Hiccup: *hiding something in his coat* I think we should adopt another kid!
Astrid: No
Hiccup: Why not?
Astrid: Because when you say “kid”, you mean “small dragon”, and we already have fifteen of those
Hiccup: *unzips coat* Sixteen

Gakushuu: you lying, cheating, piece of garbage!
Karma: oh yeah? You’re the idiot who thinks you can get away with everything you do. WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD!
Gakushuu: I’m leaving and I’m taking Nagisa with me!
Ren, picking up the monopoly board: I think it’s time for a break-
jeremyrenner Thank you all for your kind words. 🙏. Im too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all.
…the longest 14 minutes of these guys lives lol
I had the office on as background noise so this happened, aka. how I’ve spent a week in a niche joke lol anyway, I guess you could call it……. ✨the (military) office✨ 😏
I was watching httyd 1 with a friend and she noticed this…
When they have captured Toothless in the ring a Viking walks up beside Stoick with an axe, awaiting orders to kill the beast
And Stoick looks at the axe
Then he looks at Toothless
And finally he pushes the axe away, telling them to “put it with the others” instead
I always wondered why Stoick didn’t immediately kill Toothless, now I understand. Although Stoick didn’t understand it, his son had begged him not to hurt Toothless, and for once, in this bitter-sweet moment of mercy, Stoick listened to his son

Happy birthday Asano Gakushuu - 2023.01.01
Karma, and Christmas.
Happy birthday, you sweet weird devil.
Dec 25th, 2022.
Gakushuu: if you bite it and you die, it’s poisonous, if it bites you and you die, it’s venemous
Terasaka: what if it bites me and it dies?
Itona: that means your poisonous, Jesus Christ Terasaka learn to listen
Kayano: what if it bites itself and I die?
Hazama: that’s voodoo
Nagisa: what if it bites me and someone else dies?
Takebayashi: that’s correlation, not causation
Rio: what if we bite each other and no one dies?
Karma: that’s kinky
Gakushuu: oh my god
inspired by this post: http://aolucy565.tumblr.com/post/150717749156/what-kind-of-persondo-you-think-gakushuu-would-be
In this world, Gakuhou Asano curls his lip when his son scores an 80 and inquires on how he plans to succeed in life. Gakushuu grits his teeth and studies until his eyes are strained in the dim light as he thinks, Never enough. He wants to be enough.
In another world, Ikeda waits just one more day to make his decision. He tells his mentor about the people who have been bullying him and Gakuhou listens. He finds Ikeda help and teaches his students to protect each other, because everyone matters, and anyone can do good for another. Gakushuu learns to lead the same way Yuuma Isogai does — that there are people beside him, and they’re willing to help him. Here, Gakuhou never establishes a Class E, but Kunugigaoka is still one of the most successful schools in the nation with Gakushuu right at the top of the rankings.
In another world, Gakushuu Asano studies because he loves learning. Not because of his need to be the best, but because he loves knowledge. Because it makes him happy. There is nothing more magical than the world, and he devours everything he can out of love and passion, not because he wants to get ahead. He has an insatiable curiosity that Gakuhou Asano is proud of and he can’t learn everything at fourteen years old, but he’s damn well going to try. He loves books and philosophy and art and science and math and languages, and he’s always restless, always learning, always eager for more — and his dad is always, always proud of him. Gakuhou teaches him how to pronounce his r’s in English, to invite the kid hiding under the tree for a push on the swings, to write an essay and to always say please and thank you instead of considering it something he’s owed.
In another world, Gakushuu Asano is happy to listen to the Virtuosos talk about their special interests. Ren’s poetry recitations are welcomed; Gakushuu teaches Koyama there’s more to science than jamming facts and numbers into his brain. He encourages Araki to seek out the truth in his journalism and reads books with Seo because he likes to. Karma Akabane still gets into fights too often and doesn’t listen to the teachers, but he also doesn’t dig under Gakushuu’s skin the same way; instead, they talk mathematics and teach each other new ways to learn, and it’s hard not to be charmed by how Gakushuu’s eyes light up when he sees Karma invented his own formula or taught himself a new way to draw a molecule and they build, build, build together and they high-five when their work is done.
In another world, Gakushuu gets an 80 and his father teaches him how to do what he missed. Always double-check your process, Asano, you don’t want to mix up a positive sign with a negative. In exams, he and Karma patch up each others’ gaps rather than trying to poke holes in each other. Yuuma Isogai grieves when his father dies, but Gakushuu never reports him for working a job, and sometimes when Isogai is tired, Gakushuu stops by the cafe to drop off the homework because kindness is admirable and Gakushuu knows that while he doesn’t have that level of altruism, he can try to aim for it.
In another world, Gakushuu stays up late because of his own fervor — he has to find out how this phenomenon works, even if the only way to understand is to force it out of a tired, humming laptop and textbook pages that are barely readable in the light. When he’s tired, it’s worth it. There are no bare minimums, no you have to do this if you want to be worth something. He covers his room in posters and books, not just textbooks or what he needs but what interests him, and that’s everything, because everything is fascinating and alive and has its own kind of beauty. Gakuhou reminds him not to overwork himself, switches off the lights by midnight and reins in his enthusiasm because he shouldn’t kill himself chasing knowledge, but he still smiles when Gakushuu says, Dad, look at this thing I found —
In another world, Gakushuu Asano is happy to share knowledge, rather than guarding it as a precious treasure, because knowledge is for everyone — and his father is happy to have him as a son, rather than a weapon.
In another world, Gakushuu Asano is always enough.
Make me sad why don’t you
Karma: Anything you say in the next thirty seconds is free. Starting right now.
Asano: I think you’re cocky. Arrogant. Bossy and pushy. You also have a god complex and don’t think of anybody but your damn self.
Karma: But I-
Asano: But what? I still have 22 seconds and I’m not done.
My favorite Karushuu headcanon is that, if they were to get engaged later in life, they’d go on to tell Principal Asano about it. And his response would be a resounding “... wait, were you two actually dating this whole time?”
Gakushuu: My principal used to say 'if everyone you knew jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge would you jump off too?'.
Ren just trying to eat his lunch:...
Gakushuu: And the answer is always yes, because eventually the bodies would be pilled up so high that I could jump off safely and have a soft landing.
mini head canon time!!!!
ok so- I've always wondered what Gakushuu's height was, and since it was never said I get creative freedom to do whatever I please
anyway
in high school, both Karma and Gakushuu were competitive over anything and everything (this can be just rivals or romantic, or both-) and for the first two years and first half of third year, Gakushuu was taller. Like about 5'11. Maybe Karma didn't really have a growth spurt in highschool, or smth. Moving on, Gakushuu holds his superior height over Karma's head for the longest time. Literally. And then, somehow at the last semester of year three, this mf somehow grows like 5-6 inches in idk- 4 months. The school is shook.
Karma is delighted, Gakushuu is mourning, and Nagisa is now alone on the 'I didn't grow at all since middle school' train. And that's the story on how Karma became a literal 6'3 beanpole.
Bonus points if Gakushuu never hits 6'0 and has to suffer for the rest of his life being shorter than his dad.
Im getting “Hes my fav so he must suffer” vibes from this and I’m here for it
