I read this quote from Virginia Woolf “ I want to write a novel about Silence," he said; “the things people don’t say. “ and it got me thinking 🖋️ reblog is ok, don’t repost/use

today was great! i’ve recently started practicing yoga in the mornings, and i’m loving it so much. other than yoga, i make sure to do physical activity during the day, and today it was walking.
after that, i spent the afternoon planning my upcoming academic year and the rest of my plan & goals for the remainder of this summer.
🌟 i’m using an excel sheet to track my performance in each course i’m studying. basically, it helps me determine which topics i’m confident with and which topics i’m struggling with, so i know what topics to study and work on everyday (start with the weakest topic).

Tried a new bakery and cafe, and tried working with the friend I'm going to share an office with next year. Thank god, we work well together, and the cafe was good!

Journaling a lot lately. I love going to cafes and writing for as long as I can. It’s how I treat myself after a long week.
one of the biggest things I can advocate for (in academia, but also just in life) is to build credibility with yourself. It’s easy to fall into the habit of thinking of yourself as someone who does things last minute or who struggles to start tasks. people will tell you that you just need to build different habits, but I know for me at least the idea of ‘habit’ is sort of abstract and dehumanizing. Credibility is more like ‘I’ve done this before, so I know I can do it, and more importantly I trust myself to do it’. you set an assignment goal for the day and you meet it, and then you feel stronger setting one the next day. You establish a relationship with yourself that’s built on confidence and trust. That in turn starts to erode the barrier of insecurity and perfectionism and makes it easier to start and finish tasks. reframing the narrative as a process of building credibility makes it easier to celebrate each step and recognize how strong your relationship with yourself can become
"this must hit so hard if youre stupid" is such a simple yet incredible rinse i think it might change the hating game forever
my tips for students that struggle with consistency
You’re never too old to learn something new. Never stop studying.

I don’t care about it at all (I have carried its weight around like a rock on my chest since the very day it happened)
obsessed where stories where it is like. the mistakes are unfixable and the worst thing that could happen happened and nothing can go back to how it was. but there was still love in this and love will continue after this and love endures always.

I did a little studying before class. I thought my building looked kinda pretty after class ended. 🏫
