the soccer team, and Wocky’s smile widened a bit. So they were both on the soccer team, and they were already getting along? Things were turning out better than expected!

“Ey, I’m on th’soccer team already! I don’ think they’s gonna tell you no, ‘specially with how good you is at catchin’ the ball!” Wocky offered his hand for a handshake as he started to walk off, leading him to the main building.

“Name’s Wocky Kitaki, nice t’meet you, G!”

And it really was!

Since he had already met one of his his former (and soon-to-be) teammates here, Endou had a feeling the two of them weren't the only ones from Inazuma who had been scouted to this high school. However, meeting new people that enjoyed soccer was far more interesting. The boy's imagination slid to the times when no one around him was excited for this sport; his mother disliked it, his father wasn't interested and not even his friends from the soccer club wanted to play. Hell, the only people with which he had actually gotten to play were the kids from the KFC team who were obviously not that much of a challenge to him. However, they were the ones who offered him a chance to train not only his goalkeeper skills, but also his captain/coach ones.

“ Yeah, I do !! Trust me, I've seen a lot of kicks in my life and yours has potential. ”

His dumb grin was almost contagious. Endou was happy that the other had also played during his middle school years, just like him. He did wish he had played seriously, though, maybe then they would have met at the FFI, the competition in which numerous countries had battled for supreme title. Of course, Japan had won, thanks to Endou and the others.

“ You are ?! That is great !! Oh, but that might also mean there might be others who have already joined as well !! Aaaalright, this is perfect. ”

After fistpumping the air once, the auburn haired boy continued.

“ Ah, but that might also mean someone has already taken the captain position. Well, I'm happy as long as I can actually play... I just hope they won't mind if I accidentally start shouting orders. ”

Wait, his name sounded really... foreign -- yet, his last name was japanese. That made things harder for Endou because he didn't think he could pronounce the first one.

“ Wo... wakey... wockey... h-hockey?? woc... Wocky !!” he screamed the last word, happy that he had finally managed to succeed.

 “ Oh, but maybe you'd like me to call you Kitaki-san or something, since you're older. Sorry, sorry, I used to have someone on the team who was about your age but told us to call him by his first name so I just figured you might be the same, haha. ”

Soccer was a thing Wocky had picked up as a child. He was as rambunctious as any other little boy, perhaps even more so, and he had boundless amounts of energy. His parents had tried to get him to do many different things to use that energy, and one of the few things that had actually clicked with him was soccer. He was fairly decent at it, but definitely nothing special.

He’d never been on a team before as his short temper and huge ego didn’t really allow for him to work well with others, so he’d usually played casually. However, when he arrived at Tancho and was given a list of extracurriculars, and told by his parents that he had to join some, he’d seen the soccer team and decided to give it a chance.

So he was a member of the soccer team. What now? Wocky sighed to himself as he walked around a field in the back of the school. This place was so boring. Classes hadn’t exactly started yet, not that it mattered since he wouldn’t do anything in them anyway, but at least it was something to do. Somewhere to go, someone to—

Was that a soccer ball?

“Ahhh, sorry, sorry ! Could you please pass it over to me ? I got carried away in thought, hahaha!!”

Wocky looked up curiously, his thoughts broken by a bright, excited voice coming from a kid in front of him. He was tiny, well, far smaller than him, and if Wocky had to guess, he was probably a freshman. He wanted him to pass the ball back. Hey, maybe if Wocky could just…channel that happier side of him, he could make a friend here.

He didn’t much care to make friends, not anymore and especially not here, but he did promise he’d try.

“Sure, G, jus’ gimme a sec…” Wocky said with a small smirk on his face as he took a couple of steps back, running forward and wham! Kicking the ball with great force, sending it right back to the kid!

Being a soccer player and thus travelling quite a lot ( at least, compared to others ), Endou was already  used with people looking a bit... different. In fact, even his former team had been filled with all sorts of people. Their differences made them stronger and they were able to pass through a lot of events together because of that so Endou never judged them based on their appearance alone. All their hard times seemed like a child's play right now and Endou was starting to focus on the future.

Right, back to the present now though. A taller and better built young man, who also looked sort of intimidating, had just kicked the ball right back at him. With a grunt, Endou extended his arms and caught it right at the peak of the shoot. His hands twitched a couple of times as he mumbled to himself something about 'always keeping his goalie gloves with him in case something like THIS ever happens again'. With a snort of laugh, the teenager flew right back on his feet, a dumb but excited smile gracing his features.

