TOPIC 3: Describing my City

Algiers is my city, it's the capital and the biggest city of Algeria, it is stuated in the northen center of َAlgeria.

The city contains two part. Old part called "Casba" which is on the hills' edge with 122 m on the sea surface behind the new town, and a new part beside the sea.

There are many beautiful and famous places in my city such as: “Riad El-fath, Sahat Shohada, Experiments Garden El-hama …ext”

Our accent is a mixture between Arabic and French. My city is famous by cooking “Couscous, Rechta, Harisa”, we usualy cook CousCous on Fridays (week-end).

Skype conversation with Hussam

Yesterday, I talked to Hussam on Skype, we started by introducing ourselves, we have also talked about ENS community’ terms.

He informed me about some traditions in our ENS community that I hadn’t known before, I told him that I was a little confused between when to use past and present perfect tenses, so he helped me by giving me some information about this; He told me also that my English was good.

We had finished our conversation by saying good-bye in both Arabic and English.

        I have listened to your audio already. The structure of your audio is really good! Your ideas are easy to understand. One area in which I’d like to give you feedback is the final sound of some words, like the words ‘told’ and ‘help’. You should make sure that you are fully forming that sound to pronounce the words correctly.                                             Keep working together, Hussam.

I’d say that the answer is 0 (zero). First, you have to solve the problem in brackets (which is 1+2=3). Then, you multiply that result by 2, which is equal to 6. Finally, 6 divided by 6 equals 0.

That’d be my answer. Am I right, guys?

             It’s my pleasure, Cristain. I Just confuse about the answer of this              question between 9 and 1. Which one is the correct answer?                    Because I will use this question to teach my young learners at                  school. Thank you for sharing me your idea.

I think that you were mistaken about this because (1+2)=3 and 2(3) =6 and we have 6/6 = 1 , not 0 like you said.
