My classes started two weeks ago, and I absolutely loved it. On the first day we had to make small groups of 5 and film and edit a music video in one day. It was super fun and a great bonding experience! I love my group and one of my uni friends is in it. We somehow ended up in the same school, and doing the same masters degree (and we’re both named Alice). However, the fun part of it didn’t last long because France is back on lockdown, and classes are online... Kind of bumped because we were supposed to produce another music video with much more time, and we had already planned everything... Anyway, I hope that you are all alright during those trying times, take care of yourself and your family!

collecting biographies of your favorite historical figures, piling them on your shelf

treasured family heirlooms

notes written in fountain pen, hands stained with ink

visiting the same museum exhibits over and over, knowing there’s always more to learn

studying by candlelight

thick textbooks spread out across your desk

treating history as a cautionary tale, turning pages of notes into lessons for the future