" That was a m a z i n g !! Have you played soccer before ? " 

Endou was easily excited by almost anything but this had really been a good pass. It was full of force and the curb had been just right. The speed of it almost took the auburn haired boy by surprise since he was not expecting someone skilled to actually pass by him.  While rushing to the other with the ball still in his hands, his imagination had grown wild. Yes, this guy was a perfect candidate and he wouldn't let go of him until he said yes to the dress  to his proposal.

That proposal being, of course... 

" Hey, I'm sort of lost. I think you'd be just the right person to take me to the main building. I want to join the soccer  club but I need to talk to some person from there first. Maaan, this feels so weird. It's like, I've always been part of one team, y'know. Now I suddenly have to ask for permission... "

" Oh, right. I'm Endou Mamoru and I'm new here. What about you ? "

Kazemaru picks the ball up after having kicked it into the goal and walks back to the middle of the field, juggling the ball a bit along the way. He shouldn’t be thinking about his teammates now; missing everyone back at Inazuma wasn’t exactly pleasant even if nostalgic and happy reminiscenting came with it. It did make him sort of sad that he appeared to be the only one from his hometown in this academy.

” Oooooi, are you interested in soccer ? Maybe you’d like to be a manager.. you sort of remind me of this girl I knew back in my town. Her name was NatKAZEMARU???? “

The moment he hears that, Kazemaru was about to say (maybe shout) something about ‘not being a girl!’ until he recognizes the voice and he freezes. The ball that he had been previously juggling bounces on the ground a couple of times before rolling away, and Kazemaru slowly turns around to where the person he never expected to meet here.

Endou Mamoru.

“E-Endou??” He finally stammers out after gaping at the other teen for a few fleeting moments. Was it really him? Kazemaru slowly walks up to him, just to make sure he wasn’t mixing faces up (who was he kidding, the orange headband he was wearing was enough of a give-away). “Endou— it’s really you…”

He didn’t even know what to say—he didn’t even know what exactly he’s feeling right now. Surprised? Yeah, more than that even, but not unpleasantly so. It was the complete opposite actually! After the initial shock he can feel himself get really happy and a grin creeps onto his features soon enough.

“Wow, I…Endou, it’s—it’s really good to see you again!!” Is all he says, for lack of anything better or eloquent. He just knew that he was actually over the roof happy—his childhood best friend was going to the same high school as him after all, and this is right after Kazemaru convinced himself that he won’t be seeing any of his old friends in a long time!

But then he reminds himself of something and his grin falters away.

“Endou…did you actually think I was a girl…?” After all these years of knowing each other, too.

Endou.

" Maaaaan, I didn't expect to see you here. " Endou affirmed whilst scratching the back of his head. " I was this sure we were all going to different high schools !! "

The boy's spread arms were a sign that he really wasn't joking. The firm belief that they would be separated for a long time still hadn't completely left him. He had even made preparations before he left : everyone's home adresses which would help him write letters. But now that he thinks about it, it was a pretty dumb idea. Maybe that's why everyone looked so flabbergasted when they were asked not for their new location but for their old one.

" Things would've been easier with those lap-things that Haruna uses. I wonder if she's still updating her blog... "

With a loud thump, Endou patted his friend's back a couple of times before his hand freezed in place.

"A-Ahaha, come on Kazemaru, we've known each other for so long. There's no way I'd think you're a girl. And besides, it wouldn't matter even if you were one !! You'd still be one of my best friends. "

With his true feelings surfaced out, Endou didn't feel ashamed anymore. His words were genuine and as honest as possible. They had known each other for quite some time and their relationship hadn't exactly been an easy one. For some reason, the teenager still felt remorse towards that one event. Kazemaru had always been there for him but he couldn't find the right way to express his feelings on time which ended up with the other leaving the team. Even though he returned and they had become friends again, something at the back of Endou's mind still bugged him.

" I'm glad you're here though. " the kid stated, a wild smile slowly taking over his serious face. " I was sort of starting to get homesick, haha."

A fist raised in the air, almost blocking the sun with its marvelousness. A crooked smile and determined eyes. A loud voice, meant for only two ears.

" Kazemaru !! Let's make a promise. "

He halted his words for a split second, just to give him time to turn around towards the other teenager, his hand still extended into a fist.

" The two of us, together with this school's students, shall create an even more powerful team and exciting memories. "

She shook her head eagerly, at the words of the ball being from his home town. “It’s not stupid,” she answered softly. “I brought lots of things from home~,” mostly stuffed dinosaurs. Fifteen, and she was still completely attached to the toys.

