A page from my pathophysiology notes from last semester 📖
29.1.17 //
Doing my “weekly” clear out of my college folder into my subject folders that I keep at home. I find that this is a much easier system than carrying around 4 giant folders everyday. But I do sometimes forget to empty it out at the weekend and I end up with no space!
31.01.2017 // I hate giving presentations and I hate ethics but i love my tea cup so we’ll see how it goes … ☕️📖📘

Starting the 100 Days of Productivity again. 1/100 Memorising Latin vocabulary right now. Spent the morning and early afternoon studying for UMAT and looking at universities and noting down application processes and such. After this, it’s time to revise for maths !
12:57pm / lazy sundays accompanied by napping friends and chemistry revision

27.3.16// I’ve been making the most of my new pens today. I spent this morning working on a maths practice paper. It was quite challenging so I’m glad I did it and hopefully if I do a few more I will get a grasp of it before the exam in the summer.
03.24.16 Thank you freezing rain for the 5 day Easter weekend! Can you tell I love staying home? ~

Aspiring Tips: All-Nighters
Just because I was recently dubbed the master of no sleep by my friend group (thanks guys). Here’s a list of tips if you’re pulling an all-nighter.
(During the night) Eat a big dinner at around 6 or 7 o’clock. If you keep eating throughout the night then your body will automatically become more fatigued because it is getting into a comfortable state of full+tired which typically=sleepy time. Eat crackers or other non-fat involved snacks if the hunger gets too much later on.
(During the next day) Carry around snacks and keep yourself always munching on something. You don’t have to be hypoglycemic to get cranky when you get hungry when you’re running on 0 hours of sleep. If you keep yourself fed, but not stuffed, then you’ll be a much happier camper.
Drink lots of water. I feel as if I shouldn’t have to explain this one but we are humans, and the more hydrated you are, the better off you’ll be. The water will also help with your mental cognition considering you are running on nothing and that typically means all thoughts go out the window.
Take breaks in your studying. Never just sit down and try to go for a single solid study session of ten hours. Take breaks in-between the material so your mind can rest and at least some of the information will sink in in that time.
Keep your body at a luke-warm temperature. You stay too warm and you’ll get too comfortable too fast and probably fall asleep. If you’re too cold you won’t be able to concentrate and your body may eventually shut down to try and produce heat.
Eliminate all other distractions outside your breaks. Music eventually will distract you and get you singing to it, even if you know the song and typically use it for studying. Computers will having you wanting to be on them constantly, and phones are just no questioned asked, removed.
Take naps when needed. Leave the lights on and lay down on a…not so comfortable surface (the floor with a pillow works best). Figure out a time that works best for you and set your timer accordingly(I typically go for around 7 minutes). DO NOT go for the long naps because trust me you will not wake up in time from those.
You will get bored. Deal with it.
If your body tells you to go sleep the next day before you usually do, listen to it. The worst thing you can do for yourself after an all-nighter is try and pull another all-nighter. Don’t even try to go for your normal bed time. If you’re about to pass out, go to bed already. This is no he-man game. This is your fucking health and long term sleep depravity will take years off your life.
Final tip.
Don’t pull an all-nighter unless you absolutely have to. Even if it’s four am and you get up at five. Go to fucking bed. That one hour is better than nothing, trust me.
