one of the saddest things is when a show you invested so much of your time into and became emotionally attached to seriously fucks up and you are no longer captivated by it whether itâs because of illogical plots with zero substance, ooc characters, sexist writing or because the show kills off and treats minorities horrendously, and all you have left is this bitterness at how things turned out because something that once made you happy now leaves you emotionally and mentally drained.
Important Female Characters that have been cut out of Game of Thrones
Arianne Martell: The female heir to Dorne who demands recognition and acknowledgement and refuses to be passed over.
âYou will not rob me of my birthright!â
Wylla Manderly: Grandaughter of Wyman Manderly, insults the Freys in front of a hall full of people and refuses to be married off. And she has green hair which is pretty sick.
âHe was our king! He was brave and good, and the Freys murdered him. If Lord Stannis will avenge him, we should join Lord Stannisâ
Val: Sister of mance Rayderâs wife Dalla (who has also been cut) said to be extremely beautiful yet is fiercely independent and strong.
âI am no southron lady but a woman of the free folk. I know the forest better than all your black cloaked rangers. It holds no ghosts for me.â
Mya Stone: One of Robert Baratheonâs bastards, lives in the vale and is in charge of helping people up to the Eyrie.
âMen come and go. They lie, or die, or leave you. A mountain is not a man, though, and stone is a mountainâs daughter. I trust my father, and I trust my mules. I wonât fall.â
Lady Stoneheart: *spoiler alert or not really because she wonât be in the show* Catelyn Stark resurrected seeking revenge on the Freyâs and leading the Brotherhood without banners (thereâs your revenge plot D&D)
âShe donât speak. You bloody bastards cut her throat too deep for that. But she remembers.â
Asha Greyjoy: not to be confused with whoever âYaraâ Greyjoy is, Asha does not believe in flippantly calling people âcuntsâ and is not scared of dogs.
âMy mother raised me to be boldâ
Alysane Mormont: Fights with Stannisâ army and guards Asha when she is captured (oops not really spoilers again) and donât tell me that they donât become best friends because they do.
âMormont women are skinchangers. We turn into bears and find mates in the woods.â
Barbrey Dustin: The widow of Lord Dustin, hates the Starks because she blames Ned for the death of her husband. She is cunning, intelligent and one of Roose Boltonâs biggest supporters in Winterfell (but you know in the show no northern lords are in Winterfell because logic)
âThe bride weeps ⊠Dressing her in grey and white serves no good if the girl is left to sob. The Freys might not care, but the northmen ⊠they fear the Dreadfort, but they love the Starks.â
All these women are unique, different and complicated, even though some of them do not fit into d&dâs âstrong womenâ or âsexually empoweredâ archetypes they are important and interesting parts of the story. All of these amazing characters were axed in favor of a storyline depicting a violent rape and that is truly unforgivable and disgusting.
3x01 II 6x04
Matt Murdock: constantly questions the morality of killing his enemies
Luke Cage: constantly questions the morality of killing his enemies
Danny Rand: constantly questions the morality of killing his enemies
Jessica Jones: "smile :)"
if youve seen more than 5 animes youre problematicÂ
me, a linguistics cowboy: what in translation
u know when u watch a movie and afterward youâre like âgod the score was so fucken good who composed itâ and the answer is hans zimmer every time
ok but have any of you thought about pacific rim from the perspective of the precursorsÂ
itâs like. you just bought a new house, but itâs infested with termites, so you call the exterminator thinking âalright, yeah, just get those termites gone and then we can get moved inâÂ
the exterminator drops off the face of the planet. you never hear from them again. so you send in another, and you just keep sending them, and itâs always the same. youâre wondering if thereâs something up by this point.Â
and then one of them comes back, battle-torn and bedraggled like âTHE TERMITES HAVE BUILT HUMAN-SIZED CONSTRUCTS OUT OF SAWDUST AND SCRAP WIRING AND ONE ESTABLISHED A PSYCHIC LINK WITH ME.âÂ
by this point youâre saying âwhat the entire fuck.âÂ
so you call in the best of the best, the Elite exterminators, and guess what? the termites slaughter them all in a coordinated assault, and then come to your house disguised as one of the exterminators and set off a pipe bomb in your garage.Â
man, thatâd be a trip and a half
i feel like wonder woman could get away with throwing batman over her shoulder to carry him away exactly once, just because she would have the element of surprise. batman prepares for everything but there are limits. if you were batman would you ever in a million years expect a woman who is two inches shorter than you in one-inch heels to just pick you up and leave like sheâs carrying a bag of sand to build a wall. like you are the victim of a cartoon caveman from the fifties. i postulate that you would not. maybe in her arms like a lumberjackâs bride, but a firemanâs carry? while he is not only conscious, but entirely capable of moving under his own power? this is the one scenario that batman never prepared for and he suffers the consequences. she could never get away with it again and so she doesnât even try but from that moment on the possibility is always in the back of his mind. he is on alert. he wants her to try again so he can prove it wonât work this time. she never gives him the satisfaction. he can never explain to anyone how he is suffering. no one will understand. he stands on a rooftop in the rain and broods.
I love this?
me: okay, thatâs enough. i canât live like this. i gotta change my life. i gotta make moves
the world: ok here is an Opportunity