“I’m Misuzu.” She introduced herself with a quick bow before straightening in time to see the extended hand. She blinked at it before extending her own and shaking it. A wide smile on her face. So many nice people too, maybe they could be friends~ If she didn’t end up scaring him off the way she did with everyone.

A club? This was the first time someone actually asked her to join a club. “S-soccer?” Her eyes darted to the ball again, wondering if she’d actually have to play if she joined. “What does a manager do?” Confusion laced her voice. She was doubtful. She hadn’t planned to join in any sports or any clubs. Besides, she just wanted to go to school. Maybe she could even make friends or play with people, but that was a big if. After all, it wasn’t like she’d just up and gotten better.

Endou let out a huge sigh, like a bulky stone had just been taken off his chest. He had left his town before but never for too long. And this time, he had to stay there 3 whole years... And then followed college for which he didn't really have plans. Of course, his biggest dream was to become a professional soccer player but the idea of coaching a team didn't sound too bad either.

Such a well mannered girl, he thought, soon realizing he probably should have at least taken off his goalkeeper gloves. Well, what was done was done and there was no time to waste. It seemed like curiosity had taken the best of the girl and that made Endou happy. It was his chance to talk about something he thoroughly enjoyed.

" Haha, don't look so scared ! " he cracked a smile. " Here, there's nothing to be afraid of. "

As soon as he finished his sentence, he extended both of his arms again, slightly shoving the ball into the Misuzu's hands.

" Well, managers don't get to play but they're important assets to the team. They help the players by bringing them food or refreshments, they try to find out more about the rival teams and sometimes they're even the mood makers !! "

He stopped for a bit and continued.

" Oh, of course, if you'd like to actually learn how to play I wouldn't mind teaching you."

Settling into not only a new school, but a foreign school as well. Man, Ellis had it rough. That didn’t mean he’d let his cheer fall, no sir. Out of the four survivors, he had the reputation of being the most uppity and cheerful, and by George were they not kidding!

Acclimating himself to his new school, Ellis detoured to the outside campus area, taking in the breezy weather. Cool, crisp, not bitter like the Northern hemisphere’s weather. From the outside, he thought that it was no different from an American academy. It looked no different, that’s for sure… or it used to. He briefly wondered what Georgia’s like at this moment. Is it still fighting the Infection? Or did they win? Who knows…

A soccer ball nudged his foot, Ellis’s trance snapped for the moment.

“Eh— oh, whoops. Where’d ya come from?” Upon picking up the soccer ball, another voice called out.

” Ahhh, sorry, sorry ! Could you please pass it over to me ? I got carried away in thought, hahaha!! ”

That came from way over there! He turned his head, adjusting his cap to better see who exactly called out to him.

“Well hey!” 

“Sure thing, lemme just…!”

It wasn’t much fun to just throw it back! It’s a soccer ball, after all. Setting it down, it was pinned between the ground and his foot, if only to steady it. “Here it COMES!”

And there goes the kick. Sloppy, untrained, destined to miss Endou by a bit as it was sent outwards. It was still in Endou’s general direction, at least!

Luckily, Endou had no such problems. He was born and raised in Japan so he was used with the language and such. Although, something felt different... since he was a freshman, he only had a general idea of how high schools were supposed to look like but this one felt different, almost western. However, he was sure he was going to get used to it and, after all, it wasn't really the interior that interested him but the soccer field. 

In any case, he hadn't been able to find it yet. Lacking a map, the auburn haired boy had no choice but to take a break in hopes that someone would pass by him. He didn't miskick the ball on purpose though, and the fact that someone else actually was there right on time was pure luck. And what luck !! The older male looked trustworthy from his point of view and also quite... athletic, perhaps ? Maybe he used to be on the track team ?

" Ah ! " he let out a grunt as he jumped on the ground to catch the ball, as if he were in front of the goalpost. Happy he was still in shape, the teenager jumped up with a wide smile plastered on his face.

" That was a really powerful kick !! " Endou exclaimed as he sprinted towards the other male. " I think that with a little bit of training you'd be great at soccer ! "

After rapidly taking off the glove from his right hand, he extended it and started talking again.

" I'm Endou Mamoru and I'm the soccer club captain--- well, not quite yet but I heard this high school hasn't had a team in years so I was thinking of changing that !! Say, have you joined any club yet ? "
